i have super cid and s-off locked boatloader ... using fastboot to update firmware ...after it successfully done, reboot the phone stuck on the welcome screeng htc green logo ... while the phone is working and someone call me and i can answer it while the screen stuck on that logo !!!!! i have bricked my phone or what ??? plz help me
What ROM?
And what version firmware? 2.x or 3.x?
i have t-mobile stock 4.4.3 software rom on an unbranded international version because i want the stock ruu, didn't find it so i download the t-mobile ruu,,, seems wired !! but i want to go viper one rom, so start with update fimware .. download it then install it via fastboot,,, then after reboot my mobile stuck on the white screen with green htc logo !!!!
You didn't answer the question of what firmware, and where did you get it (link it if you can).
Also, the title for your thread is close to useless. Its a Help forum section. So obviously everyone posting wants help. And your case is no more or less urgent than anyone elses. Try more descriptive thread titles to help keep the forum better organized, such as "Phone not booting after firmware update" or something to that effect. It may also help attract more attention by others that have the same issue, or have a solution.
the link is here from xda site >>> http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/development/progress-fuu-m8-t2813792
i was running 2.X firmware want to update to 3.32.531.2 ... one thing when i connent my phone the htc sync manager show am currently using 2.22.531.6
while screen continue about 1 hour till now with white background and htc green logo !!!
So you flashed 3.x firmware, while still on 2.x stock ROM? You might have a mismatch between the ROM and the firmware.
Try flashing a different ROM, like Viper.
Also, boot into bootloader and tell me what it says for hboot and radio numbers.
man i cant go anywhere ,,, the screen stuck if am on bootloader or whatever where i am ... i turned it off worked and then open it again the screen stuck again
even if i go to bootloader !!!
Power + volume up...if it reboot hold volume down

I'd be looking at a fault attempt to root or flash a new ROM. I assume you don't know the software version that was originally on the handset by chance?
he was running neo latest vol 8 and s-off.......think he was trying to return to stock ....latest hboot..93
just tried rnning fastboo commander and it says he is s-on and non eng hboot, if that helps
So you don't know the original HTC ROM version he was on?
it was ....2.10 before he rooted and flashed custom rom
If it was 2.10.405.2 then you can get the RUU and get back to stock. Download it from here:
http://shipped-roms.com/download.ph...00.32U_5.09.05.30_2_release_142828_signed.exe
To use this, turn the phone on holding the back button and it should boot to FASTBOOT. Connect to your PC and once the screen says FASTBOOT USB (and once Windows has installed the drivers) run the file. It will get your Desire back to stock
*** There is a chance you were on the Vodafone version, 2.10.161.2, if you got the Desire from them. If so, you currently can't get that ROM ***

Hi,
I have a serious problem and I could not fix it with anything I tried. Today I had the notification of the official 2.3 update for desire hd. I dowloaded it then the phone is stuck at the htc logo. I tried from bootloder to make factory reset recovery and also tried to flash some roms in fastboot mode.
None of them worked.
My first choice is to get back to 2.2 froyo, but I would like to hear recommendations about custom roms, especially if you have any rom advice wihch can increase battery life etc. I am not an expert in flashing roms however I can also consider for a custom rom in the light of your suggestions. Please help it would be much appreciated.
Regards...
is there anyone who as some comments??
Hello, that sounds rubbish Had you been running a custom ROM before? What network are you on?
got the same problem here too http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=14568001&postcount=12
thanks a lot but in this thread it says that it can not be downgraded if it is 2.37 or higher when i have tried to flash a rom i see that the it is currently 2.37.720.3.
Do you there might be also another way??
somebody please help, i am really stuck and can not find any solution, i started to think the phone will be brick. isnt there any suggestion...
and no one has tried the 2.36 RUU!? (stop trying the PD98IMG's off the SD)
i also tried to flash 2.36 up to 2.37 it also did not work....

