Packets from Markeplace captured by Wireshark

Since yesterday we are unable to download content of Marketplace thru the 3MktPlace. Using WP7connector, Wireshark let as to look into transmission between cellphone and Marketplace. This below is what Wireshark captured while downloading ESPN application. I do not how this could be useful but if is, maybe one of as will try find way to decrypt it.

No, marketplace http protocol still the same (for example, my application still functional - I can search, get description, screenshots, rating etc.)
The main difference in the downloaded package content: instead plain .xap (i.e. .zip) now we getting PlayReady DRM encoded package.

This is because Marketplace XAP files are now encrypted by Microsoft.

This is because Marketplace XAP files are now encrypted by Microsoft.

So still the same encoding gzip?

You aren't unable to download content. If you disable the auto-patch on download option, it will still download the XAP. If you open that with an editor you'll see a PlayReady header.
If you try to patch the XAP, 3MktPlace will try to open it as a ZIP file (which XAPs are) and crash because the ZIP library can't handle.
Also, I'm unsure whether discussing 3MktPlace is even allowed, as I know there are anti-piracy rules in the forum rules.

As stated, the newly-implemented XAP encryption by Microsoft is what you're running into here.
I'll go ahead and close this to prevent it stemming off into the grey areas not condoned by XDA.

Application not installed - shows me error while pressing Upload. I did copy both vhost file. Any clue?

it just works with adobe reader 10.1...maybe you are using another version

Do I need copy any file into phone before?

How to disable Application Name on small tiles

Hello! I was looking for a method, which can disappear Application Name in small tiles.
Before:

After:
It is very easy.
Instruction:
1. Unpack your XAP file. (Use winRar)
2. Find WMAppManifest.xml
3. Open it in text editor.
4. Look for this line: <Title>[APP NAME HERE]</Title>
5. Replace it with <Title> </Title>.
6. Go to winRar, replace the old WMAppManifest.xml with the new one.
7. Install Application.
Done!

This would solve something that's been annoying me for a while.
But, I have no idea how to remove a xap from my phone, and a search doesn't show me anything. So how do I remove/copy a xap from my phone to my PC? And is it even possible with parts of the ROM? Such as music and video?

It is pretty obvious by now that you need to be a developer and have the source code to do so...
You can't get to the XAP, and even if you did, you would have to decompile it, then recompile after you've done the changes.

right. i too have an 7.0.8858 rom (RTM) which has this no more, this was just an bug so everything is like it should be.

this app can do it! it can extract xap from phone and u can copy it from phone to PC using Windows Phone Device Manager!

How to install buddy???? Will it work on win 8.1???

Hi friends... iam replying U for the feed back by our wp7 devs.
Some asking me how to install, you can use xapdeploy app or via pc with windows phone deploy tools.
And some for update, ya I will update it soon I have some trouble of policy allow problem on some native codes. Wait for update soon coming up.
And some for next platform like wp8 and 10, please have a try if any one has a better device and reply in this form now.
I think you need a wproot tool app first for policy trust
