Saw The Daily Note guy using something called Idea Sketch within S-Note on some of his older Note 3 videos but can't find it on the Note 4. Was this removed or do I need to download an APK or something?
You have to download it. Open snote and up in the upper left corner where the three lines are beside recent click that and in the menu at the bottom click more features and download it there.

When using the slide in arrow feature to open multiple apps at the same time. I'm not seeing how to pin an app on top like I could with last year's 10.1. I see how to pin an app on top from Air View but snote nor any type of note taking app is an option. Wow, I hope I'm missing something obvious here.
Samsung has changed multi window behavior after original Note 10.1. There used to be cascading option, you could open few apps and pin them. Now you can only open 2 windows side by side, plus few other ones on top of them. No more pins.

This is bad news for me. I used a Bible app that opens in 2 panes so I put my favorite Bible translation on the left side of the screen. Then I opened sNote and pinned it over the top of the right side of the Bible app and I had a great way to read and take notes at the same time.
Now it looks like I'll have to root my device to allow me to do what my old device still does? I haven't put my old 10.1 on ebay yet!

This is going to determine if I keep my 2014 version as well. I also miss the Pen preset cycling in s-note as well

From the reviews on youtube, it seems evident that Multi-View no longer supports multiple floating windows as the Note 10.1 1st gen has.
What happened? Is this downgrade a sign of things to come?

It's gone. Since Note 8 only 2 windows side by side are available. But now there is an option to open small floating window through Air Command, called Pen Window, only few apps are supported (calculator, web browser, youtube, few more). If smart people from this board can find a way to add other apps to Pen Window, then we're back to having floating windows.
Floating mode has been replaced by pen window. You can open up as many pen windows as you want in addition to the two side by side apps. It's actually better, we just need someone to produce a hack where we can add more apps to the pen window menu.

They've modded the note 8 rom to have floating windows. the note 2 also.

I believe I read somewhere about the Note 3 that someone (from XDA) figured out how to get any app to show up in the selection for pen windows. It's apparently a fairly simple modification, but one that has to be made to each app that you want to use as a floating app. All in all, I think we'll have any app we want floating around quite soon.

Ya I have the note 3 and its an apk which allows you to pick any app to show up in pen window. 100% something if not same app will show for note 2014
Necroing this thread. I have this very same issue on the Galaxy Note 10.1 (2012) that I upgraded to KitKat 4.4.2 , All was fine until I loaded my S-Note app to try do a floating window that I normally do and discovered there's no option any where to make the S-Note a window, just full screen. The floating S-Pen menu only gives the Action memo (not what I want) and the Pen window feature didn't even list S-Note among it, I looked further to see you can drag the icon into the Pen window but S-Note still will not launch in a window.
What is this apk file that allows multi-windows? What a downgrade to remove a very useful feature. I would float the S-Note in a window and pin it to take notes as I scroll through the Bible app during church. I can't believe Samsung didn't see the usefulness of that feature to not carry it over to the new OS.
Recently my girlfriend got me new note 8.0 as she said my old tab was sluggish. As a first time Note user shifting from tab 7.7, I found that there are few things that I couldn't find in my note 8.0 like:
1. No quick app task bar - I quite used to open calculator from the task bar and it would come out as a floating pop up window, I could easily drag the window anywhere and closed it once I was done with it.
2. Cascade view multiwindow - As I was using note 8.0 erobot ROM with multiwindow MOD
Is there any shortcut or anything that I can change somewhere? I have tried to look around but still can't find it.
Thank you.

i'm actually the user that ported the multiwindow mod to the 7.7 originally...if u want the same exact experience u had on the P6800 the u can use my mod in the link below BUT unfortunately it only works on 4.1.2 so u would need to downgrade if you're on 4.2.2. If its ONLY cascade mode that u want then its possible to mod the flashbar (left side quick app task bar/multiwindow launcher) to have the dual/cascade mode buttons u are used to seeing in the minimode panel/nav bar...since the left launcher is the default multiwindow mode for the note 8 then i assume that what u want is the bottom quick apps task bar/minimode tray launcher that u have been using on the 7.7 which means u should follow the link below

For the floating calculator? I use pie launcher and aircalc. I swipe from the left to bring out the pie and slide to air calc. Pretty fast too for like 20 of my favorite apps (including floating stickies and evernote and the floating voice recorder). I also use overlay launcher set as a launch point just at the level of the volume rocker so it's different from the lauch area of pie launcher, Use it for specialty apps like tasker and shortcuts to "activities".Then for swiping from the right I use swapps for an alphabetized quick launch bar. Most 1 gig ram tabs and phones find this hard to handle but the note 8 breezes through.
Multiwindow cascade? I'm planning to do that too but still enjoying stock for now...want to wait it out for that new magazine UX that's replaced touchwiz UX on samsung tablets. I hope it makes it to the note 8 during the next update...

