To anyone who flashed this, can you do the following immediately after installation?
1) Let the rom be installed and after setting up everything that it may be required from you (your google account?), wait for a while and then reboot the tablet.
2) Once the reboot is completed go to Settings-> Apps and from there navigate to the "Running" TAB. Once there please report the "USED" amount (it would be like "700MB used", or sth like this).
Thanks.

Latest update: 11082014 2.30pm EST
Thank you bonuzzz and Valera1978. This OmniROM directly built from source is out of the box the smoothest and reactive ROM I've seen on the T-900. I have been fortunate to run this version in alpha and beta over the past 4 or 5 days and I have not seen any extraordinary issues with the release.
Note for v.2 - Be very patient in flashing v2, from that system format starts in TWRP until extraction kicks in there's currently a delay of up to 3 minutes
Just as under the SM-P900 cm11 tread, I have performed some functionality testing of the device and some extra features, they are shown below as working, not working or not tested. The functionality grid was developed based on weaknesses in earlier AOSP builds and ports for the large format Samsung Tab/Note Pro family:
- mtp - to activate go to Settings/About tablet/ and tap 8 times on Build number - The menu will now have Settings/{ } Developer options/ activated. Check mark USB debugging notify.
- adb
- External SD - working out of the box
- Ext4 SD card mounting on external SD - Auto-mount does not work, tested on Sandisk 128Gb SD
- USB OTG including USB storage
- Off-mode charging
- Encryption tested on backup restore in TWRP 2.8.1.1 restore failed in data, but must be related to a TWRP error Encryption process in ROM takes about an hour to perform, if someone is interested in performing the test and report back it would be great, but theoretically it should work.
-----------------------------------------
- Lid sensor
- IR blaster - worked by using IR 2.0
- OC settings - located in Settings/Performance/ if you click the 3 dots in upper right corner you can chose a toggle, or a drawer mode where a multitude of performance settings and information is available, most of them are currently not used.
- Advanced reboot - to activate go to Settings/About tablet/ and tap 8 times on Build number - The menu will now have Settings/{ } Developer options/. Check mark Advanced reboot.
- Screen rotation specific issue with T-900
-----------------------------------------
- Play Store
- Google Play movies download and playback
- Google Play streaming Movies & TV
- DRM - tested with Audible, Google Books and Amazon Kindle
-----------------------------------------
- Zona
- Popcorn Time - need upgrade to latest version 2.3 beta, includes built-in VPN and Chromecast support with subtitles, earlier version timed out
- YouTube 1080p playback - 1440p will work w. v5.9.0.12, but I believe this to be a false positive.
- Netflix
-----------------------------------------
- Chromecast with #MirrorEnabler hack, allowing for screen cast
- MHL connector
- Miracast
-----------------------------------------
- Capacitive lights - I assume this is the backlights for the capacitive buttons
- Capacitive keys
- Home button - correct function performed
- Brightness manual + auto
- Vibrator
- S-Pen according to OP only available on P-900
-----------------------------------------
- GPS lock and voice directed navigation
- WiFi both 2.4 GHz & 5 GHz are working
- Bluetooth
- Microphone
- Audio on both speakers
- Headphones
-----------------------------------------
- Camera - in progress; the camera "works", but does not allow for single shots to be taken, and crashes in video mode, but panorama shots are working
- Torch as of v2
- Camera Sensors as of v2
-----------------------------------------
- Xposed Framework and modules - need re-initialization after each boot (common to all AOSP ROM's)
- Superuser - installation of latest flashable version SuperSU through TWRP is recommended - make sure to enter into SuperSU settings and execute "Install SuperSU backup script" under the CUSTOM ROM label before re-flashing a ROM update.
- Hangouts Dialer phone calls via Hangouts
-----------------------------------------
The following are standard limitations and options for OmniROM:
Write access to your external SD-card works out of the box, but just in case i suggest to d/l JRummy's SD KitKat Fixer
init.d support also works out of the box, otherwise d/l Uni-init by Ryuinferno.
If you think to much heat is building up use Performance/Governor set to ondemand, or conservative and I/O Schedduler to bfq, in addition to increase battery time you can set Wi-Fi/Advanced/Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep/ to Only when plugged in and make sure the Wi-Fi/Advanced/Wi-Fi optimization/ is checked and reduce Display/Sleep/ to below 1 minute. You can also use some apps to improve battery eg Easy Battery Saver, or the more sophisticated AutoCon+ Save Battery & Data and and to put hanging apps to hibernation Greenify that I believe require Xposed Installer. To improve charging time, you can use an app eg Faster Charger. Finally, I have also used PurePerformances in order to further improve the performances and VIPER4AndroidFX to allow for louder speaker sound and enhanced listening experience.

1.1Gb RAM used, but I'm running MultiROM, besides that I had only installed SuperSU and Pico gapps, I have exactly the same usage displayed with cm11.

