This is weird, I suggest you to install 'advance battery calibration' from playstore. 1st full charge the battery then open battery calibration app and follow the steps. After that, use the device at least 2 full cycle. If problem remains, come back here and report. Best of luck.
Try another battery . Most probably your battery is dead .

Hi all,
I'm on ddjp6 rooted.
Battery stand by is good.
But during using internet, fully charged battery expires in just 20 minutes or less...
The phone immediatly shuts down after showing low battery warning. (in 5 seconds)
Is this a rom problem?
Because I think on official eclair , the battery was good.
Can a custom rom solve this?
Please suggest me...
Thanks in advance...

By internet you mean wifi or 3G? I have the same problem, just with mobile data, though. Don't know how to fix it... Anybody has a solution?

I use Indroid [email protected] ROM and my battery lasts quite a long time

How old is your battery ?
This may be indication of battery is about to get worse and die
During stand-by battery doesn't needs much power so it sustains standby.
A new battery should be around 500/599INR. at samsung service center.
My battery is 20 months old, but still lasts for 3-4 days easily.
I'm using Custom OC ROM.
Drain battery to "0" and charge it continuously for 3-4 hours, keeping phone switched off. Do this once a month. This fixes problem.
If u've rooted then do battery calibration...
Hello,
My battery expires in one day with 3G only activate... If you want to use 3G all the time like me,'re trying to install a firewall (avast mobile for example) to choose only the apps that need to communicate on the internet... Thank you for keeping me informed...

Yeah I am planning to change my battery.I hope the new one will give better Battery life. Can u suggest me any good battery? Is there any other alternate battery or is it advisable to take at samsung service center.
Okay, is it possible my battery for my One V is already going bad only 5 months into owning it? Over the past 2-3 weeks my battery has NEVER reached a full 100% charge unless I reboot it, otherwise it get's stuck at a certain percentage until a reboot. Then about 2 days ago I started to notice severe battery drain with incorrect percentage reading, my phone would literally lose like 5% every 30 minutes. And it would drain to 0 really fast but when I reboot it owuld only be a like 50%, then it would drain real fast again, i'd reboot and it may be at 40%, and this is continuing to happen.
So is my battery just going bad?
If u are rooted, wipe battery stats in recovery..... It might help.... And also, if rooted, which rom are u using.....????+ check your overclock....
I have tried battery wiping, it hasn't helped, I am using Code Fire X and I am OC'ed but i run it on SavageZen so it's almost always underclocked.
PrimoC????
Ask the rom developer about it then.... He might be able to help u bettet...

first wipe your battery stats from recovery and wipe dalvik cache then install battery calibration and charge the battery up to 100% then let it go until it become show zero % remaining then charge your battery and check the performance
You must be joking. The issue is with misplacement of battery. Remove the battery somehow and wipe the contacts and replace it

Remove battery???? i guess We can't!!!! Its inbuilt....:what::what:
Simon has said that he's still working on getting the battery kernel modules working correctly on the CFX ROM. I would probably try a different JB ROM to see if it's really your battery, or just the ROM.
It's a 4.2.2 update there is got be bugs....so u have to manage for a while

its not posible to calibrate a xperia s(L) battery , it auto calibrates, if you use battery calibaration apps, it just deletes a important file, (which may have ruined your battery)
i suggest keep letting your battery go to 0% then charing to 100% , the battery will calbrate its self

It might not be an issue; when you turned off your screen, battery was being eaten away and when the screen is turned on it shows the change at that time. Similar stuff happens to the clock.
If you have messed with any system files I suggest you perform a factory reset.

hasn't happened to me yet. You'd better let the battery discharge completely once and charge it fully. Then see if it works or not
Apart from enoromous readings battery works fine.

stock or cm or aosp rom?
Stock 4.1.2
i didn't have that on stock only on cm and aosp
Heeeeey I started to notice this on my stock rom 4.1.2 yesterday after reading your thread :| But you can be sure that it's not a problem since I've bought my g last week so it can't be because of your battery age. It's natural. I think it's impossible to show the correct and exact battery percentage in any OS. To test, you can let your battery discharge to the end and you'll see that the end is sometimes 3 percent (the device goes off when it has 3 percent or more left) and sometimes you get 0 percent but the device is on Maybe that's why percentage is off by default.
I contacted LG and they said it's normal. Is it normal?

What's the top in battery usage? Sounds like you're getting network issues (low/lost signal and such). Should probably make sure your APNs are perfectly matching your carrier's.
Also, what is your usual screen on time?

Usage on battery : 59 mins
ETR : +2h 31min
Last 3 h in use : 24%

Cell Standby : 14%
Android System 7%
Mediaserver 5%
Android OS 5%
i dont have a sim on my g3 atm but its an unlocked version
screen on time is probably very short since i only have facebook messenger installed on my g3 , and i've set the screen tme out 15 secs
Try to check your network signals...
Try switching from 4g to 3g or wcdma
Also check wifi signals and that APN which is mentioned earlier,
Then try to hard reset your phone.

Hence why I think it's a problem with the battery. But it's possible that it's a system problem that only flashing stock would fix. It's a shot in the dark though.