Yes, I am actually using your multiwindow mod and like it very much on my tab 7.7. About the tray launcher, Is it possible to make it hidden for note 8.0? Is it compatible with N5120? I feel that the good thing about note 8.0 screen, it isn't block by the task bar like at tab 7.7. I'm still learning to use Note 8.0, but sometimes I miss some part of tab 7.7 that I am already getting used to it. Thanks! :good:

I just downloaded aircalc and tried to use it for my note, but I feel the ads was so annoying, I previously used realcalc and like it so much, thanks for your suggestion :good:
Long time Note user here (Note 1-3, Edge, 8-10) and Samsung is awesome but we have a saying down here in the American South: They "do too much".
They come up with so many features that when they put out a new version, they REMOVE features no one asked them to REMOVE!
Here's what's grinding my gears: remember on ANY Samsung phone that had split apps, they had 3 buttons that would appear if you "clicked" the middle line in between the apps?
Three options would show up:
1. An X to close out multi-window
2. A box within a box to change one of the apps to pop-up view.
3. Two rotating arrows to MAKE THE TWO APPS SWITCH PLACES. (Top to bottom and vice-versa)
That option has now been removed and this new convoluted bs way has now been 'implemented'.
Can ANYONE show me how to get it back, or a workaround?
What happened to Photo Note? Why not just have the older Note functions that made us USE the phone, available as additional, STILL FUNCTIONING apks to download separately? Why make good apps and then not keep them useable?
I'm thinking about going back to the damn Note 8 because it had that feature. I've attached a picture to show what I'm referring to.
Please help me before I toss this 1.2k paperweight across my house!

I can only answer the multiwindow feature.
Install Samsung GoodLock app and the MultiStar module for goodlock app.
They took it out of the firmware and put it in a separate app. The Goodlock app has few different modules to try out.
They took it out on Note 8 Pie as well so have to use GoodLock!
edit:
If on Android 10 wait for Samsung to update the GoodLock app to work on it!
geesh. when they toss everything and the kitchen sink out people ***** that it was bloated and had too many duplicated features. now that they are slimming it down and removing the bloat people ***** that they are removing the features that the *****ed about.
damn if you do, damn if you don't.
That's Samsung for you. I used the Hide Navigation Bar feature so that it wouldn't show when I'm browsing, etc. It was nice that I could swipe up to make it appear. I guess I'll just have to get used to the new hidden swipe design, but I'm really not a fan as I like Nova's full screen gestures, not Samsung's wonky attempt at having it active from the bottom of the screen only.
They likely change these things to lessen bloat. If you look you'll see that they create multiple apps to control all these features, so it becomes a mess when they leave too many in and running at once. That's how it appears anyway.

I think they are trying to flex! lol
Your photos are copyright protected the moment you snap them in the US.
Use a post processing app if you insist on watermarking some of them.
Not one in their right mind would watermark every bloody image especially if archiving them. File types are hard enough to keep current over the decades without adding garbage like watermarks.

You can do it only manually.
1. Open the Gallery app on your Galaxy Note 20 Ultra.
2. Select the Edit tool at the bottom (the one that looks like a pencil).
3. Tap Stickers icon at the bottom (the square with a smiley).
4. Tap the Calendar icon.
5. Tap the Samsung Galaxy sticker.
You can move it around and position the sticker where you want it. You can also resize the sticker to your liking.
6. Tap Save at the top.
7. Now you have Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G sticker on it.

I think a lot of apps on the Play Store can do that.
Just take your spen and sign across the whole image in max thickness.
However it's more fun not to do any of that, then sue for infringement when a large corporation uses it. Think of it as residual income.