IR port is working. Tested with smart ir
flip cover is working also
I dont understand issue with screen rotation

The screen doesn't automatically rotate when turning the device, although I have automatic rotation enabled in System/Display/ with values 0/90/180/270. However, with some apps a forced rotation arrive that turn the screen from landscape to portrait, after this the screen stay in portrait until another app trigger a turn to landscape. Anyway, blocking the screen in landscape, or in portrait with the apps I mentioned in my post works perfectly well, but it's a forced rotation, not automatic. It could be device specific? - note issue only concern T-900, not P900/901
I retested IR and Lid and they worked when flashing the ROM with TWRP 8.2.1.1. This was either a glitch, or the fact that I flashed in MultiROM.

download please z-device test https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=zausan.zdevicetest and send me screenshot of his report
multirom in current state uses kernel from primary rom in additional roms. Concerning screen rotation, I think it is specific for t900 and I'll solve it in next release.

That kernel use can explain some of the oddities I've experienced.
On the T-900 I had the screen rotation issues as well, along with other users, so I believe it's a T900 issue. It works with stock ROM though. Also, I just forwarded some screen shots.

Hey guys thanks for yet an other custom rom you sure have been working hard! I did some reading about this omnirom and i conclude imo it is prefereable to cyan, is valeria working only on omni now i noticed she released a new cm. Thanks again looking forward to next release.

Hi friends, I wanted to thank you for bringing OmniRom to the Note Pro 12.2.
I will be sure to install it this coming weekend when I have some time
I'm currently on CM and it's very nice, but I like the idea of Omni being truly open source.
Your efforts are greatly appreciated.

Ok I was excited when OmniROM was originally announced but honestly that was mostly because of the multi window stuff the is now available via Xposed. How is Omni better than CM? I have to say I have the CM build on my tablet and it's exceptional, can't believe it's this good when the Note 12.2 just recently become supported. Is Omni really noticeably faster/smoother?

My experience running the beta release that even at this stage it is already faster and smoother than cm-11. Try it and and you can tell directly by the screen transitions, and this is just the beginning. But the reason for OmniROM is more flexibility, it's a true AOSP ROM, meaning there's a lot more flexibility in deploying the code, than under cm that start loosing its freedom in development under a corporate flag. Besides, Omni is already better prepared for this, you can see this in it's deployment of the OmniSwitch as well as other features, eg. under the performance tab, where OC, undervoltage and other settings, and there is more...
However, the best way is to try it out and judge for your self.
On the other hand, if you really want to read up about it, check out this article

I don't believe it is implemented. But, the split view feature in the video exist as the xposed module: XMultiWindow. This was Omin's first release of the multi-window feature, and the development is still ongoing for a more feature packed floating window solution. See for example this concept idea.

About OmniROM
The goal of Omni is to experiment with Android development because we enjoy it. Omni isn’t better, just different. It’s another option for the billion Android users out there. Android (vs. iOS and every other mobile OS) has thrived on options as well as the gigantic, talented development community that has emerged to build those options. That’s the beauty of Android – that you can pick and choose from a smorgasbord of devices with varying features and functionality.
Omni is a chance to get involved, no matter who you are. Developers, whether you’ve been developing apps for a week, or ROM features for 3 years, you’re welcome. Users, we know you want to help out, and now you can – Omni actively encourages bug reports and feature requests, which can be added to our publicly accessible roadmap. What’s the point in giving you a ROM, and forcing you to not tell us about any bugs you find?
We also recognise how people use Custom ROMs – we’re all custom ROM users and developers ourselves – the argument that “nightlies are not for end users” is over-used, and no longer valid. We’ve found that the vast majority of users want to get nightly updates to their ROM. For that reason, nightlies aren’t a playground – nightlies are for new features that are finished. You should be able to expect the same stability and reliability from a nightly as you would from a “release” ROM, and can report any bugs that prevent this from happening.
We know not everyone wants to update their ROM daily, and you are free to update as frequently or infrequently as you like. Omni is about flexibility and giving users what they expect – and we are excited to see where the community goes with it.

How to report a bug
Use the search function, if the bug has already been reported and I or another person has answered do NOT report it again. I'm tired of writing ten times the same thing.
A bug report function is embedded in XDA forum look at the top there's a section called "Bug Reports". Use it
Provide a logcat and/or dmesg. Search on XDA if you don't know how to get a proper log
Always provide which model you are using and other information that you think could be useful to solve the bug
Downloads:
This is an early preview with lots of bugs and not usable as a daily driver. You have been warned. Flash this only if you are sure about what are you doing.
Download folder: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=21696
Starting from 20150506 I'm uploading automated builds: this means that they should be treated as nigthlies (I won't create a new one every 24 hours though). All the new files will be placed in the "Download folder" automatically, so, if no new changes from my part, I will NOT update the changelog. These builds will include all the updates and commits from official Omnirom repos plus my commits not yet merged for our tablets. Good luck

Hey marco,
For graphics glitch when rotating you need:
https://github.com/CyanogenMod/andr...mmit/540345f70db4f0cea6ad3f1150d2cb2fac18da25
https://github.com/CyanogenMod/andr...mmit/4e7f61fd6a36345e7994c236d1c128c4c8a6a0ea
https://github.com/CyanogenMod/andr...mmit/db4cec0e189b84e5999ae5b3bef0e7a6c2bb3087
you can probably find those in 4.4 omnirom branch as well.
Then it should be fixed

I'm in the same boat as you, stuck with the leaked N8000 bootloader on my N8010, and youtube works great for me on last CM 11 build.
Nice work Marco!!
I've flashed your build (while building mine... ) and I've noticed that the keyboard doesn't show up, I had to go to Settings>Language & input>Current Keyboard and switch on the Hardware flag to make the keyboard appear.
Youtube works fine (audio and video)
I've played a couple of mp4 videos with a default gallery without a problem
Music plays fine with Apollo
It seem very good for such an early build...If only the log in with Google Account worked...:fingers-crossed:
Sooo nice rom only network works on N8000 and it will be my rom
- There is a problem with the default browser as it closes after opening on few seconds
- Graphics errors at multi tasks cards.

