This happened to me a few times. A reboot or force closing TW usually fixes it. I think it's a bug with TW. Hoping an update comes soon.
yeah i thought it was a bug but hopefully 5.0 comes next month .. just been doin that "reboot" and everytime i come back its a different icon that's not there .. truly dont want to reset everything and do a wipe.

Do you have art enabled?
Switching back to dalvik fixes it.
ive read that davlik messes with the system a good bit switching back and forth ... what is art ... thats what it was on straight from the box

Art is a system runtime which is faster but it is not working on our phone at the moment.
A stock phone should be on dalvik but check to make sure anyway because art causes weird things to happen to touchwiz.
thanks for the info .. i havent looked into all that .. maybe i read it the other way around ART is the bad one .. but i know my phone is on ART becuz i figured it went with the new Spen features

Hey all,
I get FCs when I exit from an app that has left a folder open. I want to stay on Touchwiz cuz I like the widgets but this is becoming frustrating.
Anyone else experiencing this? I have latest fw but it did this with original stock too...

it happens to me also, but not every time. if i quit an application by tapping multiple time and quickly on the back key the TW will crash
Yeah it would be better if the folder closed before opening an app. I wonder how often Sammy update TW with fixes. I might move to another launcher cuz I can't have a blemish on this baby

i dont have this issue but i got this one as some others :/

Got the same issue mate.
Me to now and then

Same issue here, already tried to reduce Animation Duration Scale to 0.5. Will try to disable and see if it solves that crash.
I'd like to auto close folders either... This bug is getting really annoying.
Hey everyone,
I don't even use My Magazine but it stops responding all the time. Like 3 or 4 times a day. And everything freezes for a few seconds every time it does.
Anyone else hear of this / know of a solution? A friend told me it's a known issue with using the Nova launcher, but I was just searching for this known issue and I can't find a thread about it anywhere.
yes me too I thought it happened after I tried to unintelligible it and other bloat with titanium nd things started force closing so I restored them....wither way though same happens to me

well at least i'm not alone haha. i haven't done anything to try to disable or hide it. i'm not even rooted or anything yet. i just haven't used it since the day i got the phone 2 weeks ago and yet since the past 3 or 4 days it's been popping up not responding at random.
i just started suffering from this problem and i can't fix it. My Magazine freezes and crashes when i'm not even using it and it does this very often. This makes the phone lock up for a couple seconds. Very annoying.

Ditto, I believe it's happening to all note 3s, I remember reading about this same issue weeks ago when I first got my phone

Go to setting - General - Application manager - all - find my magazine - clear data and cache - force stop - restart your phone. This is how I fixed it. I hope it helps you.
Ps: this fixed the crashing issue but it's still very laggy at first start then is good.

Blaster - did what you mentioned, but next day came back! I hope they do an update soon to fix this! It sucks they force this app on us and it is not stable.

On official 4.4.2 and im not getting screen rotation?? On OG kernel, but custom rom. Is this the rom, kernel, or did I break it somehow?

I noticed the same thing happening to me , but I think is exposed framework , are you using that? I flashed a romantic a my rotation works once I install exposed then it breaks .

I think it's kitkat. i'm on stock rooted with the stock kernel i posted but still no rotation on the homescreen, but works on everything else.
Yea I'm trying. It's being stupid

I didn't know stock Touchwiz allowed landscape rotation without tweaks. Of course, that's usually one of the first thing I dump in favor of Nova or Apex anyway.
Yeah. Never heard of TW rotating on its own. There should be a mod and if don't work. It don't work. Having rotation on TW launcher suckss anyways

Wait... Are we talking rotation on the homescreen with no apps open? TouchWiz never did that. At least not stock out of the box. If were talking within apps then yes, it should rotate, if you have it enabled in the settings. Otherwise it will stay in portrait (or landscape) at all times.

