So, holy crap this ROM is fast. Like, no exaggeration, this is the smoothest, most fluid ROM to ever hit our devices (That's MIUI for you ). Data works, LTE, even MMS works! Don't exactly know how good battery is just yet, but I'd imagine its pretty average, more or less. We'll see. If you ever wanted to turn your android device into iOS device, well, this is the closest you're going to get, literally. Thanks again, @JustinXu

Very nice! Thanks for building. It's only taken about a year's worth of builds and ports but now there's finally a fully functional MIUI for our device.

MIUI! Thank you so much JustinXu!! You keep surprising me every time!! I loved MIUI on my EVO 4G and galaxy S3, and now I can use it on this!!
Downloading as we speak.

No, I downloaded something called "Google Installer" from the Mi Market and downloaded GP services and Play Store from there. Was too afraid to use normal gapps in case they mucked things up. Did you give it a shot?

@JustinXu not bug but suggestion, can you make multilanguage using jBart?

So far here is what I have found.
1. Search on the far left home screen doesn't work, get unfortunately search has stopped message.
2. Torch doesn't turn on the back led.
3. Can't change the weather to Fahrenheit.
Other notes: had to install gapps in recovery, tried your way bit I couldn't get it to work. Stock messaging app doesn't appear to support group messaging.
Other than that, got my exchange email working right from the beginning, and everything else I have tried appears to be working.

Try getting a lock on stock or any other ROM then load this one up.
I didn't experience any bugs like this.
Only bug I was met with was no vibration on touch (home, back, and menu buttons.) If that even is a bug. ROM works well for me. Went back to his vanilla android, because, you know, stock.

Hey @JustinXu, is there any special reason why you uploaded a vanilla version of stock 4.4.2? Just a little weird seeing as that's an outdated ROM, lol

Haven't tried. If they don't, just flash the Navbar mod. I've been exclusively using that ever since he first posted the vanilla 4.4.4 ROM where the lights didn't work for a true N4 experience. Haven't turned back since.

That's lame of Facebook. The save the best features for the lower spec phones. Its not like others can't support Facebook home they just chose to specifically restrict the app to their favorite phones. That's bad business

Yea but with side loading if Facebook updates Facebook or messenger then those people will have to go through another process for the new updates. At least with a build prop edit we can still easily update through the play store without any issues.
Also to the guy above about SMS and messenger.. we have that.. have even before Facebook home came out. And it should have nothing to do with what phones we have about support on Facebook home. Its like restricting the Facebook app to only galaxy devices or google apps to only nexus devices. Its stupid. I could understand restricting from devices with only a single core. Or making it only for ICS and above. But a specific device...
Edit: with Facebook home I'm pretty sure Facebook will be doing a lot of updating. I would hate to have to search a forum or Google for the latest work apks just for an update.

Chameleon OS test ROM available- Device maintainer wanted

Hello All,
The developer of Chameleon OS has "blind" made a test build for t0ltetmo, available at http://goo.im/devs/ChameleonOS/roms/t0ltetmo/cos-0.8_4.3-20130828-EXPERIMENTAL-t0ltetmo.zip
Google Apps http://goo.im/devs/ChameleonOS/gapps/gapps-jb43-20130826-chaos.zip
It is Android 4.3, full wipe required.
In limited testing, all appears to work except bluetooth.
We are looking for someone to help by maintaining this device long term.
Thanks and enjoy!

Glad to see this got posted - ran it all day and no hiccups (outside of the bluetooth bit) to report. I'm down to lend a hand but I fear I would require a bit too much hand holding at the onset than the team would really want (uber n00b and all that). I'm sure someone w/ aosp chops will come along though

Lollipop port

I found a lollipop ROM for the note 2 international version and was wondering if it would be easier to port from that or to start with aosp. Any suggestions on where to get started? Thanks
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-2/orig-development/rom-namelessrom-2-0-t2943424
I imagine e it'd be easier to start with the port.
Now all we need are some porting pros.
Its dissapointing that no one is even attempting to maintain this phone now. I suppose, I could try to commission a maintainer though...
Edit: well I found out what happened to one of our biggest device maintainers.

Seems many other devs have moved onto bigger and better phones - good to see you're still working on stuff. Thanks for the effort!