I usually use chrome. Default browser should be "deprecated" and replaced by chrome. Graphical errors are still there (during switching off screen, rotation, taking screenshots and so on), lirokoa pointed some commits I'll try with them, but they should do the job. RIL is a priority for me too, but it's quite complex and the code changed a lot so I'll need some time to merge that part.

For RIL, many things are needed and I can't test since I have N8013, but I can point you to some to a repo that might help you:
https://github.com/ArchiDroid/android_frameworks_opt_telephony/commits/cm-12.0
Looks to all SamsungExynos4RIL / Samsung STK commits. That should help.

I'll give it a try because when I tried to merge RIL from omnirom 4.4 I've got an enormous amount of conflicts. Thanks maybe them will speed up the fix

I've written quite big in the third post that you need to flash supersu beta just after the rom or you won't be able to boot into recovery: you've been warned. I'm working on merging the fixes for graphics issues.
By the way I've fixed the stylus input which is working ok now. New version soon....
New version 20141125 out
I've just uploaded a new build. See OP for download links and second post for changelog. Before signaling a bug or something that isn't working, please read the third post, too.
Another bug I've found is in charging off script, please recharge your tablet while on until next release
On my n8013, every time I flash the ROM, then gapps, then superSU, I get a boot loop, never makes it to Omni logo. I tried to redownload all files from the OP, and still no luck. Tried 4 times now

[ROM] [5.1.1] [EXT4/F2FS] [12/23/2015] UNOFFICIAL CyanogenMod 12.1 [DDK 1.8]

UNOFFICIAL CyanogenMod 12.1 for the Verizon Samsung Galaxy Nexus
Introduction
I first decided to put together this Lollipop ROM using the old graphics drivers for those of us who wished to try Lollipop, but needed full camera functionality (i.e. barcode scanner apps, or any other app that uses the camera API). At this point, it looks as if the camera has been fixed to work with the newer GPU drivers. I will continue to develop this ROM using the older drivers until all of the major kinks are worked out (both DDK and non-graphics related included) and we have a 100 percent stable release. You are welcome to try my build which does offer some unique features and will continue to be improved upon and synchronized with the CyanogenMod sources.
Please note that you can NOT use any other kernels with this ROM!! I have added a number of additional features to the kernel including custom voltage, fast charge, and color adjustment so hopefully that will satisfy enough for the time being.
I welcome any and all feedback, including bug reports and feature requests. The Galaxy Nexus is my main phone, and this ROM has been stable enough to be my daily driver since I began developing it several weeks ago.

Instructions
First flash:
Unlock & install a recovery
Wipe data & cache partitions
Flash CM-12.1
Install the Google Apps package
Reboot
Upgrade:
Make a backup in recovery
Flash CM-12.1
Install the Google Apps package
Reboot
If you are using F2FS, boot will hang for a bit longer on the Google Logo before animation starts.
Initial boot will take longer than it does with other 5.1 ROMS because this ROM is deodexed. My main reason for doing it this way is so that I can make modifications to individual framework files without having to flash the entire /system partition. The downside is that the initial boot after a wipe of the dalvik-cache will take marginally longer because it has to rebuild the caches for all of the system apps. If you do this while you still have a full compliment of user apps installed - i.e. after an upgrade, the boot sequence could take a REALLY long time - so be prepared for that. Personally, I feel that this is a small enough inconvenience and the benefits outweigh the drawbacks.

Disclaimer
I'm not responsible for bricked devices (honestly, has anyone actually ever bricked a GNexus?), data loss, lack of rhythm and coordination. Please remember to ALWAYS make backups before you flash and if you are changing filesystems on /data, you will lose ALL DATA which includes everything on internal storage and the recovery will NOT give you any warning before it performs this highly destructive act, so just be aware! Thanks and enjoy!

THANK YOU!! trying now!
Maybe I just rang in the New Year a little too hard, but I am having trouble figuring out where the download link is?
zzpianoman knows what's up! Rom's running great, plus love the recommended apps. Data, camera, adb wireless working well. I'm able to load touch control modules, but I couldn't get "ponury stock modified" to work, causes reboot. I'll try some other ones.

Hmm. Just to verify, I am using TouchControl v2.2.1. I know the rebooting issue was a problem with an earlier version.
Is data working on this ROM?
I was on unofficial LS and did not have working data. I did a complete wipe (except for internal) and flashed this ROM with the latest nano gapps.
I do not have working data on this ROM. I had some SIM card errors on LS and I'm now wondering if I have a problem with the SIM card now!? Before I try going back to a factory image, do you have any ideas?
Otherwise the ROM runs great! Thanks for getting the camera working!!

