So I just bought and rooted this device and could not find the init.d file like I have had on previous devices. Does the G3 not have init.d support yet or is it located in a different part of the file system other than system/etc/init.d?

MOUNT /SYSTEM BEFORE FLASHING

IF YOU HAVE INIT.D FILES YOU WANT TO MIX WITH THE ADRENALINE SHOT ADD THEM AFTER YOU FLASH THE TWEAK AND BE SURE TO RENAME THEM FOLLOWING THE ORDER OF THE TWEAKS O1 O2 O3 O4 O5 O6 ETC
MIUI AND CM7 USERS
you most likely have init.d scripts in your rom that you need for miui or cm, just know the tweak has 6 init.d scripts that go in order from 00 to 05 so any of your init.d scripts need to follow after that by renaming them 06,07,08 etc
THANKS
Thanks to Zach for his powersaving script
Thanks to Juwels for his ram script
Thanks to Ownwhere for his reference to patching the sqlite

Androguide.fr published a Universal Init.d installer on Play Store.
Initial release had an FC bug but its already fixed. Here's the link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/...mNvbS5hbmRyb2d1aWRlLnVuaXZlcnNhbC5pbml0LmQiXQ..

to quote : What makes this method really universal is that everything happens on the app side, no system files modifications are required whatsoever. The tool basically emulates the behavior of the init.d kernel mechanism : it will detect whenever the device is rebooted and execute the scripts located in /system/etc/init.d.
With this init.d support granting mechanism comes a kernel-sided init.d support detection mechanism, so that your int.d scripts don't get executed twice, which would only make for a longer boot time. Basically, when you run the test, it will generate a little init.d script which creates a file on your sdcard. Then, after you rebooted, it will check if the file that the generated script creates has indeed been created in order to determine if your kernel already has init.d support built-in. If the file was created, it does. If not, it doesn't, as simple as that.

Hi,
For people those who would like to stick to stock kernel, HERE is a way to enable init.d support so that you can use all init.d scripts on your phone.
Note - I am not the developer of this. All credits go to Ryuinferno
Hi, i downloaded last cn rom b507, added root,... amd installed pure performances and graphics, the problem is that i think init.d is not really working.
Do i have to enable init.d in any way or is it enabled by default?
Regards
I'm just as curious as to what these are? What do Init.d support and zipaligned tweaks do?