Use the RUU and your pc to downgrade it to 2.36, it should work regardless of what you have on your phone.
first of all thanks for your comments.
let me tell you what i have done step by step.
ifound the rom below name specified.
RUU_Ace_Gingerbread_S_HTC_WWE_2.36.405.8_R_Radio_12.54.60.25_26.09.04.11_M2_release_187331_signed
i enter the bootlodaer because i can not get anywhere else. i plug in the usn then select "fastboot" and it show fastboot usb.
then i run the ruu from pc it starts to flash ( it shows current version 2.37.720.3 and will 2.36. etc. )
then black screen with white htc logo comes but nothing moves further and at the end i get the " Custome ID Error "
i do not know may be i am using the wrong rom if you can please provide another link to another rom or may be a different solution with a custom rom...
i am really stuck at this.
thanks in advance...
Customer ID error normally means you need a goldcard
www.addictivetips.com/mobile/how-to-make-gold-card-for-htc-desire-hd/
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA Premium App
thanks for yor suggestion i will definetly try it and give results.
but please excuse my lack of knowledge, according to the instructions i have to use " gold card helper " via phone. my phone is now unusable. i have one android hd2 do you i can create the goldcard on hd2 according to the desire hd setting s and use it on desire hd????
thanks again...
i tried the godlcard solution but now it gave the error 140 bootloader version.
the only thing different than the steps it says chosee mmc2 value but on the goldcard helper i only saw mmc1 and i have sent the e-mail according to that...
what should i do?
does anyone has any suggestion??
since now the bootloader is pooched, you've pretty much bricked the device unless you can get your hands on the original ruu that your carrier uses.
Just from the day i bought my htc desire ,
it sometimes switched off and does a bootloop . cant fix until i remove the battery
TOday i tried to flash the earlier 2.2 RUU as told in
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1275632
thread.(because i cnt access recovery from bootloader).
Bt when rom is flashing it showed an error that this rom is not compatible.
Then phone showed that black screen with 4 warning triangles. From then no other screen apears.
(Flasing 2.3.3 again also didnt work)
Please tel me a way to flash a new shipped rom.??????????????????????

Please use search button or read before posting
Did you make a goldcard? and get a newest RUU from http://htcdev.com/devcenter/downloads
You can't flash anything with s-on. You need s-off before flashing.
Does S-Off void warranty?
Do i can fix this after S-OFF. Does it void warranty?

CAn i fix this issue or does my phone is bricked???
The issue
I tried to install back the 2.2 version as said in the link u mentioned. (From earlier i wasnt able to access recovery mode. i restarts when clicking it.) Taths y i followed those instryctions. Bt while on the update it showed an error. and from there on only the black screen iwth 4 triangles. Now i cant access the boot loader even. Can i fix this. Please help me?
please provide some more information, what hboot it had before you flashed RUU, is fastboot working? is it branded? what RUU did you flash as first? Did you make a goldcard before process?
You could try flashing this recovery file to your phone. I don't know if you can access recovery with S-on though. http://files.androidspin.com/downloads.php?dir=amon_ra/RECOVERY/&file=recovery-RA-desire-v2.0.0.img
I assume your pc recognises your phone so you can flash files?
You could upload a video showing what your phone does so everyone can see.

what error did it give? I'm guessing you didn't bother reading the intro, and that you didn't have a goldcard.. hence you got yourself in this situation? make a goldcard, then run the RUU again.. this is simple business.. or you can try the riskier way of running the 2.3.3 RUU

I suggest that you start your own thread where you can give more specific answers and receive answers tailored to your problem rather than trying to hijack someone elses.....
I used the all-in-one toolkit to unlock my bootloader and installed the recovery i flashed a rom onto my htc one x when it finished flashing i unlocked the screen and i just saw htc in green over a white background for a long time i tried flashing another rom same thing happened after a while of browsing i noticed it stopped with the white htc screen and it let me do the 1st time setup now its stuck in airplane mode and i just want to get back to my stock rom :/ please help my cid is htc__102 i know its a german RUU. i have the exe for it(RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_ICS_40_HTC_Europe_1.29.401.11_Radio_1.1204.105.14_release_260491_signed) when i try to update to a lower version it sais the rom update utility cannot update your android phone please get teh correct rom update utility
When you have tried to flash a rom, did you flashed the boot.img?
If no, try and your custom rom works.
However, for the ruu, you need a ruu with JB; search here .