Data should be working. I have found that sometimes after an initial boot (long boot where caches are rebuilt) data will not connect until I switch into and out of airplane mode but subsequent boots should be fine. There has been a longstanding issue with CyanogenMod ROMS on the Verizon Galaxy Nexus circa Android 4.3 and not being able to get data after switching out of airplane mode. I wrote a script that essentially monitors the airplane mode switch, and gracefully kills the phone process after you switch out of it so that data will reconnect. Just make sure you wait at least a second or two before switching out of airplane mode to make sure the script has time to register the toggle.
Hopefully there will be a more graceful solution in the future, but this seems to work well for the time being.
No Data
I haven't gotten data to work at all. Wiped data and cache, then installed the ROM and Micro GApps. I've tried rebooting, then putting in Airplane Mode then taking it off. According to the phone, there has been no data consumed at all.
Love the fact that the camera works, though. Great stuff.

Have you tried toggling between 3G and LTE under mobile network settings? I remember I was having an issue early on where I would only get a data connection if I first connected via 3G and then switched over to LTE. I thought I had resolved this, because my data is working fine now as I am able to get LTE without having to connect first to 3G. Give that a try and see what happens.

Try this: set the preferred network type to 3G/CDMA then switch on airplane mode. Wait 5 seconds. Switch off airplane mode and see if you get a 3G connection.

AHHH!! I figured it out!!!! I goofed and accidentally included CyanogenMod apns-conf.xml instead of the correct one for L. The reason it worked on my build is because I flashed without doing a full wipe. So sorry! I'll fix this and upload a new build TODAY!!
Nice! Extremely grateful. Thanks for the work. Loving how smooth the ROM is.

Thanks for figuring it out and also getting the camera working!! Your hard work is greatly appreciated!! Now I can send my buddy Chuck some *****SLAPchats since snapchat is now working!

Awesome. Yeah, I actually had the right APN's all along but then I decided to re-sync the vendor repo for Cyanogenmod, and simply forgot that I had replaced the APNs several weeks ago when I started this whole thing. I didn't catch it because I flashed this build without doing a full wipe, so my old APNs had already been registered.
Nice... sticking with this ROM. Can't wait for the workaround to get MMS working for other messengers other than verizons.

