Hi everyone,
I'm asking your help because even after some hours i can't get rid of this wifi issue .
I had the VenomViper 2.5.0 on my phone. It was going well but i was expecting to upgrade.
I went on venom web site and i saw : "IF YOU DON’T INSTALL THE NEW FIRMWARE YOUR WIFI WILL STOP WORKING"
So after few research, I found a firmware on this website http://android-revolution-hd.blogspot.co.uk/p/android-revolution-hd-mirror-site-var.html.
Obviously i decided (like a dummy) to install the last one. I used my twrp recovery. NP
"KitKat (Android 4.4.4 + HTC Sense 6.0)
Download Android Revolution HD 21.1"
And when the phone finally boot on... No more wifi. I tried many things but it's still the same...
So i'm wondering if someone can please help me to fix this issue.
Thanks for all !!!!
That is a ROM that you downloaded and installed, not firmware.
Firmware is under "Firmware collection" on the page you linked. Firmware is flashed with fastboot, not TWRP. Also, s-off is required.
Complete instructions on how to do so here (Method 2): http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/development/progress-fuu-m8-t2813792

I followed all the tutorials, but keep getting stuck on the flash firmware bit.
I unlocked my phone, superuser-ed it and flashed latest CWM recovery.
All the files are on the sd, but I can't get ARHD 5 rom to work on my device.
In the thread they suggested I posted here to see if any other t-mobile users with a T-mobile locked rom 1.26 still (CID 110.5) got it to work with their device.
Been searching for hours now...
Solved...
Successfully updated, if any mod wants to remove this thread...Thanks
I was trying to install custom rom on my unlocked HTC One M8 and I probably messed up somewhere along the way.
My phone is rooted and S-off. Its got twrp version 2.7.0.2 (if it matters).
I was trying to install skydragon gpe ROM.
This is how my process went : First I backed up my current rom on an SD card (The HTC version with sense and lollipop) and did a factory reset on my phone and tried to install Skydragon for M8.
Soon as I started the process, it said install failed. This is the image i57.tinypic.com/15h6iq.jpg
I tried another rom. Same thing. Failed. I've tried some 5 or 6 roms so far. Nothing works.
To make things worse, when I restore my previous backup (HTC Sense version), it does go through all the way, says its successful.
But, on reboot, the phone is stuck in the HTC One logo and does not proceed at all.
Now my phone isn't usable at all.
Any suggestion helps.
Please help.
Or you need to update the firmware or you need to update the TWRP ! 2.7 is very old !
How do I update twrp without an OS on the phone.
I'm sorry if this is a dumb question. I'm new to all this.
I tried to update my firmware but all the instructions I found on the web needed an OS installed on the phone.
May be I'm doing it wrong. I have mac to work with or a windows computer with no USB 2.0 ( I only have 3.0 USB). And those instructions say its not 3.0 compatible.
Could someone please post a link that could help me. I tried but could not find one.

It worked!
Finally !!! Don't know how I did it but it worked. I somehow managed to update the twrp recovery (which was what was apparently hindering the OS install in the first place). And then I went ahead and flash my custom rom. And this time it worked flawlessly.
Thanks guys
Hi,
First time to post a question. Please, be patient.
Problems:
1. Fast boot goes into AC (no usb, so no connection with the laptop)
2. Camera not working
What I've done:
1. Flashed TWRP 2.8.4
2. Flashed custom ROMs with no back up (stupid I know)
3. Flashed the Beatmod ROM, then tried to go back to custom ROMs last was [OTA ZIP+TWRP] HTC Desire Eye 2.19.401.1 STOCK Europe 5.0.2 Lollipop, all haven't sorted the issue
3. Flashed the 0PFHIMG firmware, no differece
2 things I've noticed as well while doing these trials: the TWRP says no MD5 file found and when tried to flash crdroid-5.1.1-20151003-eyeul it said your device is M8.
Would really appreciate ur help
bricked, same as me, is because we dint have s-off, just return back to stock with RUU.exe program idk
Hi folks,
I bought a stock German Vodafone HTC M9 on Android 5.1 with software 2.10.410.1 HTC sense 7.0 and everything had been going fine until Friday, my battery died and when I plugged it back in it looks like it tried to update to Marshmallow, it looks like that failed but my main problem is that now I have no navigation softkeys, it looks like HTC sense isn't loading up as I have no themes either. I tried an OTA update (fails on the "System partition has unexpected contents" issue). Since that happened I've tried a soft reset, hard reset, install an RUU.exe ( get correct rom update utility, Error 131), so far no joy. I was considering installing TWRP and trying to go back to a stock recovery (I was talking to HTC support and they want me to send my phone to a repair centre, I'd prefer to try fix it myself). My question is, would reverting to a stock recovery even bring back my softkeys or am I barking up the wrong tree? I have unlocked the bootloader now and I will probably end up S-off and playing around with custom ROMs in future but for now I just want my phone to work, it's been a weekend and I'm getting phone withdrawals. I'm in work now so just browsing the forums and seeing what other people are doing but nobody seems to have the same softkey issue as me?
Jamie
Fixed!!!!
Great success! Just in case anyone comes looking for solutions to problems similar to mine and wants to revert to stock firmware without S-OFF and finds an empty thread here's what I did ....
The way I went about it you'll need a micro SD (larger than 4GB I think, no maximum size according to Flippys instructions)
I followed this guide from KingInTheNorth up until the point where I had TWRP installed, this guide will get you through downloading files, tools and drivers unlocking bootloader and flashing TWRP. I DID NOT install SU as I didn't want to root my phone just restore it to stock so I could upgrade to Marshmallow through HTCs OTA update that originally broke my phone.

I followed Flippy498s guide to getting back to stock recovery (under the TWRP backups tab), this sheet also lets you download stock recoverys to match your firmware because Flippy seems to be a legend.

Team Win the folks who make TWRP make a fantastic tool, I started out trying to fix my broken phone and finished out wanting to try new ROMS and playing around to see what else I can do, at least now I have some idea where to start!
Have fun!

Hey guys, since the 10 finally got the update to 8.0 in Europe I wanted to undo my root and go back to stock. I used this https://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-10/how-to/stock-stock-collection-recovery-ruu-ota-t3359297 and this https://theunlockr.com/2016/08/18/u...Backup-Stock-Recovery-and-OTA-for-your-HTC-10 to do it step by step, obviously.
After I restored the TWRP backup version 1.80.401.3 provided in the thread my phone entered bootloop but I still have access to the recovery, bootloader and download mode.
I am honestly at a loss and have absolutely no idea what I have to do from here on. Does anyone know what I would have to do and would be so kind to tell me. I only want my stock, unrooted phone back.
My phone model is 2PS6200 and the CID is HTC__034.
Did you check to see if the RUU is available so you can reflash to stock 8.0?

Yeah I did check and found one https://forum.xda-developers.com/ht...-updated-s-t3376329/post73691127#post73691127. I suppose I would have to flash that and repeat the steps that are shown on the theunlockr page?
I'm still on 7.0 if that didn't quite come out of my issue description. My apologies for that.
I basically wanted to update to 8. because I saw that it came out here in Europe a couple of days ago but since I my phone was rooted I got this "corrupted system files" error.
Some more information for my problem:
- Shows S-ON in download mode
- my phon is on OS-2.41.401.41
Edit: Is there even a way to flash the RUU if you can't get your phone to boot to the home screen? (At least that's how it's shown on the theunlockr guide.)