I am having the same issue with both the odin and flashable versions. It works for a while, but then stops working. Really annoying! I am not using the exposed framework or modules, purely stock. Are you removing any apps? That is the only thing I do, but nothing I know to be related.
I'm not sure if this is it, or my "fix" will help, but maybe when updating to KK the phone wasn't level, and the compass/gyroscope calibrated itself to be off center. I don't have any issues with rotation, but what I did when I updated was I opened Bubble Level, and noticed it wasn't "level", so I reset the calibrations for the entire phone, and then put it on a level surface, and re-calibrated it, and now when I open the app on a level surface it is spot on. Maybe give that a try. Here is the app I used.

It's funny because that app and the camera app rotate just fine, but nothing else does; not gallery, chrome or anything else I try that regularly rotates. It's definitely wanam or xposed, ran fine until I installed them.

I still have rotation issues. I found with youtube if you make it full screen it will automatically rotate, but you have to hold it all weird for it to stay in landscape lol.

I don't think is wanam or xposed. It must have something to do with an app that I am uninstalling with Titanium Backup. I am currently running Vision X N3 - Tmobile and have been doing some testing. If I uninstall my usual 60 apps that that include S Health and the related sensor app, my auto rotation will stop working. However, if i don't debloat then no issues. I have been running the bloated version for a day or so and rotation still works. I am going to try leaving S health and the related sensor app to see what happens. On 4.3 I would always remove both apps and never had an issue. Oh, and wanam and xposed are pre-installed on the rom. I don't use them, but they are pre-installed.
So, do you debloat, and if so; do you remove S health and its related sensor app?

Your fine ! Just that Kitkat is all the rage, so I assumed you were on that too.
Try this : Settings >>> Apps >>>>ALL... Find the settings running app. Then CLEAR CACHE. You cannot clear data though.
Hope it helps !
Also, Philz latest (I think 6.14 or 6.16) has some bugs. I would just flash a generic CWM. TWRP latest also is buggy.
Thanks Man I appreciate your help. I'm not so sure about the e980 and KitKat yet on ATT sounds pretty buggy so I'm still holding off.

Hey community, I need your help here pretty bad. I was running the aicp 7.0 release but ended up flashtooling back to bone stock. I am getting constant and random reboots. Sometimes it is a bootloop, sometimes it gets to the att logo, sometimes it makes it to my home screen, and sometimes I can actually use it for 10 or 15 minutes but it always fails and reboots. Is there anything I can try? I am totally stumped. I figured a tot file flash back to stock would have solved this but it didn't. It almost seems like a hardware failure but I have never dropped it, got it wet nothin. Another real odd deal is when I can't get it to come out of a loop, if I take the back cover off it will start up. I thought maybe it was the connection on the back cover so I put a piece of tape over it but it still does it, but even now it is working with the back cover off but randomly reboots. Its always like this, my signal drops to no bars with the red x and then freezes then reboots. Sometimes it's when I wake it up, and sometimes it's when I start a program. Can anyone please give me some hope?
Switched runtime to art.. After 2 reeboots this thing flies... Only small problem upon each reeboot it optimizes about 100 apps. Dont know how to fix it. But wow this phone got huge boost.
Anyone know how to fix optimizing apps?

I'd love to know that also. I tried ART once and the optimization thing turned me off so I switched back.

I tried Art when I had my rooted S3, it always updated the apps on a phone restart. I don't think anyone found a fix. Doesn't Lollipop run on Art? Maybe there is a fix.

Yep until L comes I would suspect it's this month just don't know the date but "ART" gives this phone huge boost..
Gonna give art a try now.
EDIT: Immediately went back. s health and mainly pandora doesn't work with it. Not to mention as you guys said, the optimization of apps after a reboot takes at least 10 minutes which is horrible. I didn't think it'd be thattt bad. I remember my moto x would only take a couple minutes. Guess just have to wait till Lollipop.

From what I've read ART on KitKat is experimental and not the same implementation as lollipop. I had it switched on here too and got some apps that didn't work so switched it back