[Rom] Updated February 9: AOSP Jaguar Honami OFFICIAL-HYPERTOOL 5.4

This is the Official Jaguar rom for Honami, which is based on AOSP with some flavors from Slim and Dirtyunicorn. The main difference from other roms is the emphasis on security and multiple features. With that in mind , let's see what Jaguar has to offer:
1. Hardened Kernel, modified M5 built with UBERTC 6.0; hardened rom built with HYPERTOOL 5.4
2. CPU overclocked to 2572 and GPU to 600
3. All ciphers enabled in kernel instead of just a few
4. Hardened/Fortified Bionic and Libs
5. Fstack protection strong to resist buffer overflows
6. Many System apps and processes are made read-only, to reduce elevation of privilege
7. Selinux replaced with Tomoyo and Yam security
8. Disc encryption, keymaster to 256 bit AES instead of 128
9. Latest TWRP with working brightness and ability to decrypt Data
10. Random number generation mixed hardware/software, as recommended by Linus Torwalds
11. Options to randomize host on every boot
12. Option to have a separate password for lock screen and boot
13. Qualcomm's Time Services disabled due to leaking on early boot. Instead, Timekeep is ported from Nougat (time set locally without Internet or GSM signal)
14. WIFI Background Scanning disabled to prevent leaking
15. Internet disabled for both WIFI and Data until Afwall is set and activiated (Afwall included in download, install as regular app)
16. The phone is VOLTE ready and you have all network options available in Cell menu (not just LTE/WCDMA/GSM)
17. GRsecurity features, such as Sidechannel implemented
18. Some Pax Security Features
19. Option to deny USB connection: denied always; denied when locked; and allowed always
20. Hardened webview with Google and other "interesting" IPs removed
21. Prevention of bruteforcing screen pin: the phone will reboot upon 3 unsuccessful attempts
22. Perfect_Event_Paranoid ported from Grsecurity: now third party apps can't use other apps including system to elevate privileges
23. Camera hardware button works to focus, take pictures and start video recording
24. Option to disable writing to Tombstones (a lot of private info is dumped there if there is a crash)
25. Option to disable continuing writing of logcat
26. Option to disable device cameras: back; front, both or none
27. Always latest Google Security Patches
28. Always latest Code Aurora Security Patches
29. Changes ported directly from Google Android Gerrit, so most of those in MM and even N are in this rom
30. About 80% of kernel changes are ported into Jaguar kernel from 3.10 and 3.18 (not Sony AOSP 3.10, but Linux/Google/Code Aurora one)
31. Rom is odexed to significantly increase boot speed (under 30 seconds) and application start
32. Many more security features ported from Linux and Copperhead OS
33. Sony Timekeep
34. DNS Encryption, as well as the choice of multiple DNS providers
Other features include: Stereo Sound; Layers Theme Engine; Native Call Recording with interface integrated in Dialer with no restrictions; Privacy Guard; Native Wakelock Blocker; Native Black List; Global Menu; Slim Recents; Traffic Indicators; Advanced Reboot; Slim Pie; CPU Info on Screen; Ram Bar in Recents; Open source Superuser included and integrated in Settings; True Offline Charging with Screen Off; Kernel Adiutor included (unzip and install as a normal app) and integrated in Settings; FM Radio and Recording plus more
Things users need to know to have smooth experience:. These are not bugs, but rather an explanation of some features
1. If you want to do data encryption, keep in mind that unlike Android, Jaguar uses 256 bit encryption. If you were encrypted on other roms, you won't be able to decrypt. So, wipe encryption and then re-encrypt on Jaguar. Also, keep in mind that if you ever did factory reset on official TWRP 3+ for honami, your data partition is screwed and have to be resized to enable encryption. This has nothing to do with the rom, but rather with the official TWRP itself. Fastboot my unofficial TWRP 3.0.2, which, by the way has working brightness, as well as ability to decrypt and mount data
2. Jaguar contains a script running on early boot, which cuts the internet access to both WIFI and Data until Afwall is running. This is done to prevent leaking, as well as having all your internet traffic routed through some interesting number of servers, including this IP: 26.147.196.22. So, install Afwall and activate it, otherwise, no Internet for you
3. If your system language is different from English and you want to make changes in Phone/Cell Network settings, switch to English first, make the changes and then return to your language. The changes you made will hold. If you try to make the changes in your language, you will have com.android.phone crash. Localization takes time and is virtually impossible to implement in Jaguar, which is a one-person-rom
4. Qcom Time Services daemon is disabled to prevent leaking. That means that you have to set Time/Zone to automatic to get it directly from your carrier. Otherwise, you won't have the correct time on reboot. Forget it. Sony TimeKeep is now setting the correct time on reboot and without the Internet, even in Airplane mode
5. Dnscrypt: in Settings/Security you have a new feature allowing the use of different dns providers (all encrypted), instead of your provider's default one. In Afwall, you must allow access to 'apps running as root'. Otherwise, no internet
6. Supersu is no longer bundled with the rom. Activate Developer settings and enable builtin root there. Open source Superuser is now included. Activate root choices within the app
7. If you use Gapps, they must be flashed right after the rom and before reboot. If you reboot even once, you will have multiple Gapps f/c due to incorrect permissions
Download: All updates and change logs are in Post #3 now
Instructions:
YOU MUST HAVE LATEST STOCK LP 5.1.1 FLASHED ONCE ON YOUR DEVICE. Otherwise, you may experience hardware (mainly Gps problems). If after the official LP 5.1.1, you downgraded to any other official stock version, you must reflash stock LP 5.1.1
1. Have TWRP (fastboot my unofficial version), unlocked bootloader and root.
2. In TWRP, wipe data/factory reset, then wipe System/Data/Cache/Dalvik
3. Flash the rom
4. If you use xposed, flash the latest installer. Xposed no longer works and will never work with roms that incorporate Nougat security features. Xposed used a security hole that was closed by Google. Bye bye Xposed...
5. If you want Gapps, flash them before any reboot. Otherwise, you will have multiple problems due to permissions.
6. Reboot, install Afwall and Kernel Adiutor as normal apps; activate Afwall to have Internet
7. Enjoy the rom, say thank you, donate or do both
Warning: If your device and/or anyone in the immediate vicinity dies, don't blame me: it is all China and Russia's fault.

Update on Further developemnt
February 16. I broke my Z1 screen again and I am not in the mood for after market screens. And I am sick and tired of Sony crappy treatment of development community.
I am now looking at Lenovo Zuk Z2 or Z2 pro. Both excellent phones with the latest CPU and made out of metal and glass by Motorola which they bought from Google a couple of years ago. Zuk is friendly to developers and their blobs don't dumb down camera and they don't seek to "unify" bugs for all their devices. I no longer wish to support a fat bastard corporation that can't make a good phone, but thinks that just by putting their logo on the phone would make it worth $700.
RE Jaguar. I will continue to maintain Jaguar mainly with security patches... for a while, but my main work will be concentrated on Zuk. There is a lot of work to be done cleaning Android N and implementing security and other features from Jaguar...
This is where you get the latest update
March 21. New release:
1. March Security patches
2. New Superuser
3. Updated kernel
Download: https://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=23814

February 9. New release:
1. February Security patches
2. DNS_Crypt (in settings/security)
3. Seccomp (secure computing implemented in kernel)
4. Open Source Superuser integrated
5. Silent SMS notification enabled
6. 1440p profile in camcorder added
If you enable Dnscrypt and you use Afwall, allow internet to apps running as root...
If you prefer closed source Supersu, just flash the zip...

January 20. Good News! Time service completely fixed. Qcom's crappy and creepy service taken out and replaced with Sony open source TimeKeep ported from MM/N. No connection to the internet needed. Everything is done locally on the device. TWRP has also been modified to set the correct time on boot.
The wayTimeKeep works is that before the shut down, it saves the properly set time and on reboot restores it (after the down time calculation). TWRP also reads that value on boot. For those who have encrypted data: the correct time in TWRP will be set after you enter boot password and data is decrypted and mounted.

