Just a quick question: is it still okay to use the cf-auto root method to root the AT&T Note 2 running 4.4.2? I have the up to date versions of Odin and SuperSu, but the most recent version of cf auto root that is available for the note 2 is compatible with 4.1. Is this still a safe and sure method of root?

No, there isnt. But chainfire's auto root is just as easy.
I mean... can it get any easier than flashing cwm and su in odin? It takes 2 minutes...

Dude, just installing supersu app from playstore wont give you root access. You have to install su binaries in your 'system' partition. You will definitely require a pc for that..
By the way supersu is just an app to manage root permissions, it wont give u root

Just flash super su with your prefered recovery (like cwm or twrp). Download the zip from here: http://download.chainfire.eu/370/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.80.zip flash it and you'll gain root.

Just rooted my phone using Kingo
Galaxy Note 2 GT-N7100
Build XXUEMK4 (India)
Knox Bootloader
WITHOUT tripping the Knox Counter!!!
Though Device status shows "Custom"
Can be taken care of by Using Xpose Framework & Wanam
Thanks.
Major.
Search the forum for further instructions.
Forgot to mention that i have Galaxy note 2 GT-N7105.
Would it be possible to flash 4.3 via odin then just root again. This is coming from a stock rooted firmware.Would the new bootloader cause any problem in rooting. Thanks.

Hello, I have a tmobile galaxy note 3 and updated from 4.3 to 4.2.2. I was rooted on 4.3 but now I can't seem to get rooted on 4.2.2. What I did was I downloaded
SM-N9005 CF-Auto root and extracted that. Downloaded Odin 3.09 and of course drivers. When I set up everything in Odin and put my phone in download mode everything worked fine. When my phone restarted after the root was finished successfully I had root checker installed and it said I had no root. Is there something I missed or left out?
