Which APN for tethering
I'm tethering right now on Validus via my router. Which of the T-Mobile APNs is preferred. I first tried the IPv6 LTE which didn't go so well. Switched to the IPv4 APN which is better but doesn't seem as smooth/fast as when I was using WiFi Tether Router on stock. What about the APN that uses epc.something. Would that be the preferred APN for tethering.
Validus really rocks, btw. Tested a lot of ROMs lately and this one suits me.
My baseband is displaying "Unknown"...have you seen this too?
On another note, I cannot reach the d851 hidden menu using 3845#*851# on the dialer.
I searched a lot and came up with little in terms of what causes not being able to reach the hidden menu.

Baseband is shown as unknown on most of these ROMs so nothing to worry about there.
I also can't reach the hidden menu. Neither with that number nor the other I've seen posted.
*#*#4636#*#* or something like that.

I've noticed there is a notifications display present in various roms, such as liquidsmooth, that have notifications come up as if they're running on an android 5.0 interface. Are those present in this rom?

thank you for this awesome ROM i have tried them all and this is by far the best and less battery draining Rom i have found i used to have to change battery twice a day at work and today running this ROM all day and never had to change battery till i got home thanks so much and keep them coming
Just curious, is this comment really for the KitKat version? There hasn't been a new version/build in months and no more will be coming.
It is an awesome ROM, though. Every once in awhile I restore my nandroid backup of it just to keep it current.

screen going blank
this is an awesome ROM but as of today it ran good until i started getting a call and the screen goes black and when i let the call go to missed the screen comes back to normal it does the same thing when i go to make a call also screen goes black and to end the call i have to pull the battery out.. rinky can you help out with this problem as to a fix or something other than this this is the best ROM i have tried

I love this rom so far, but the only thing it's missing is sound profiles. When are they gonna be added?
Most KitKat ROMs are not updated anymore. This is one of them so nothing will be added (AFAIK).

Switched over to Blissstalk from Beanstalk and i gotta say great work!
Been using Beanstalk in the past and I expericenced random lag times at very important times. Aswell as no Deep Sleep!
Blissstalk improved many elements from the original build that i enjoyed.

I cannot get viper4afx to work on tuneIn or any other player. The effect isnt processing. I dont have a clue how to make it work. I reeally like to use this rom but when viper4afx foesent work i am rather frustrated. Can amyone help me?

Try setting compatibility mode on instead of normal. Annnd... uninstall the driver and reinstall. Also try the force Viper option.
Can anyone give some feedback on what the battery life is like and how this ROM overall is in terms of stability? Would like to install as it looks really good but if it's not stable and bug-free enough to use as a daily device then I'm unfortunately gonna have to pass.

Battery life is all in how you use the phone. And your expectations of what good battery life is. Having said that i don't have any problems with battery life with this rom. Deep sleeps when it should, and runs great when i need it to.

As of right now it's just the e980 specifically as this is the device nerdy and i both own. But I believe you are ok to flash this on any e98x variant. But don't quote me on that. Maybe someone with a e988 can chime in here.

Thnx for the ROM, everything works fine (also the camera!). There's only one thing, sometimes my screen is flashing. Often it stops when i tap on the screen, sometimes is only a reboot a way out. Any suggestions?

The latest build (0211) fine but no data, but 2911 build has.
Anw, i'm in 2911 build, but i can't manage to get navigation bar and also the INFO button (the button in top left) work. My home button is already dead, in KK i've to edit keylayout in order to replace the Home button by the INFO button, but in LP i can't.

hello it is my first post on the forum, but when I follow, I wonder whether they improved the quality of the build m12 camera or if there is some way to improve switching app

I've been using CM11 since the first day I got this phone at July of this year. Only two issues that I've encountered, one is the battery usage, and second is the mobile service randomly dropping out. The battery usage has gotten a little better as of now, though not too much better. I'm not sure if it's the software bug on this Rom that's draining the battery, or the hardware spec itself that's doing it. Many people say the stock Rom doesn't drain the battery as fast as CM11, but other say that's b.s. Since I 've never used the stock Rom, so I don't know. The second issue with the mobile service randomly dropping out started back at beginning of October of this year. When I reboot my phone, the mobile service will not be able to connect, and the only way to fix it is to keep on rebooting until it reconnects. I looked around the forums then, and it seemed to be a problem for many people. Now the issue seemed to be fixed. I think now this Rom is nearly stable, which means CM12 is probably coming out soon.
WiFi Connection Issue in CM11 for LG Optimus G Pro E980

I purchased a refurbished LG E980 a while back. I issue I am getting is that whenever I flash CM11 on this device, my WiFi disconnects after sometime. I would have to reset the WiFi Region settings to United States in order for WiFi to work again. Is there any way to permanently select on region. This doesn't happen on stock ROM. Please guide.

I just uploaded a stable update into rom Manager. Get the app to get the download. If there's a need for it, I'll upload and share a link. I just know not everyone likes lollipop but we all love battery life. Feel free to Pm me for any issues that may arise.

No, no navbar. For that you have to install either pac - man rom or bliss-stalk. If you decide to install CM11, the latest version for this device is cm11 justlovejoy. It's not a nightly, the dev has it stable and good battery life. You will find it if you have the rom manager. Else look at another cm11 thread on the xda.

