[Discussion] Booting issues (experiences) - Xiaomi Redmi 1S

Please join here so we can try it ourselves
Frankly speaking i never seen a issue like this in my android life

In every custom rom for redmi 1s This issue is present
I tried CM, PA Mokee and found that in each rom when i switch off or reboot my phone then it stuck on mi logo screen . can any one running cm or pa wanna try switchoff there phone and again start and check whether this issue is there or not.:crying::crying:

I was facing this on Pac and Pa may be it was gapps problem or i kept the phone for 20 mins on mi logo still no luck then after removing battery and booting it,its booted correctly so u have to keep it 20 mins on mi logo then remove battery and restart. After that no reboot issue.

can't boot-URGENT

Ok, so I was running the latest cm10 nightly but then decided to switch to the latest renovate rom, i did a full wipe and then installed it, afterwards i flashed the boot.img file and proceeded to reboot as per usual but after 20 minutes nothing happened... still at the htc screen. I can boot into bootloader but whenever i try and reboot into recovery it won't let me, it just reboots. What can i do?

After flashing the boot.img via fastboot, do you have erase cache ? (fastboot erase cache)
Maybe try installing clockwork again on toolkit. Shouldn't be the issue but worth a pop

phone kaput after flashing?

/solved
;
;mostly human error all good
the story so far....
downloaded and installed stock 4.4.4
rooted, backed up TA, unlocked boot loaders, flashed philz touch
downloaded latest aokp 17/07 build and latest gapps, go to twrr, wiped and flashed, wipe cache to be clean, reboot system....
and now it is bricked, screen dead, power button only get a single vibrate every few seconds if held, red reset does nothing, only response i get from the phone is if usb plugged in and volume up is held i get the blue led.
really unsure what to do from here besides cry, hoping someone can help and save my little expensive paperweight, will donate $20 to anyone that saves my ass.
last option before throwing it can a service center fix this or is she a goner?
with fastboot, flash the boot.img of the aokp .zip file (place it in the same folder of fastboot.exe)
and enter this code
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot reboot
now i just need the aokp screen to get past the boot logo animation

yep did a fresh factory reset, formatted sdcard, looks like it is on the fast track to health now, will report back in a few minutes or go 'pstone skipping'
Ok after unlocking bootloader, did u boot up to system once? Or simply flashed philz recovery and flashed aokp without booting into system?

Am not using dual boot, it's just that every time I install a new rom, I have to wait like for a month before I could turn it off without having a boot loop every time I boot it up again

Try flashing fastboot ROM
If it is in bootloop u can take a logcat via adb
It can narrow down the problem
As as9333 says fast boot ROM is only solution for you query...!!!
Thanks very much guys but installing official v45 miui via fast boot do the trick? And I would like to know what might have caused this problem? Maybe I rooted it wrongly?
Use TWRP instead of CWM

[Solved]Recovery mode error in A1 running marshmallow

I myself faced this and if I am not wrong you are also facing this problem.
After upgrading A1 to marshmallow you will see there is no recovery mode in your device, when you start your recovery mode only there is dead Android boot animation.
Though u have tried many times to flash recovery like CWM But all in vain.
I have a solution for them,
After flashing the recovery.img file don't type reboot command just use the following command
 fastboot boot recovery.img
It will bring you on recovery screen ,then install your desired Zip.
Every time you need recovery mode just connect it to pc in fastboot mode and type that command to your recovery mode.

When you see android bot logo, you are in recovery mode. But recovery menu options are hidden.
After you see the dead bot logo, hold power up for 5 seconds and then hit vol up (or hold both for 5 seconds) All recovery options will be visible after this.
Its a bad idea to use a pc every time you want to boot into recovery LOL
Hi guyz can anyone provide me stock recovery.img of build no. MOB30N PLZZ

Phone Won't Boot or Enter Recovery

Phone is a ginko variant Redmi Note 8, running the PixelOs rom.
It's been running fine for about 2 months now without issue until today.
This morning after using it briefly, it was placed in my pocket. About an hour later I removed it to find the screen black but lit up.
Power cycling the phone resulted in it getting to the boot screen (Google logo with loading bar) where it sits indefinitely. The bar at the bottom is animated, so it's not frozen per say.
If I try to reboot to recover(OrangeFox) it shows the Orange booting screen, and sits there.
I have tried flashing several other orangefox recovery's as well as 2 different TWRP recoveries with the same result, they display the startup screen and then hang there.
Any suggestions?

Bro I am afraid you'll have to install the whole firmware again and it will boot into MIUI. You need to flash it with the help of Mi Flash and be in the Fastboot mode and also it will erase all the data. and then you can install the custom recovery again and after installing MIUI and you can flash another ROM. Some AOSP Android 12 ROMs have this bug.

Managed to get it going again. I used fastboot to format the userdata partition and that seemed to fix it.
Interesting that some AOSP roms have this bug...I will have to do some research to avoid this in the future.
