Dash slideshow help

Does anyone know how I can get the Slideshow screensaver in "Pictures & Videos" to play photos from the storage card, when connected to my PC. I found it under Pictures & video/menu/options/slideshow. It shows photos only from My Pictures on My Device....I would like it to show photos from My Pictures on My Storage Card.
Any suggestions?????
Thanks in advance for any help
Well I'm not absolutely certain about the screensaver but you can change the camera default storage location.
You simply need to hit the Start Button - All Programs -Scroll to Camera - Select Camera - Right Soft Button (above backspace) - Menu - Folders - then select the appropriate storage device.
My camara and video recorder are set up this way to default to the storage card.

Trying to figure
Been there, done that.
I've already got mine set up that way too, but the screen saver won't pull pictures from there. I believe that the screen saver is set up to act as a picture show while connected to the PC. I just want to pick where the pictures are pulled from. The program only pulls from My Device/My Documents/My Pictures. I limit the amount of pictures on My Device to save space and try to place the majority of them on My Storage Card. I like the slideshow, but too little pictures to choose from on My Device. Much more on My Storage Card.
Any other help available.....
Thanks,
Yeah, sorry for the bad advice. I was just trying to figure out how to patch my stupid comment but I see it's too late, you're online and read it.
no problem...
That's okay...your trying to help....that's always appreciated

How do I make photos show up in Photos and Gallery?

HTC's Photos app doesn't show the photos on my SD card and neither does Gallery (the cooliris Nexus One app ported to Incredible). How do I get photos to show up? Arr, it's driving me nuts!
Edit: SOLVED, see below.

I fixed this using the free "Gallery Enabler" app from the Market. I definitely recommend it!

I tried that app and thought it was great too, until I couldn't find any of my music playlists.
I think it hides folders from other applications besides Photos.
If you have problems, open gallery enabler and check all folders before you un-install it.
Then the right way to fix it is to open the Photos app on the phone, clck on the menu button and select "Settings" and then "Default Albums" then select the options you want from there.
If you're wondering how this application works, it probably just deletes/adds the hidden .nomedia files from folders. Those files restrict applications from having access to the media by signaling the android media scanner to ignore them. For instance, if you put one in the root of your sd card, the system would ignore any media on your entire card.
In theory, it's a great idea.
The problem is that all of my music is organized in folders and each folder contains the album art for the album.
So blocking the folder with the album art so that it does not show up in the gallery also blocks the music file from different media applications.

Ah, you're definitely right. All my music stopped showing up. However, once I went back and enabled all the folders and applied settings in Gallery Enabler all my music showed up again and the photos were still fixed. I suppose you could use Gallery Enabler once to "force" Gallery and Photos to see all the folders.
Changing default albums in HTC's Photos app did nothing to make media show up again. Thanks for the suggestion though!

Un-installing gallery enabler brought my music back but not the playlists, I had to manually re-build all of my playlists again.

how can i do it?! any body help me?! plz
thanks a lot
sorry for my bad english:cyclops:
You need to put a file named .nomedia in the folders you don't want Gallery to index!
Download it from here: http://www.mediafire.com/?xqjjytzzznz
Copy it to your phone and please note that it's a hidden file (because the name starts with a period) so use a file manager in "show hidden files" mode!
Then just copy that file into all the folders you want excluded from the gallery.
Then reboot.
Make empty text file and give it a name .nomedia , copy that file i folder wich you want to hide from gallery app

Thanks, it was really annoying having all music images showing in my gallery.
Hi,
You should call the image of the album (or the artist) "folder.jpg" and put it in the directory where the songs are (hope I express myself right...). That way none will show up in the gallery but any media reader will use it when you play the track.
