the only reason i don't want extended covers because my cases would be rendered useless.. but i will look around to see what I can find.
Shoot a link if you can find one it will be useful since I suffer from same thing and using extended case for 3000mah
Sorry man, form over function. If you're that concerned, get extra stocks and swap 'em
I've bought a 3200 maH NFC Linkdream Battery but when on the phone, the battery discharges faster than original.

Any batteries thats standard size rated higher than 2300mah will probably be false
Ive heard good things about Zero Lemon 2300mah batteries, and ive ordered 2 pack from amazon, will see how i get on with them
Most battery are worst than original battery, no matter what size

so guys which is the best battery that will give extra mah ? , please suggest me one that u hav tryed ?
i think the most trusted non-original battery is the RAVPower 2250mA.
i also suggest an external battery (i bought the 14k mAh one by rav power), about 5-6 cycles of charges for our s3
A number of posters on another forum (link lost) reported being satisfied with the KINPS EB-L1G6LLU, and I recently picked one up from eBay, though XDA rules prevent me form posting the link.
It's standard size for an i9300, claims 3250mAh and is lasting quite a bit better than the standard battery I replaced. No LTE though.

Just wanted to report in with my experience of these large capacity batteries.
I purchased 2 of them along with a generic external charger and they are far better than the stock ones.
Currently been going for 48 hours and still at 25%. I was struggling to get 12 hours out of the stock battery.
They seem like reasonable quality and for around 10AUD each they are decent value. They fit under the stock cover too which is a bonus.
Anyone else using these?

Sounds suspicious. 3 posts advertising a battery w/o any detailed information? Post some pics with the battery in your sgs2 and also post screenshots of your battery stats.

I bought 1 too, thinking it was only a stock battery or a cheaper one with beautiful wrapping and it surprised me. Last way much longer than usual one and yes it fit under stock cover.

Thanks for this info ! Would you post some pictures of the battery itself and some of usage stats , please ?
Most likely it is fake. Recently I bought 'gold' battery for my old SE K800 from ebay. Printed capacity on label was almost double than original battery but in fact real capacity was half of original. So, returned to seller and lost shipping costs only.
Unfortunately physics is in full force for batteries: at the moment larger capacity can be achieved only by more or larger sells!!!
I'm actually MORE than happy with original Samsung 2000MAh battery. I would NEVER put a fake or low quality battery close to my face.

Well that confirms all these uprated batteries are in fact rubbish with the exception of the much larger 3500mah one and even that was nowhere near the stated 3500mah rating
The gold batteries from Ebay are all fake. Don't waste your time. Peel off the gold cover, under it, you'll find an under powered rating.this batteries have already been discussed at xda over and over with picture evidences to show they are fake. Go buy a jaguar for 10 bucks and tell me it's real.

I just bought one from ebay too. A gold 2450 mAh battery.
After I received it I put it in the mobile and battery snap from the market tells me the same remaining time as the stock 1650 mAh battery.. Then I peeled off the gold wrapper and underneath I found this inprint "HD504655AR 11K08NF1650".. 1650 ?? Strange coincidence ...
I opend a case with ebay requesting my money back because this looks like a fraud. I'll have to wait several days for it to close, but I will tell you how it ended...
I can only tell you that I should have read the posts here about the "gold" batteries.. Damn fakes!
Ok, so can anyone tell me how to identify a genuine Samsung battery?
My phone came with a battery that looks almost identical to eBay item 110825200405, except that mine says "Finished in Vietnam" and the recycle symbol is a bit different.
The supposedly genuine batteries on eBay (e.g. eBay item 140704498924) look quite different.
I got my phone from Orange/Partner in Israel and I'm wondering if they are using cheap aftermarket batteries to save money. Anyway, I want to buy a spare but I want to make sure that I'm getting my moneys worth for a battery that has the actual marked capacity and that will last.
Thanks.
Glad to trade abt the gold batteries here. I was abt to use a pair for myself
"Gold Batteries"
Bump.
I was about to post a big thing with a battery log that I kept for the first 5 charges of my new "Gold" battery along with how unimpressed I was and that it didnt seem any better than my stock 1250mAh. The new battery was supposedly 2450mAh. after reading the post 2 posts above mine I decided to remove the gold foil to look at the stamps on mine. I see nothing to indicate the mAh capacity on mine but after using it for a month I can say for sure that it is no better than my stock battery. I am not going to file it with ebay or anything but it sure seems like there are a lot of fakes out there. Mine came from Ghuang Dong china or something like that... lol. Anyway I only paid 6.99$ with no shipping and have a functional spare battery now so, oh well. Lesson learned. Figured I'd give my 2 cents.

my 2 bits worth
Just got the ebay GOLD (haha) battery as well but paid like 4 bux for it - FWIW it seems to hold a charge longer though it charges lightning fast which leads me to believe that it is indeed not 2450mah
After having done a bit of research, mah is a tricky thing to verify - can be done with a multimeter BUT there is a device called a battery-analyzer that does the trick. So these ppl that sell the possibly fraud batteries have tapped a great market: people (mostly) without the gear or know-how to check the quality of the goods!
regardless i needed a second battery so no loss for me. Now if it explodes or something I will report here first and I will not leave my 5star feedback for the "gold battery people" just yet
UPDATE
***so the gold battery performance is incredibly poor - last less and less time with each charge***
I'd advise anyone to absolutely not bother with one of these

