Hello guys. I've a HTC One X, of which the center of the screen sometimes gets unresponsive, depending on how I tilt it. When laying on its back the whole center does not respond, when holding it only the right center does not.

Is the Problem known? Did anyone have it and is there any solution except for replacing the digitizer?
Thanks in advance

Click to collapse
it seems to be broken... you should replace the digitizer...
So it looks like I can throw the device away, because a new screen costs as much as the phone is worth... ? Isn't there any other solution? Anyone?

Hi all.
I bought the p3300 about 4 months ago in Prague.
2 weeks ago a problem started, as the display appears awkward.
the touch screen still working, and so does all the functions,
but the screen appears white.
i sent it to a lab, but they didn't know how to fix it.
(no HTC repair center in Israel.)

what should I do? should I buy a new LCD screen and install it?
another q - is it recommended to install new ROM in order to have more program memory?
thank you.
Ronny
anyone? please?
U should check cable LCD-to-systemboard.... If you have no warranty
i have warranty but it's invalid in Israel, as HTC has no representatives here.
sending it to europe will cost as buying a new LCD.
anyway, i checked the cables and they seem fine... though i don't have spare ones to replace...
So here's the deal.
One day, I dropped my defy "accidentally" inside a water closet. I put it up high in the shelves and suddenly it drops down to the closet.
now the left part of the screen is unable to be touched anymore. as could be seen in the screenshot below. the green areas are the ones that are broken

as this is a surely hardware problem, are there any other solutions than:
a. buy a new LCD screen (hard to find)
b. buy a new phone
thanks for the help guys
bump..........
Sorry
Since it is a hardware problem, I can't think of any other solution besides purchasing another LCD/phone. I'm sorry.
That said, I have put my defy underwater many times. The touch screen stop working when wet, but I had no issues with it once it dried. Maybe the problem was from the impact?
Recently dropped my GT-I9195. Surprisingly from about 2 feet onto hardwood floor while in a case, must have just hit it right because the screen stopped working.
After getting the replacement part, following and double checking the disassembly tutorials available online, everything except the Menu & Back buttons is working. Home button works perfectly, just not the other two, no response and no light on either.
Has anyone replaced the screen/digitizer in the past and knows what I might be missing. Any help would be great. Thanks!

Look at flex tape at left, down side of screen. It is responsible for buttons but I don't remember is it only for home or all 3 buttons. Anyway if it's connected and You didn't teared or broke this flex tape You can't fix it without tearing apart whole screen. Just ask for replace whole screen part for new one without damages.
I bought my LG G3 in February 2016. The phone was good until September this year. First problem which appeared was fading screen but I was fixing it several times it with paper trick, then putting a piece of cardboard under CPU etc.. Yesterday, the blue screen of death appeared on the screen and I fixed it by putting the motherboard in the oven. It worked for 4 hours, then phone "died" again. I repeated procedure with oven, and phone turn on again. But now right half of screen displaying vertical multicolored lines. Any suggestion how to fix that? Is it a hardware of software problem ?
And I learnt something. I WILL NEVER BUY AGAIN ANY LG DEVICE. PIECE OF ****.
P.S. Sorry for my bad English.

a few days I have the same problem, the sure thing is that, there is no damage to the screen
I have a Note 2014 without a customer rom. It did run fine without problems. Suddenly I had a pink background color out of nowhere. Then I tried to restart. I can see the first Samsung text during start and then it becomes black. I can repeat this but apart from Samsung starting text nothing happens...
after a while it started but the colors are still strange... what can this be?

Hi there,
Don't worry. I am almost sure this is the ribbon of the LCD that moved. It is a common issue with this tablet. Mine was "broken" 3 weeks ago after 4 years of usage. The fix is freaking simple. It took me literally less than 10 minutes. Take the back off, and plug the LCD ribbon back in its connector and put some tape on it so it stays firmly in place. You have plenty of post on the internet showing how to fix in detail. I had no issue since then.
Cheers
Laurent