Oh thank heavens. I thought for sure I was going to have to buy a nexus 6 tomorrow. Very glad to see you haven't abandoned the note 2.

Well things are getting close. No cell service, camera, or GPS but getting there one step at a time. Most of my device tree is based off the n7100 and l900.

stock camera (back is not working but google/3rd party should work fine)
To get mobile network go to settings--more--cell network--cdma subscription and change to NV
wifi needs to be turned on once before screen turns off or you will bootloop you can turn it off afterwards and rom will work fine
you need to change settings for keyboard to work settings--language&input--current keyboard then enable hardware switch

Liking it so far. Let it be known you do have to go download a gapps package though. Just did that. Then going to test a couple cameras.
---------- Post added at 06:16 AM ---------- Previous post was at 05:28 AM ----------
OK. So I understand this now. The back camera does not work period. Even with other apps.
Runs great! I wonder how big of an impact the mostly white menus will drain our batteries. And if the new way Android works and its battery saving will off put that.
"Edit"
Xposed sadly is not compatible with Android 5 yet.

Also might want to make sure internal sd is wiped and android folder on your external sd is deleted. Dont use much facebook (clear/blue is what I have) and not tested on lp. Got to love how they make you use a second app to help suck your battery down even more.

Right? We are supposed to believe them forcing us to use a second app is to make things better for us and not them being up to something, messed up something, and\or not have a clue what they are doing?
I did clean to install new ROM 3 times. Might try full wipe too

Odd issue is my XDA app is deleted every time I reboot.

Paid or free xda? I have paid on cm12 and no issues with it disappearing on reboot. Also restored a few times and still fine.

Free for me. That and when I restore WiFi access data nothing restores. Only issues I really found thus far.
And the audio is great.

The only issue I have so far on this ROM is the back camera not working with any app. I do use my camera quite a bit so I will most likely revert to my backup until this gets fixed.

I have compiled AICP 5.0.1 (has mobile service) and BrokenPOP (before mobile service worked) and only BrokenPOP had both front and rear camera working. I am working on a new compile of BrokenPOP now and if camera is still working I will port that over to both CM and AICP.

AICP [5.0.1][unofficial]

Well I have had this out on my other forum for a bit now and figured it was time to share here on XDA. This is an unofficial build of AICP so if you have any issues please post here and no where else. If you like what AICP has done then go to their G+ page and thank them because they did all the hard work not me.

This rom has all the normal note 2 lollipop issues
Known Issues:
Screen off reboot -- To prevent this just turn on wifi once and after that you can run wifi off/on and wont have any issue
Keyboard no showing -- Open settings go to languages and input.. current keyboard.. and enable hardware keyboard option
GPS -- The gps sensor does not work.. You can flash the gps fix in the 3rd post to gain gps

sweet!! hope you like it. i will start doing nightlies of this and evervolv next year. since lp (lollipop) is new you will find new features on each nightly. the posted build is from the 22nd and new things have already been added such as circle bar and gesture anywhere. it will take some time for these roms to have all the cool features of kk but those features will show up.

Evervolv does not have network traffic. Actually Evervolv has almost no extra options and will not have much added to it. It is designed to be extremely close to stock aosp.
I have tried netflix on every lp rom and it does not work. This is a note 2 issue. Netflix does work on there devices.

AICP 10 / 5.1.1 build?
Is there a stable AICP 10 (lollipop 5.1.1) build for the Galaxy Note 2 SPH-L900? I recently installed the stable version on my daughter's Galaxy S3, and I really like it. I'd like to put the Ice Cold Project on my Note II, but I can't find it anywhere. Any pointers? I'm really not in the mood to deal with all the sudden problems that pop up in nightly builds.

Jlmancuso got banned, so I'm not sure we will ever see more development on the roms he was working on. The note 2 is getting less and less development as it ages, just the natural life cycle of phones.
I see Jlmancuso got banned? He seemed such a great help here! Hopefully someone can shed some light on that one!
But I also just installed the ROM and do like it. But seem to have 1 weird issue in that my camera will not work. At first it only showed the front facing camera, and not the back. And then after trying to switch to video, it also can't find the camera.
I'm going to try and load a the camera.apk from the Alliance Rom (my former rom) if that is possible. But everything else seems to be working good on it.
