And if I do the same on the homescreen wallpaper it sets it so cropped like this?

That image is 2560x1600. I tried doing the same with Nova as well, same result. What's the optimal resolution for landscape? 2560x1600 would be for a fixed one, so I imagined 5120x1600 would do the job for a scrolling wallpaper, but nope, it won't let me select that much area.
Which model?

Tab S 10.5. Well the resolution is the same, so I didn't think it was a necessary detail.
8.4 is 1600 x 2560
10.5 is 2560 x 1600
The two devices have a different 'default' for landscape mode, have you tried flipping the image through 90 degrees and see if it makes a difference?
That's just how it is which I find sad. Even if you get a wallpaper with the right resolution for this device it still won't occupy the way it should on portrait mode but only on landscape mode and I'm not really sure why, I guess it's a touch wiz thing or a Samsung issue.

haha. thats the image i use for my startup screen. (well.... sorta) sorry though, mine is a .gif image that's been edited to read "Windows Mobile Is Starting Up...."

really all you need to do is find the large version of this wallpaper, edit it on your pc to scale to 240X320 and change the file name to the .jpg file name you want.
use can use any editing program but you can use the most simplest program like MS paint use the option stretch/skew and reduce the size until the attributes show 240 px by 320 px.
here's a link to one image you may want to try editing; http://farm1.static.flickr.com/171/414469897_a3b4f09f63.jpg
Edit: Here. I took that image and edited it fo you for 240X320 resolution. Hopefully this is that you're looking for.
I've changed the LCD density on my phone recently, and everything seems OK except for the HTC Sense 3 lockscreen, which doesn't seem to have scaled properly.

I was wondering if anyone here knew of anything I can do to get it to scale properly
Any help would be appreciated!
I think you would need to use the tools available to re jig the screen size for the lockscreen (M100 or whatever it is called), I had this problem with the "Lense" style on CM7 when i changed to 180

I've been searching around for tools like that, but can't find any! Searching for M100 doesn't come up with anything
I think its an M10 tool that requires a decent set of programming knowledge (or at least it did when I last heard of it)
So I'm running gravity box which gives me the option to set a lock screen wallpaper but I cant find a good program to crop the image so it shows the full image.. Any suggestions?

You wanna be able to just crop and center the picture to portrait? In full resolution?
Could download Gimp and you can save as JPG with lowest compression. Otherwise you can upload the image and I'll do it for ya.. But Gimp is a free photoshop alternative and will certainly do the job well. Crop and paste to your tablet.
edit: - Remember to set the aspect ratio to 1200x1920 to begin with, when you fix the ratio it will scale the image (if it is too small or too big, so you can drag and scale the image to a higher or lower resolution but it will still keep the proportions in order to display the image you cropped to fit the lockscreen. Don't worry about the resolution changing below in "size", as long as you don't over-scale the image too much it will still look rather clear just don't use way too small images.)

Hi guys,
I'm not sure if I'm the only one having this problem, but when my phone switches from the main photo sensor to the super macro, there is a clear difference. There is a shift and the colors are not the same.
Here a video to show the problem :/

Same moment, same distance but two photos very different :
the first one is the main camera, and second one is the super macro. The switch is not natural

It's a different camera on the phone isn't it? The switch would be expected. The phone isn't doing everything with just one camera/lens.

This is correct. Super macro mode uses the ultra wide camera. Every 'zoom level' in super macro mode just crops image from the ultra wide camera.
The difference would not be too noticeable? Especially in terms of colors and angle!
Sorry to ask about screen resolution problem. I found some APP display unfit with the inner screen. For example, instagram cannot display the whole picture. Or the APP will display very large and ugly.
I had try to amend the DPI to 850 in developer mode, or amended by adb shell wm size 2400x3840. But it doesn't help at all.
May I ask any method to fix the screen unfit problem? Or only can be fixed by the APP developer?

use the customize app aspect ratios option. It can be found in Settings-advanced features-labs.

It seems like that only method is to set the APP to 16:9, but it will become a little ugly under the inner screen...

I get this when I click on installation in the aspect ratio settings. Change to full screen and it will work better.
