Hello,
can you please help me bring my LG G2 D802 back to life?
I had problems with GPS on LG G2 D802 4.4.2 so i tried to go to 4.2.2.I had some experiences with flashing from previous phones so I though I will be able to perform also this one.
I followed http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2797190.
I stopped on 61% on mobile and 53% on tool. Then i used official LG tool, to recovery, but it stopped on 31% or so. Then i used different FW - with this i could get on 100% mobile - but only 89% on LG flash tool. Then I download official LG firmware according IMEI, but unfortunatelly I was again not successful and was not able to get into download menu. When i connected my phone to PC, i got many pop up windows asking to format many various disk on phone.I was not able to get into recovery mode to perform HW reset.
So i decided to to use instructions from: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2582142 with help of mine who is Linux expert.
After this I again get only LG logo when i start phone, and im able to go to recovery mode. I also can start HW reset, but it is doing nothing, just showing: performing hw reset. When I connect phone to PC even that it is switched off (it looks like that) it starts and stop on LG logo, but PC cannot see it. Also it sems, it cannot be found under linux as well.
Please help me.
Thank you very much
Tomas

My Question: What Am I Doing Wrong?
The Problem:
Yesterday I decided I wanted to Install MIUI 5 on my LG G3 (AT&T, D850). Not realizing that MIUI Doesn't suppport my phone's variant (D850), I proceeded to accidentally install the International version on my phone. (Which is model D855 and Replaced my kernel with the International variant.) When I tried booting it up, all i got was 10 Minutes of the "LG" logo, then a Kernel Panic.
Not worrying about it too much, I knew i had all the tools necessary to Re-Flash stock Firmware.
Wrong.
When I tried re-installing the D850 firmware, I got "Download Failed."
Still not too worried, I decided to download the International Version .tot file, and try flashing that.
This time I got further, but After it reached 6%, I got "Download Failed" again because of a "Partition Change Fa..." (It's cut off, But i'm assuming that last word is 'Fail')
((This "Download Failed" came just after "LAF: Bin_User_mode", If that helps in any way.))
I have no idea what to do. I tried uisng the .kdz Method also, but It failed and then I realized that I was using the LG G2's .KDZ File. Is it worth downloading the .KDZ File for the LG G3 and Trying again?
Please Help!
Thanks! :good:

more info is better than none, what did you do to "accidentally brick" your phone? and if you are stuck in download mode you could try the lg mobile support tool and re load the rom for your device.

READ completely, including the link in 4 before starting!!!
download the tool using the lg d851, under t-mobile. the tool is generic, and can be found at lg.com under support/downloads
1. install LG Mobile Support Tool
2. run Tool, it will query lg for updates and do so if needed.
3. Install USB Driver (dismiss if you have done so already)
4. follow this process: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=51268802&postcount=21 (use 5. below to put into download mode, not vol up and down like the link states)
5. with your device off, hold the volume up button while plugging in your USB cable with the Tool open.
6 you system will recognize the device and configure drivers, this will take a minute.
7. continue following the link in 4.
I ran into the same problem and now i'm stuck in downloadmode!
Does this method work? Or is there any other fix yet?
Thanks in advance!

no i did not fix mine yet i am on tmobile am not sure if they will consider return am still within retun policy
hey guys, don't ask for a different fix if you don't bother to explain how your phone got stuck in download mode. as for does this work? Why don't you try, it's the same tool used to upgrade firmwares instead of using OTA, and the link included shows how to get the tool to download the file (if it sees the same/current f/w it does not download the firmware) and you have nothing to loose, and this method is often used to recover from "soft bricking" your phone.
i was restoring my LG G3 to stock through the lg flash tool .....when i got through with it and restore was succesfull. somehow i forget the usb cable plugged through my pc usb port ...then connected my lg g4 that is where the flash tool got my Lg g4 on Downloade mode ....i tried all the methodes somehow i think the recovery is messed up .....i can get to the recovery through the button but it reboot straight to the download mode ....thanks every one for their support

don't think it's out yet, however my statement was somewhat incoherent. I meant to say if he had the kdz, he could use the flash tool to recover his phone.

Yea, at this point there no way to fix this without a kdz that I know of.
Call LG and tell them you need the kdz to restore your G4.
i was lucky, i had flashed twrp before my phone soft brick..
Sent from my unlocked and rooted LG-H815
I got an LG G4 which is stuck on lg screen. When I put it in download mode, it shows download mode for a few seconds and restarts. I was trying to flash ZVB over ZVD and it ended up like this. Model is ls991 . Any help would be really appreciated!
Anyone got any idea? The whole thing started with getting rid of the Genisys rom ... I did not like it ... I thought I was going to bring it back to the stock, but then LG Up wrote an unkown device ... I thought it was flash with lg bridge ... that's what I lost. .. has removed recovery and has stopped updating at 16% ... since then it is only download mode I tried to update but failed with all three programs ... LG up to start - unkown device, LG bridge stop at 16% , LG Falsh Tool 9% ... sorry for my english
Hi guys I'm a newbie here and this is my first time posting.
I was trying to flash stock on my LG G3 but I made a really really stupid mistake. I used the flashtool found over here at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2799647 but I had used the wrong tot file. Now my phone is stuck in download mode. I don't think my phone is hard bricked because it still boots up but only to the download mode no matter what I press. I also can't access my custom recovery now. I have tried flashing with kdz file for my phone using the LG Flash tool 2014 but on the LG Mobile Support Tool the progress bar goes up to 10/11% during the s/w update and I get an error after waiting for half an hour and the progress bar on my phone's firmware update screen only goes up by 2% at most. I can't find the tot file for my phone version to flash with so I'm stuck here. Help please?

hi , i have the same problem.
Did you try to flash the correct .tot file again?
Check the logs for the error which is generated from LG flash tool 2014.
May be you have cross D/L error due to wrong tot file flash.
Hi guys, I have a problem with my LG G3, on the back it says D855, but imei shows LS990. I tried to restore to stock rom via both KDZ and TOT... Through the TOT it told me that D855 version doesn't match and cancelled. I read somewhere to put a different .dll file that the guy send, so I tried.. didn't work out either. So i tried KDZ, restored to D85520A, everything went well, but when the phone loaded it said ,,Wrong version of android" or smthing like that. The phone is bought in Czech Republic, found out a KDZ file "Czecho" D85510A, so I tried that and I'm stuck at bootloop again Can't get to download mode, factory reset doesn't seem to do anything and PC cannot see the phone, so what can I do? Thx for any advice ) PS: Phone has it's moods, sometimes it goes to download mode, but mostly not.
And I have to say that LGMobile Support Tool shows LS990 too.