You may flash dirty if on a previous release. Otherwise, fresh install (read directions)
P.S. This build included an experimental kernel. So, if you have any problems, flash the stable version in fastboot (unzip the file first): https://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3995799&d=1483894575

December 13. Stereo Sound is here. This is based on Dontbelive mode, but it is just clean stereo sound (ear piece and loud speaker), no bass or any other ridiculous "improvements" that do nothing, but distort. And as a result, just a clear stereo sound for games, videos, songs etc...
Just flash the zip in TWRP and reboot. Remember, this is not a rom, but a stereo-sound mode to flash on top of Jaguar...
After installing this, you have to make one call to recalibrate the sound. Otherwise, you may have distortions in the ear piece....

2. Signature spoofing feature (cherry-picked from Omnirom)

November 10. Rom updated to include November Security Patches+. I have also removed Supersu, as the rom has a built-in root manager. However, if anyone wants to install Supersu, you can easily flash it in recovery

October 10. Kernel-no-overclock.
Unzip and flash in fastboot.

_________________________________________________________________________________
October 9. Updated Kernel, which includes:
1. Updated higher frequency voltage
2. Improved Prima/Wifi driver
Your CPU variant may require voltage adjustment in Kernel Adiutor for new frequencies. Try to give a load for CPU and if you have freezing or random reboots (which you shouldn't), adjust higher 3 by +10/20. This latest kernel achieves 40000+ antutu score with Ondemandplus with temperature rising to about 58 at the highest load...
Note that some CPU/GPU variants just won't go to 2803 for CPU or 600 for GPU
Instructions: Unzip boot.img and flash in fastboot: fastboot flash boot boot.img or use various apps to install without fastboot
Download: http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=20838

October 8. Rotating Home Screen: if you want your home screen rotate like on a tablet, flash the attached file in recovery and reboot. So, when you set display to rotate, home screen will be included
__________________________________________________________________________________
October 5. New release:
1. Kernel overclocked to 2803: experimental, I have used it for 10 days without problems
2. October security patches from Google and Code Aurora
3. Over 80 commits from Google Master Gerrit which included changes to bionic, art, frameworks and system
4. Updated Afwall
5. Maybe more
This rom is now about 40% Nougat. One of the side effects: Xposed framework no longer works, but getting rid of it and instead using Privacy Guard is almost as good. Don't forget, Xposed is an exploit, which provides hooks for good and bad things.
Rom Download: http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=20788
Afwall/Kernel Adiutor Download: http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=20787

September 8. Rom updated to include:
1. September Google security patches
2. Latest Code Aurora patches https://www.codeaurora.org/projects/security-advisories
3. MPdecision is permanently disabled due to interfering with other hotplug and CPU frequencies. Default is MSMdecision, but you can pick several others in Kernel Adiutor
4. CPU overclock and underclock removed: no benefit whatsoever
5. More hardening ported from 3.18, 4.1 and 4.4 kernels: https://android-review.googlesource.com/#/q/hardened,25 You won't find those in any rom custom or stock. This is from 3.18-4.4 kernels and it has nothing to do with Sony AOSP. That's why it works...
6. About 70-80 commits from Android Master Branch. Folks. This is no longer a lollipop rom
7. PXN security feature implemented, which takes advantage of special instructions on ARMv7 to prevent unprivileged execution. See here: https://android-review.googlesource.com/#/c/265892/
8. Further integration of VOLTE
9. Kernel Adiutor: author has decided to go with Mobile Ads/Adview/Adbanner. So these were removed...
10. Camera: improvements to camera wrapper (missing entries), as well as some modifications in /frameworks/av/camera, so, you have a sharper picture. See photo attached, although, XDA reduces pictures... . This was taken with Open Camera. Not the crappy Sony Open Camera, but the fully open source one, with many features including several focusing modes: https://f-droid.org/repository/browse/?fdfilter=open+camera&fdid=net.sourceforge.opencamera. Tell me bootloader locked stock camera is better. It is not...
11. Maybe more...
WARNING: you need to do one thing after flashing the rom: flash the latest stock baseband. BASEBAND ONLY. If you don't, you will only have LTE: no H+/H/2G. This is a one-time procedure and is due to Volte implementation. You can either use FlashTool to flash stock baseband or a Partition Backup App (from Googleplay or elsewhere) to backup and restore your modems. With FlashTool, first flash the rom, then reboot, then flash the latest baseband. With Partition Backup, first, backup your modems, then flash the rom, then restore modems and reboot. You have been warned. I don't want to hear cries: where is my 3G!

Downloaded and flashed so far great ROM but 1st issue I noticed I believe data is turned off at ROM start up so setting up Google etc... Is hard without WiFi other than that ultra smooth and really fast great work. @optimumpro I don't suppose you know how to get OK Google everywhere to work do you on all ROMs I have tried its never there
Hope to see FAB in recents in next build if possible though as the remove recents is kinda small and the hover notifications kind of cover over it

Is there still a bug when you turn Bluetooth off and on and it changes the Bluetooth MAC address? (as well as the same WiFi MAC for every device)

Data is off by default on first boot only to prevent the phone from connecting before you set it up (firewall etc.). Just turn it on and it will stay on despite reboots. Ok Google? Oh, that's too complicated for me.