Now you can go with the stable battery friendly verison of CM lovejoy, If you have problems with your physical nav buttons I would personally install the app LMT you can find it by searching xda, Its a really good alternative, like slimpie with more customization. Also doesn't lag down the system at all. 16mb footprint in ram which is nothing for this phone.

Just have two issues, while browsing screen frezzes for about 5 seconds and then work again, tried with stock and chrome.

Rotation not working
Hello,
just switching to OptiPop, I noticed that the rotation sensors are not working at all. I am using the latest SlimGapps (20150526). Has anybody observed the same? Any suggestions for fixing this? Using other ROMs, eveything works as expected. And of course I did a clean flash.

Hi all,
Flashed the mentioned ROM to my Nexus 7, and all is working great apart from i am getting delayed visual notifications from my Gmail. I get sound instantly, but if the screen is on, i don't get a visual notification until the screen has gone off and on again.
Performed a clean installation and tried a couple of versions of Gapps thinking it could be related to that, but the same both each time. Has anyone else experienced this, or delayed visual notifications in general, not just Gmail?

Does HDR work on this ROM? I've tried quite a few ROM's on my N5 and in most the HDR in google camera was non-existent in the options menu.
Is this a bug?
I've been looking through settings, and I can't find how to disable heads up notifications. I also tried search and that didn't do any good. Is the option missing? Or am I just blind?

But i've got a feature request for you. Previously i saw this only in mod for stock and in one rom. I'm talking about linking nav bar and status bar colours feature. Idk how it will be practical, but looks nice.

I don't know if this post helps, but right after flashing Glitch kernel r320 I got the camera to work, so could it be that stock kernel has some issues?

I didnt found where to post it properly, so...
I found a bug in AOSP keyboard. When you try to change language, it force closes. Sometimes it closes when you open keyboard, sometimes it dont. I tried to use layers, completly same resoult. The ony modification i use is RRO Layers. Logcat present.
Hope you provide fix soon.

system ram only 250~300mb!!!! wow!!!
now i installed about 200+ of 3rd party apps, many of them can stay alive, and i can load them very fast whenever i want!
I want to install this ROM but I'm unable or perhaps unwilling to give up the ElementalX app that was pulled from play store. So here's my problem. After I install ROM I try and restore ElemX app via TiBu it says I didn't purchase it. I know this isn't a problem with the ROM but perhaps someone knows a workaround.

this rom overclocked by cpu at 1. 7 ghz, is it okay to overclock. and xposed 5. 1 unofficial isn't working. I flashed it but got bootlop...
I have too few posts to post in the main thread, but just wanted to say thank you for this ROM. Finally a fully stable, fast, and up-to-date ROM that has everything functioning and adds only the extras that I also consider essential such as AppOps/Privacy Guard and power menu.

The ONLY issue I've found on my Nexus 7-2013 seems related to the Franco Kernel and not your ROM exactly. The included kernel works with all Camera/USB-OTG/GPS/Wifi, but if you update to the latest R21 release with the Franco Updater app, it will cause the camera to be unable to connect.
I'm currently using the ElementalX-4 kernel instead and it seems fully compatible, and all devices including the Camera work.

Using it for few weeks and love it. Very stable, tried different layers and looks great. Thank you for a wonderful job and hope the updates will be coming, even though it's been discontinued

You actually don't need any app....go to settings menu....then Display....then LCD density....it is at 560 by default...simply click that and enter your number you want there .. stock is 640 ...hit ok and your device will soft reboot...I just changed mine to 640 and then back to 560...it works...

It has a theme engine! It's called RRO Layers, there's a link to the thread, it dosn't easy like applying a theme, but not so hard. There are some videos and gides and wth the new Layer Manager app it's very easy. I use it about two days (the RRO Theme Engine), and I can say it's better than the old theme engine!

No, it already has a theme engine... RRO layers. If you want the CM12 theme engine flash Validus our other ROM that is CM based. This ROM will never have the cm theme engine as it is Slim based....not CM based....
Tesla High Voltage ROM for LG G3 d855 - In-call + speaker sound query
Hello,
I would appreciate if the developer of the Tesla High Voltage ROM would reply to my query. I am a big fan of and involved in work relating to Nikola Tesla so it was a nice surprise to find a ROM in his name. By the time anyone reads this I would have tried the custom ROM and hope it works for me.
My main reason for this post is simply to know whether the developer has or will be planning in making a tweak relating to the overall sound volume of the G3's main speaker but most importantly, the in-call speaker mic. I've read of so many complaints from users of modern phones regarding the in-call sound not being loud enough ( not hearing the caller clearly or too low). It seems only a small number of custom ROM developers have taken an interest in making this a priority.

Thanks for letting me know. Am still waiting for my LG G3 to be delivered so I'll test it with Tesla ROM once I get it. I believe Validus don't have a ROM for the G3.

Thank you very much for this rom. It's so smooth and fast. Im using it on my d855 and battery life is really good and no batt drops. Cpu tenperature is really good compared to other roms
Just one question though, is there a way the wallpaper will not be scrollable on homescreen?
