Hi guys! I've been searching around for a while and I might just be bad on googling but I did'nt find anything about this.
I bought a LG G3 one week ago and started using it without SIM-card, and now when I put in my sim-card everything disappeared from the phone and there is just the apps that were there from the beginning, do anything know what to do? I looked around a bit i account settings but i'm not getting any smarter.. Thanks for answering this beginner-question.

Hi guys,
I've been having problems with the way my desire works on my gmail account. first of all, the marketplace is unreachable 75% of the time on my phone (with 3g or H). My phone will most of the time not shut down (it just hangs at the message "shutting down"). Finally it took a night for the phone to download my 800 contacts in my google account.
It is very annoying and i've been researching the problem. I've tried rebooting or returing phone to factory settings but nothing seems to help. It is important to mention that i have a steady internet connection so i can get on the internet without any problems, only when i go to sites like "www.android.com/market" the phone is not able to load the page.
Does anyone else have this problem? and i would really like some help with this.
Thanks
I've been having the same troubles for a couple of days now. Are you on T-Mobile Netherlands by any chance?
Yes I am,
I've also been searching the t-mobile netherlands forum, and tweakers.net. Both of them have a topic about this problem. Yay for stupid t-mobile.
Hi all,
have had my Desire for a couple of months now, well pleased with it. I have not in any way modified it other than installed some apps from market. This afternoon after lunch while it was in my Brodit car holder I suddenly noticed it was asking for PIN code. Entered it, fine. But then a couple of minutes later, same thing again. And again.
Just now I was typing an SMS to somebody and just before finishing screen blanks out, then the screen asking for PIN comes up.
What the heck?
Anybody who has had similar problems and knows what causes/caused them?
I haven't had the battery or sim card out or anything, it just suddenly started doing this.
Cheers

*edit*
I have tested switching off the phone, removing battery for a couple of mins then reinserting and rebooting, but same problem persists.
Wonderful, we're going on holidays in 2 days.... :'(
Well I couldn't for the life of me figure out what the problem was, tested with another SIM but same. Completely random, sometimes it would last half an hour sometimes not even a minute.
Did a clear storage/hard reset and after that all seems fine. Except for that my conversations were still there, but somehow if I get an sms from somebody now it's added to the wrong conversation. Then if I reply to it, it goes to the person in the conversation, not the person who sent the msg
Deleted all msgs now so should be sorted. Think a problem with all contacts syncing to and from Microsoft Outlook, it messed up all phone numbers like this:
46 2342423423
so no + and a space between country code and phone number. ANnoying as heck but haven't figured out if there's a setting in outlook or htc sync to solve this.

What ROM/Radio is it running?? is it unbranded??
I have no idea. Bought from Komplett here in Sweden, i.e. unbranded and unlocked. It's running what it came with since there haven't been any updates and I haven't the balls to start experimenting about with it
Strange, I just picked up my Desire today. I rooted it this evening and only noticed it happening after rooting it. I didn't run it for very long unrooted though, so I don't know if it's related. I wonder what's causing it.
maybe this helps:

Thanks but it goes to SIM lock rather than phone lock... like when you first switch on your phone. The phone doesn't reboot though, it just asks for the SIM pin all of a sudden, even when you're doing something on it.

i also had this problem (well more or less) for me it happened when my cellphone signal dropped to limited service (or no services at all) after the phone picks up a signal again its asks for a pin. you mind want to check this out aswell. i fixed this by going into the settings and fiddling around with network/mobile operator settings and such, soz i cant remember exactly, but this did the trick for me.
hope it helps.
I was going to take it back to the shop when I thought I'd try a different ROM first. I installed the OpenDesire 3.0.1 Froyo ROM last night and so far it hasn't done it yet. Maybe the official Froyo ROM won't have that problem either.
Tester app
Hi
I've been having the same problem on my X10 Mini Pro for the last couple of days. To try and figure out what's causing this I've made a small app that checks the sim-status periodically. If it's not available or a pin-code is required for unlocking it the phone starts vibrating plus default notification-sound.
If you're fast you can check your device's LogCat with aLogCat (available from market). At least you'll get notified that you're unreachable
Since I have no Market-account yet you have to upload it to your phone manually with adb. Search google for a howto.
See attached file.
Hi!
Do you have Exchange 2010 sync?
Hi have the same porblem with LG Optimus 2x.
Tom.
Guys, I am having this problem of random rebooting. I first thought it was random but then noticed that whatever ROM I use, this reboot happens when network signal is lost.
Now i read every thread and discussion google could give me on this problem but cant seem to figure out how this happens. I wanted to substantiate my find, hence ran logcat for few hours. Now i cant seem to understand what it means.
Can anyone please take a look at the attached text file or reason out how and why this happens. Is there a pattern I am missing?. All i notice is that my phone vibrates in my pocket after an hour when it is preparing the SD card after a reboot. Thats it
Thanks in advance.

OK I found that defy is rebooting on no network and I was able to replicate the same situation. Is there any fix to this issue. Can anyone look into the code and tell me a tweak where the phone reboots because there is very less or no signal. It happens even if phone is kept in 2G/3G/Automatic.
Here is similar thread in motorola support forums
https://supportforums.motorola.com/thread/40973?start=0&tstart=5
Have noticed posts about this -- and in fact it's not restricted to Defy by any means, though overall not that common. Even the Nokia N8 forums occasionally mention the problem. The most successful cure seems to be swapping out the SIM. This does not appear to work for everyone, but generally people are so imprecise on forums it's really hard to know if they just pulled a SIM from another phone (so, being as old or even older than the one they were using), or used a new one. So, if you have not already, I would get a new SIM, "approved" by your carrier and try it. Otherwise I would return the phone.
Thanks mate. Yes I read a lot about sim being changed but no where did I see it being solved. I have spoken to motorola support and plan to send it next week. Anyway I will change the type of sim once to see if it makes a difference. I hate my phone being ripped open here because I have very less confidence in these authorised centres who deal with every damn phone.
Thanks again.
Hello everyone,
I've been searching the web high and low about an issue I'm having. This past Saturday I lost signal and I cannot understand why. It was working fine that morning as I had received a call at 10:30. About an hour later, I checked to see if I had any msg's, etc, and I noticed I had no signal. I checked my IMEI and it's /00 and that is it. 1. I'm wondering how can a phone simply just lose its IMEI in such a way. It wasn't dropped or anything. Actially it was laying on my bed when this occured. I've had marshmellow on it for close to a month with zero issues. 2. Is it possible to resolve this?? Every method I have found I have tried and yet, the IMEI, or lack there of is still stating /00. I've reverted it back to stock to no avail, and just this morning RErooted it and still nothing. It does show bars and if I move from place to place, it will go to like 3 bars, or 2 bars or back to all bars as though the phone knows the sim card is there, but no data connection nor can I make calls. I also got a new sim card thinking my old card went bad, but I'm getting the same issue. Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all!
I apologize ahead of time in case there is a thread already that relates to this issue, and if there is I haven't found it yet.