Totally agree with you.
I was also able to set my WiFi MAC without any problems.
The layers thing is also a very good alternative.
My Z1 is now really hot, I hope it will calm down after some days of use.
@optimumpro: Keep on with this good mix [emoji3]

Tweak cpu voltages and governors. You should not have any overheating. Also, don't put any stress on cpu while the phone is charging. Phones are not designed to be used while on a charger: they only get current from the battery, unlike laptops, so, when you are on charger and using the phone, you stress the battery and cpu.
Does everything work with this rom? modem, camera and recharge while the phone is off?

Yes everything seems to be working great modem, camera etc...
Prime Red Dark Layers Theme is really nice I tried Scarlett but has Playstore changelog no text bug
Oh I have xposed installed also for flat style status bar, always correct, force expanded notifications this ROM is by far the best ultra quick
1 big question just noticed how come colour picker tint overlay is still in the dialer ? I thought this was removed in 5.1.1 ? As you can see with the red overlay (This is my very Old Number)

I noticed that when I get a call, the phone has to switch back to GSM signal. If I don't have GSM listed in the preferred network types, I could not be reached on the phone - goes straight into a busy tone... Anybody else experienced this?

This is a normal behavior. Your phone is a GSM phone. Now, if your carrier provides voice over 3g, then your phone will swith to 3g/H+ from LTE. If you have Volte (voice over LTE), it will stay on LTE. In most of the world there is no Volte yet, so, if your data is LTE, then when you get a call, the phone switches to 3g/H+. If your carrier does not provide calls over 3g (2g only) and you are on WCDMA/LTE, then you won't receive any calls. In that case you should switch to GSM/WCDMA/LTE.
Again, as I have already said, that's the behavior on all roms. Other roms just don't have the options in cell menu that this rom has and changing networks in phone test menue does not stick on reboot. So, you have to know what you are doing...

I guess I managed to jump too hastily again ... it does make sense of course, and I should have noticed that before. The default setting threw me off I guess, since that was without GSM and when my boss tried to reach me, he just got a busy tone anyhow, thank you so much for the explanation and this wonderful ROM. I just can't move away from Layers anymore

"Default setting". That's my fault, I shouldn't have assumed that everyone has voice over 3g. I will change this in the next release, but your selection GSM/WCDMA/LTE should stick after reboot.
Thanks for a great ROM! Will this be your main ROM from now on?
Do you recommend to use the kernel defaults or do you have other settings for voltage, governor etc. that you recommend?
This is a really good ROM! Good job @optimumpro! :good:
The feature I really miss from your unofficial DU ROM is the ability to block System Wakelocks. I have serious wakelocks on my phone due to Play services and I don't like Xposed too much (compromises security and drains battery).
Could you add this feature? Thanks!
OK starting to get Random Reboots but I think it's my kernel settings as I had no issues at all except when screen waked up wouldn't let me unlock for a little while so I altered few things fixed that problem now I get random reboots

[ROM] [6.0.1] [10/23/2016] [M4B30X] [Tuna - All Variants]

Android 6.0.1 for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus
Introduction
This is a moderately customized ROM for the Galaxy Nexus based on AOSP 6.0.1. It is a unified build that should work on all three variants: toro, maguro and toroplus. Focus is on stability and functionality, with many additional features pulled from other custom ROM projects and some that I have designed myself. My goal was to create a build stable enough for daily use (I still use this as my primary phone) while developing new features that help improve the overall Android experience.
I welcome any and all feedback, including bug reports and feature requests and of course, donations are always very much appreciated!

Instructions
Install / Upgrade:
Flash ROM
Flash Google Apps package
Flash SuperSU (optional)
Flash Xposed (optional)
If you are migrating from a different ROM, you must wipe /data!!
Reboot
Notes:
On the first boot after flashing/upgrading, the device will reboot itself once before the boot animation (Google Logo will display twice).
This ROM has been built without DEXPREOPT, so the initial boot will take considerably longer. For this reason, I have made the ability to turn off the screen during the boot sequence to hopefully save some wear and tear on the display.
This ROM uses the older graphics drivers and is therefore incompatible with any third party kernels! Please do not flash any other kernels with this ROM!

Toroplus
I've installed the rom on my sprint toroplus . Runs smooth as butta but I've not been able to get gapps or google play services going . Open gapps will flash but you can never get anywhere with it because setup wizard FC's over and over . I've flashed it without gapps . It boots up fast and runs perfectly without gapps . 3G comes on fast , calls work , bluetooth works well . Other gapps I've flashed complete successfully but aren't anywhere to be found once booted . I've also downloaded the latest google play store apk to try and get my google account connected but it FC's everytime I try to add my google account . I think this rom will be great if I can figure out a way to get some gapps on it . I've tried FML 6.01 and it doesn't have this gapps issue so that's a good sign . I intend to keep trying and if anyone has an idea of how to get around this please holla at me .It seems like it might be a permissions problem . ty

I intend to keep trying and if anyone has an idea of how to get around this please holla at me .It seems like it might be a permissions problem . ty

Make sure you install gapps BEFORE you boot into the system...or else you will get permissions errors. Flash ROM, flash gapps, wipe data, then boot.
Also, each time you upgrade to a new build, you MUST remember to flash gapps before you boot into the system...or else you will have to reformat the entire data partition. The runtime permissions framework in M is a bit of a hassle, and the kinks are likely still being worked out.
Good luck.