the 2000mah is a bit bigger (that is why it needs a new cover plate)
I have an 1800mah (also a bit bigger) but fits nicely in the phone.
I have one of those HongDa Power 3600mAh extended batteries for the Galaxy Nexus GSM... I'm a noob so I can't post a link to it, but they sell them as "hongdapower799" on ebay.
It's a 3600mAh extended battery for the GNex GSM version made by some company in Hong Kong. Battery Monitor Widget Pro estimates it between 2600-2750mAh, which is a nice, big improvement. I definitely notice an increase in life. It sucks that we can't get the Seidio 3800 battery with GSM, but at least we have something.
Does anyone else have one of these? What kinds of estimated mAh values do you get in Battery Monitor Widget?
Oh yeah... Also, has anyone tested this battery out with the Seidio extended Surface case designed for use with their 3800mAh battery? I ordered one and I'll test it out and post the results here, but if anyone has tried this and failed, I'll just send it back without opening it, lol.
I can't find this Hongda Power battery.
Here is the ebay listing for the battery:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-3600mAh...Nexus-Google-Galaxy-Nexus-i9250-/260921234182
And here is the listing for the Seidio case:
http://www.seidioonline.com/samsung-galaxy-nexus-surface-extended-case-black-p/csr2ssgnlx2-bk.htm
I have confirmed that the Seidio case is indeed a PERFECT fit with the phone containing the Chinese battery. Like PERFECT. And the battery is consistently rated at over 2600mAh. Not only that, the battery was a replacement for another one I got from HongDa which didn't have great capacity. The guy sent me another without charge. This combo is definitely recommended for anyone who wants to get more battery life on a budget!

So, if I understand you correctly, you got a battery with really poor capacity followed by good customer service and a replacement battery that consistantly achieves ~70% of it's rated capacity. And this qualifies for a high recomendation.
I'm not suggesting anything bad (or even out of the ordinary) regarding this seller or this battery, but I think that as consumers we've become far too accepting of battery shenanigans all around.

Just curious. How did you determine that it is rated at ~2600mAH (which is 25% of what it is advertised at) ?
Can someone please give me link to best battarey with the same size as the original? (I need better battery that can work for more time..)
Thanks!
I just ordered an Anker battery from amazon. People say it's one of the best batteries without added bulk. Which means, better battery, same size.
At £9.99, it's really a no-brainer.
Regards,

Read the recent pages with regards to Anker. Apparently it has been tested to be of equal capacity. You should try getting the original 1650mah battery. They are rather cheap now.
Anker battery quite good

You get what you pay for, I pay for a warranty I can trust as cheap batteries are too dangerous.

I looked on their site and only found a 2200mAh battery, the bigger ones are double sized with the retrofit back plate.
Stock battery is only 2100mAh, so the Anker one isn't that much better =/
If the battery fits inside the standard back plate then it is the same capacity (or even less) as the standard battery, it's physically impossible for it to be any greater. Any advert saying a higher capacity for the same size is lying, so avoid.
Main point about the Anker is having two batteries, so you charge outside the phone and always have a fully charged spare to hand.

I'm not going to question ur knowledge about this, but how can u have different mAh "AA" batteries, that are all the same size in that case??
I don't want to have to carry around a second battery with me all the time, this is why I was looking at different bigger capacity batteries =/
You can buy AA batteries in many different forms, alkaline, NiCad, Li-ion etc. Each has a different power density, with Li-ion being the highest. Standard S3 batteries are already the highest density so can't be bettered, if it were that easy then Samsung would have already done it.
The only way to get more capacity is to increase the physical dimensions, don't take my word for it try Wikipedia.

I've found the zerolemon 2300mAh batteries on eBay, HERE and I have also done some web searches about them, they look pretty good and I haven't found any bad reviews. 200mAh bigger than stock, and tested to be that capacity too, so must be true. I'm thinking of going for these, will just have to get a US to UK plug adaptor to go with the charger, lol.

? No, you weren't at all rude -I wouldn't suggest anyone accept 'internet advise' without cross checking it against something else.
The batteries you've chosen have a modest claim for capacity so are probably genuine. Only drawbacks are the limited warranty and return postage, if ever required. The desktop battery charger I have looks identical, plugs into a standard micro usb charger so you might not need an adaptor.
Has anyone ever tried the momax battery ?

Hi, not sure if you are still in need of them, but if you are (or anyone else that happens along), I ordered this deal from amazon and they work great. You get (2) iPossible batteries & a wall charger unit too. That's handy when you don't want to keep charging the batteries through your V20.

Really ? I use perfine battery and i buy second for my mom, its best battery for this phone I still think so.
All other batteries that I bought before did not have the declared capacity, and had a capacity often even worse OEM batteries.
Perhaps hyperyon is good batterys, I do not know, I do not buy a battery with the back cover because I think the phone looks terribly with these back covers.

I picked up a couple of Perfine 4100mah units from Aliexpress and so far, so good! Way more SOT than the standard batteries, about £27 for the pair.
Just picked up a perfine 4100 because of recommendations and stock cover fit. I just found some documentation about only using either stock LG charger which I believe I've read is quick charge 1 rated or only max 2 amp charger on anything that is considering off brand or generic. Now my conundrum is I have a bunch of QC3 chargers that I've used exclusively till this point and I really don't want to start trying to find older chargers to use as I don't have the original LG charger either.
Has anyone used this battery with QC rated chargers without issues or does anyone know if their is a way to restrict charging rate on the V20 through software? I know there is the thermal-8996 file you can edit to change the charging speed for charging when screen is on

I got this battery this week. It last way longer than stock. It's brought New Life to my v20. It seems to last longer than an extra 1000mah would seem to last, plus it fits with no issues. I had a Hyperion 3300 mah battery that was harder to put the back cover back on than this. I am very impressed.
