[Q] Android Wear app needs to update

Hello
Everytime i open the android wear app a message pops up which says the Android Wear app needs to update and then open the play store, but no update is available.
I've reinstalled it several times, clear data and chache and also reset my moto 360 but nothing helped
What can i do to fix it?

Which version is installed on your mobile?
The latest is Version: 1.1.1.1901499

I have this same issue. I just blocked the notification. But would like to figure this out.

1.1.1.1956917 just released a few moments ago. Contains Google Play Services 7.5.71 for the watch. Hopefully this version will fix the OPs issues.

Still seeing this with 1.1.1.1956917
I read that if you clidk "OK" then open Google Now then re-launch the Wear app, it runs without asking for the refresh
I tried and this is working for me

Error: Google Services missing from phone

Since updating to Wear 1.3, I've had more error messages than ever before. It's been disconnecting from my phone for no reason.
The new thing I've noticed today is "Google services missing from phone"
Everything is already up to date (Play services, Wear and Android OS)
I've liked the interactive watch faces with the new v1.3 but these errors are really annoying.

I updated my watch yesterday and today I'm receiving the same message.

Moto 360 Gen 1 missing apps

So I just upgraded my phone to the HTC One A9 that is running Marshmallow. I also recently bought a Moto 360 V1. It updated fine without me having to force it. However, I don't have GMail nor GroupMe on my Moto 360 and my Google Hangout app won't even load. I went into Android Wear app and even tried the older version other people have suggested. I even did the resync apps on there with no success. I'm wondering if it's Marshmallow that's doing this or am I just oblivious and noob-like. My experience is that I've rooted every android I've had with ease.

I'm not aware that GMail installs an app on an Android Wear watch, it uses Wear-enabled notifications (to allow for replying from the watch). If Hangouts has not been updated on the phone since pairing the 360, Hangouts may not have installed the Android Wear component. Perhaps uninstalling updates from Hangouts and then reinstalling them will trigger the Android Wear component install. I'm not familiar with GroupMe.

I think you're right. Only certain apps are actually on the watch itself. It appears that most things are only notified. I have found 3rd party apps that you can scroll through things like twitter and gmail. I uninstalled and reinstalled Hangouts with no luck. I guess I'll have to just do without. Working well so far though. Guess I can't fully replace my phone with the watch, but I'm loving it.

Yeah, like sfringer said, Gmail doesn't have an Android Wear specific app. You'll only get new message notifications from Google Now. If you think some apps haven't synced to the watch correctly you can open the Android Wear app on your phone, navigate to the settings menu for the Moto 360 and select "Resync Apps" to resync all available Android Wear apps to your Moto

[Guide][Fix] Fix for no notifications and apps not syncing to device

So, with the recent update to Wear OS on my mobile phone I have found that I wasn't receiving notifications any more. I figured it was something to do with app referencing to the old Android wear instead of the newer Wear OS app on my phone. I reset my phone/watch and from that point it all went horribly wrong. I could no longer transfer apps to my watch (Strava, Keep, Spotify, etc) and notifications would not appear on my device.
THE FIX
1) Remove the Wear OS app from your phone and download Android Wear from UpToDown.com.
2) Download the most recently archived version (2.7.0.177669439) and install it (Enable Unknown sources in settings).
3) Open the Play Store app and go to "My Apps and Games" and find the "Wear OS" app update and open the app store page. Select the triple dot menu from the top right of the screen and uncheck "Enable auto-update".
4) Pair your phone and watch again, giving some time for all apps to sync and reinstall.
I've only just completed this myself and so far everything is starting to come back up on my watch like before. You may need to go into settings and tell the app to resync all apps to watch again, but hopefully this has fixed any issues people are having of late like I have been.

I wasn't getting any notifications on my watch. So I tried wiping my watch and setting it up again and found it would never sync apps back to the watch. So I rolled back to using Android wear which immediately fixed the issue of the apps not syncing. A positive side effect of doing so allowed me to get notifications again.

I did that and now I have notifications but apps don't syncing. During parring it hangs on ninth app and goes to the main screen. Resync all apps don't work

Same problem here, fresh install and my watch is missing almost all installed apps : keep is present bu not working, google map is missing, ...

my sony smartwatch 3 don't syncing my apps!!! I've factory-reset the watch and phone multiple times. I've cleared the cache for Google Play Service, Wear OS. Notifications (such as text messages) work just fine, but I don't see third party apps in the smartwatch

Hi, the reason is that new android apps have suppport for wear os 2.0 (wich has a kind of playstore for companion app installation) only, and dropped wear os 1.6 support.

I think you must install old apps for the time of the watch was available. I still have a SW3 and a G-Watch with Android 1.5 and I must keep often old app to have the app on the watch. Often, if I update the phone 3rd app this app stay on watch (not updated) but often continu to works on watch.
You must also force the "sync" in Wear advanced settings and more than one time I have the app installed on the watch only after 3 days........

Hi, I was on the same problem, you need to update your google play service up to the 20.xx versión, via usb, try the 15 second adb installer, download google play service (wear os) on apk mirror, use the install adb command
