Reflash the ROM you are on and you should be good to go. Before you do any tweaking, always make a backup. It's tedious, but it will save you from situations like this.

I recently upgrade my phone to Gingerbread, since then i have been having problem to receive an Incoming calls
when I have an incoming call, the phone does not ring or, vibrate or even show the incoming call screen. the only thing I can see is the little icon next to 3G icon on the top of the screen showing there is an incoming call and the screen will be blanck. non either call accept or reject page will show instead it will show blank page and the network bar will be lost.
so I can get messages. I can dial out without a problem.
I am using Samsung Galaxy S
Can some one help me
Sim locked?
you must do wipe partition
you must do wipe partition on recovery menu for smoth installation.
and check your network?
Edit: I too had the same problem in JV9. Flashing european 2.3.6 did the trick!!
I had the same issue once I just reflash through Odin,I believe I flash the jvu value pack...

On my Droid Incredible/Gingerbread I could configure whether the phone went to the call log or not after a call, but my Galaxy Nexus 4.0.2 always goes to the call log - this is especially annoying when I'm using the phone to navigate and get a call, when the call ends you don't just go back to the navigation. Anyone see a way to configure this that I missed?
Definitely interested in this as well
There is an app called "Not Call Log" which can take you to the home screen, dialer or open an app after hanging up. If you use Tasker, you can also set it to do anything with a "phone idle" condition (that may not make sense if you're not familiar with tasker).

Even though the call log appears, i believe the activity stack is is still maintained meaning after your call ends just press back twice, the second leaves the call log back to your prior activity.
The title says it all, is there any way to disable the call log from popping up after a call with the stock ICS dialer? I'd rather just have the phone go back to where it was or even just to the home screen. It's rather annoying when receiving a call when using navigation and having to switch back after ending a call, in many places (such as where I live) I would have to pull over to the side of the road and switch back in order to avoid a hefty fine. Also, I'd rather not have whomever I'm with see my call log if I have my phone mounted on my dash.
If there is no way with the stock ROM are there any custom ROMs that allow this?
Thanks.
not call log
I used to use an app called not call log, but I'm not sure if its compatible with ics.
Well... if you're just looking to go to the homescreen after a call... go to call log --> settings --> Exit To Home on End Call (Checked). Sorry, I don't know if this works on stock or on particular roms, but I'm running AOKP b25 and it has this feature.
Also, after your call ends and you are now seeing the call log, just press back and it takes you back to whatever you were doing prior. The activity stack stays in tact, it just adds call log to the top of it.

Hi! Since my Note 4's Lollipop update last week, I am very frustrated with what the dialer does during outgoing calls (not using HD calling right now). After I make the call, the call screen disappears into the notification bar and I have to swipe down (being careful not to touch the sensors that make the screen go black) to get the dialer back on the screen. This is really a pain when I need the keypad. I really just want the dial screen to stay on the screen full size. I can't seem to figure out how to do this after much Googling (maybe because people don't think it's a problem...but it's a very annoying problem for me!). Any ideas on how to fix this? Many thanks! Amanda PS...Incoming calls are fine...dial screen stays full size on the screen.
Welcome to the lollipop group! I am using sip accounts and when I dial, the dialer asks me whether I want to use my phone operator or one of the sip accounts. After I choose I have no dialer left.
If i swipe back to the dialer tab in the phone application, I can see 3 options:
x use touch tone keypad
< return to call screen
+ add call
and if i select "return to call screen" i can see again the dialog that asks me which phone to use for the outgoing call (while i'm still calling or even talking with the other side)
Google don't care about this, they're probably looking to phase out "internet calling" since they have their own competing product now (hangouts).

I'm having exactly the same issue on a Note 3 now with Lollipop.
Any idea how to disable it while trying to use the phone when in a call?
That phone status blob is horrendous. I'm constantly repositioning it but it is always in the way.
Fix
Go to setting >> Call >> uncheck incoming voice call pop up

That doesn't stop it, it only stops it when an apps in use , always there when on a call. I'd like to disable it permanently.
I disabled it and I don't see it on a call... Try restart device

That's not what we are talking about.
That applies to the popup for incoming calls. The blob is still there for any ongoing call.
1. Make a call
2. Minimize phone app
3. Witness the blob overlay on whatever you do

Get the G4 tweak box and xposed framework. Then if you buy the full version of the tweak box for 3 bucks you can disable it
you are talking that floating icon with voice speaking out their calling ID? I think it's from one of the LG software. Try uninstall voice mate. I had that problem didn't know how to get ride of it. I was mass uninstalling some of the LG software and got Nova launcher on. Now it's gone.