Well, I've pretty much managed to screw up my HTC 10. I'm on the latest 3.16.401.2 WWE, S-ON, with the bootloader relocked and stock recovery. I can access the download mode, the bootloader and the stock recovery, but I can't unlock the bootloader since I can't active the OEM unlock option. The phone doesn't boot, it's stuck in a bootloop at the white HTC logo.
Using the OTA available for WWE gives me the Status 7 fail error. Is there anything else I can do, besides from waiting for the Oreo WWE RUU?
Thanks in advance.

I won't even ask how or why....
But yes you could S-off or wait for an RUU to magically appear.
Those are the two options.

It's pretty complicated, but long story short, I was stupid.
I can't S-Off without being able to boot the phone, so well, I'll probably just wait for a RUU.
HTC 10 boot loop
Hello guys,
my wife yesterday tried to update OTA (our htc 10 are completely stock) to OREO from Nougat 2.41.401.41. Something went wrong and it's stuck in a boot loop. I can get in bootloader and tried to install the ota, which I downloaded, manually from SD card, but after verifying it says "error: partition has unexpected content". Is there a way to get the phone back working even with data loss? Thanks really for the help, the phone has never been modified, I am getting crazy reading the forums but I am a total noob ?
i have seen i need a ruu, possibly zip since I can't boot and activate USB debug. Can someone please share a run.zip link at least equal to 2.41.401.41 (European)? Thank you very much
I have the same issue, HTC 10 in a boot loop after applying the OTA Oreo update. I'm able to get into bootloaders and such, but i need the data thats on the phone... Allready tried taking out the SIM and SD-card. Does anyone know if this can be fixed?
Same problem here!
After Reading what the rest of you lot mentioned here, i have the exact same problems! Installed the update from Nougat to Oreo, and the phone went into bootloader! I was stupid enough to delete most of it through TWRP, and even dumber to RELOCK it so that TWRP is out of the Picture. Download mode appears, but the recovery just brings me back to bootloader. Oh yes, and the OS is missing.
and fastboot / adb wont recognize the HTC Connected to the PC anymore.. Guess this is a total Brick? should i send it back since i have a warranty? Will they be able to fix this?
I too was stupid and relocked it while reverting to stock. At this point I had also flashed the stock recovery and recovered to what turned out to be a non-functional backup. (Stuck in boot-loop)
Thankfully Fastboot did however still work while in download mode, and I was able to unlock it again by flashing the same unlock_token.bin that I have kept since I unlocked it the first time, slapped in twrp again and I was good for another go.
M8 can you help out linking some procedure for a noob like me? Should I use a ruu? I am completely stock
I'm no expert in this my self just FYI, but installing a RUU is usually a straight forward process.
You need to download a ruu for your particular CID (Depens on where the phone was sold and what -if any- carrier the phone is locked to.)
I have an european unlocked one so the RUU I used was this: https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=817550096634797504
You can find more in this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-10/how-to/stock-stock-collection-recovery-ruu-ota-t3359297
Download the ruu (just short of 2GB in size) , rename it to 2PS6IMG.zip and put it in the root of an SD-card and insert it into the phone.
Reboot it into download mode by holding power+volume down until the grey HTC logo appears.
It should now detect the zip file in the sd-card and ask you to install it. Press volume up to confirm.
This will re-install everything (System image, recovery, firmware etc) all existing data gets destroyed.
Worked like a charm for me, and was able to do a Oreo OTA right away after the first boot.
Thanks a lot for your help, I'll give you a feedback asap.

Take the OTA. Did you flash a Oreo ROM while on nougat firmware? If so updating to Oreo will fix the problem.
Thanks Alot

I have an Indian HTC 10 (SD 820) full stock, no modifications. One day the phone froze and i restarted it and from that day it hasn't booted up. The htc logo shows up while it vibrates, then again the same screen. Stuck in a bootloop. When i get to bootloader and boot to recovery, the grey htc logo comes for 1 second and then it goes back to the original boot animation and it loops again until the phone dies. Whenever i plug my phone to the charger, it immediately gets stuck into the boot loop. Please help me !! Any fix please !

Hold the power button and the volume down button to reboot to download mode. From there you can flash an RUU.zip to fix it.
What is needed to direct you to the proper RUU.zip to download and flash is for you to boot to download mode and post here what it says next to "OS"