Thanks for the reply . So there won't be any dirty flashing this for awhile then ? I did at first flash gapps when I flashed the rom . After all the FC's I did flash without and booted up . I am currently flashing dirty with MM daily on an S3 but that's another beast Lol .Are you saying I'll have to reformat just the data partition or do you mean entire sdcard partition ? At least we know data , telephony , bluetooth all good . I can't verify GPS until I can get something installed to test it with . ty

If you are migrating from another ROM, you must wipe /data. You may dirty flash future builds of this ROM (unless otherwise specified) but you must always remember to flash the gapps package before you boot into the system, or else you will encounter the permissions errors.

Please include your version of Galaxy Nexus in bug reports! (All versions are codenamed: Tuna)

SCH-i515 "Toro" (Verizon)

GPS works, Cellular connection drops after each calls and regains in 5-15 seconds.
Camera ok, video recording ok. but I miss legacy camera that you included in LP.
Thanks @zzpianoman .

Thanks for the feedback.
The Legacy Camera app does not work in M. The only reason I included it in the Lollipop CM builds was because Google Camera had a tendency to crash. This is no longer the case in Marshmallow, so I decided to abandon the Legacy Camera app altogether.
When you say the cellular connection drops, do you mean mobile data?

@zzpianoman , thanks for reply. It's not even mobile data the entire connection "no signal". I shall try to send a screenshot, if possible.

As we're getting back into the thread game, keeping up with threads and updating them as per changelogs can be too hectic given our schedule. However, very detailed changelogs always go up on our Google+ page, follow us for constant updates!
Instructions & requirements
We highly recommend you to follow these instructions very carefully. Users usually tend to skip a few steps and eventually fall in trouble. Are you with me? Good. Let's get this train going.
Just a few things to keep in mind first -
If you're coming from another ROM / Stock, your system data (not internal storage) will have to be wiped. This includes apps, accounts, messages, call logs etc.
There's been some users complaining about different GAPPS variants messing up installs and causing a ton of issues. Upon investigating it seems OpenGapps Mini/Nano and Banks GAPPS work best.
Understand that Paranoid Android is a custom ROM and it might lead to addiction as it's relatively good. We shouldn't be accused of anything just incase your cat starts drinking wine. Things get a little woozy in the Paranoid World.
Some brain might be involved if things go wrong. Not a lot though, as much to solve what's 1+1.
Okay let's get to the main bit -
Once you have all the required files - boot into recovery and wipe the bananas out of your device. Get into the wipe menu and wipe data, system, cache and dalvik cache (basically everything except Internal Storage).
Once wiped, get into the "Install from zip" menu and select the ROM zip. (pa_bacon_6.x...). Once added to the install queue, TWRP will ask you if you want to add more zips into the queue - Click on "add more zips" and select the GAPPS package.
Swipe the bar on the bottom to flash/install zips. Once both zips are done installing - Reboot into system and set-up your device, do not do anything else.
Once you're done setting up your device - well that's when you're done. One thing though - Make sure you DO NOT INSTALL any other zip in the same queue as the ROM & GAPPS. Meaning, do not flash anything like a kernel or a root package while installing the ROM. We recommend you do that AFTER you're done setting up your device.

OK first, when you record a note voice, audio heard saturated. second: when you open often the camera and you spend to other applications can get a time when no longer opens and need to restart the phone. third: the ROM should bring a file manager by default

PA 6.0.1 Review
First: Thank you for your work :good:. First I tried the Kevinjoa CM 13, but it has a lot of soft reboots, so I moved here.
1) Installation: Before you beginn, you need TWRP (for e975), which you have to install via ADB (USB + PC) ask Dr. Google about that. Additional to PA you need GAPPs (I choose mini-Version) and it is useful to have chainfires SuperSU.zip (UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.76-20160630161323.zip). All 3 zips can be installed via twrp.
2) Limitations:
I use PA-Version pa_geehrc-6.0.1-20160730 since Aug 10th (2016). I don't have any reboots or something. Everything ist running smothly.
What is working:
- Wifi
- Mobile Data
- Camera
- Phone
- Bluetooth
- GPS
What is NOT working:
- NFC (there seems to be no option to activate it) I love NFC!
- IPv6 **
- Bluetooth sometimes has trouble to connect (Garmin forerunner + Pioneer headset)
- Mobile Data (HSDPA): Whatsapp + Mail is not working, while signal messenger and Chrome are working
** I had to disable IPv6 with "IPv6 Disable Tool", otherwise I encountered problems with mail, etc. I have native IPv6 for internet and the ipv6-stack seems to be the problem: "Socket timeout: failed to connect to server". Update: This is related to my mailprovider (hosteurope.de), which has a workaround.
The version seems to be battery draining, my phone was empty after less than 12 hrs. I will look to the reason.
OK guys, I will continue on this post.
Regards
Garmintroll
Update: I moved to resurrection remix, because oft Bluetooth and mobile data trouble.

How to enable hardware key backlight? Is there any option in the settings to configure it?
Working great on an old Sprint LG LS970 - thanks!
Question: Sprint/Ting 4G works, Sprint/Tello data does not work. Have attempted various APN editing tricks, but no dice. Any suggestions?
