hi,
I'd like to change the default value about the flag in these Windows. I want it ever unchecked by default. I've the root on my phone!

That implementation is flawed. In my experience if you just press ok it doesn't default, you have to actually uncheck / recheck for it to get defaulted. Odd and buggy feature.

il I already had search on it..
but I can't find that option! [emoji27]
can u tell me under which menu? thanks [emoji16]
I was saying that is flawed in the respect that if I just press OK it won't set the app as default , but maybe it's just me , didn't give it too much thought cause I like the menu to choose things and I just press the app and stay away from the OK button.

Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell\BubbleTiles]
"TextModeEnabled"=dword:00000001
"HardwareStartKeyEnabled"=dword:00000001
"HardwareDoneKeyEnabled"=dword:00000001

It makes your softkeys like the ones on the HD Mini, ie no start icon and every button is text and not an icon.

Sweet find....
I'm a little bit late
Apparently everyone found this at the same time, lol. From the same place I bet, too . . .

This is awesome. A few tweaks in the dialer and it's good to hook
On HD2, we do have hardware Start key (Win icon). But which one is the Done key?
So what do we use to exit a program or hit OK?

On the mini and HD2 that would be the back button. Not only for exit but also for the OK button.

Good find! Wishing that our blackstone would have the start key or remap home key as start key.
Possibly a silly question. But I've implemented these changes and have 'action' and 'Menu' softkeys instead of 'start', 'action' and 'menu'. How do you access start to get to your apps/tools etc

This is what I figured which is why I switched it back.
Curiosity got the better of me
Sorry that makes no use for me becuase the Touch HD don't have a start button and I mapped the OK/Back button to exit the programme.
I instaled a new theme for HTC Sense. Where can i change to it? Im a newbie at these things
settings>all settings>home>appearance
Can u take a screen shot? I don't understand 'all setings', i have PL ROM. Ive got Settings > and ex. screen settings, personal settings, voice, localisation, seciurity, date and time, regional settings, others and aplications
Just play with your phone a little bit and you'll know its features.
Select a page "Settings" its translated to uregulowania probably.
there is left soft button 'all settings' (maybe wszystkie uregulowania)
there you could find home icon and appearance icon.
Ehh, i can't do that, i can't fine "all settings" whatever it means. . Tell me, is it there where i can change the screen (and choose the font, wibration etc?) Uregulowania =/= settings. Settings = ustawienia, there ive got a folders like personalisation, localisation, aplications etc.
First, open settins tab,

press right soft button [Menu]
and you'll get
All settings menu item,
there you'll get home icon with appearance tab and themes.

That's what I don't get. The purpose of it is to switch quickly between apps. The task manager is there to sort out ram etc, not the recent apps screen.

I had rooted my phone out of the box, and last week installed the Android 4.4x OTA update. Which unrooted it, without protest or comment.
Today I went to root the phone again, only to find the menu function for Settings/General/Developer_Options/USB_Debugging no longer exists. In fact, the entire "Developer Options" section has been removed.
Does anyone know if that's been hidden somewhere? Moved? Or just locked out?
Will a root still work, if the choice of enabling USB Debugging is no longer there?

I have no idea what that "7 times" comment means.
But to answer the question, apparently USB debugging was either left on (as I had it) or is the new default, I've been able to re-root over the OTA 4.4.x

OH.
Thank you very much.
Now, when I find the guy who took that option off the menus and put up a secret tap-x-7 to enable it...Would you like to hold them for me? Or shall I hold them while you beat them? And after we get warmed up, we find the folks who *approved* that programming, and change places.
Tap 7x....
IS THIS *ING ZORK??
Again, thanks.
It's been that way for the last couple versions of Android. It's too protect us from ourselves

Does anyone know if the new quick tap feature will work with a case on?
it works on pixel 5 with case so I guess it should here as well.
Yes it does work and works quite well! I will say that I have a G branded case on so I can't speak for any other case maker and how well they will work? There still is the option to require a "stronger tap" as well, which is what I use so I don't misfire all the time and screen shot everything
*Grammer edits
TY for the info.

No problem. I just wish they took it one step further and allowed the tap gesture to lock the screen. I'd like to not have to use nova launcher or download some random, sketchy app for that.

Plus you can use tasker to further customize it. For example different action if you're holding phone horizontally.

You sure can, I just use my tap option for screen shots but yes other varieties are available
The special Tap to Snap feature not available yet? From Google presentation it's supposed to open Snapchat camera, even from lockscreen.
