AFter couple of tries i have to ask you guys : how to fully wipe my phone after and before flashing 4.1.2 stock via odin ?
I did wipe data/factory reset in CWM but internal memory is still there... So it was not full wipe.. Although when i flashed rom i got that initial setup, but internal memory was intact...
So, how to do full wipe before and after flashing 4.1.2 stock via odin ?
Thanks in advance

a full wipe is formatting system, data and caches not sure if odin formats system

Hi, to make things easier for you. Download Zoot's Super Wipe Script at the Android Development Section. It's a few pages back but it's worth a look
Was searching for Zoot's Super Wipe Script at Android development.. Cant find it...
p.s. and if i do full wipe before and after flashing rom, wouldn't that erase my rom because of system wipe ?

To answer your question, yes it will. And do a full wipe BEFORE not after flashing a ROM.
Here's the link for the script. Merry Christmas!

But one more thing i have to ask you :
If i do full wipe with script before flash (including system wipe) would i be able to flash 4.1.2 via odin then ?? I mean, ive heard that it is only firmware update.. Thanks again
Are you trying to go back to stock? Or flash a custom ROM? Sorry, didn't get you there.

Im on 4.1.2 french stock dll4 atm.. And i have pinch to zoom lag when zooming pictures.. A lot of ppl told me to do full wipe and then flash again 4.1.2 dll4 via odin and it will go away... I did wipe (without wiping system) before flash... And it is there again... So ppl told me to do wipe before and after flash..
So, im trying to do full wipe, flash 4.1.2 again via odin, then wipe after flash...

Ah. You will be able to flash it via Odin. But do not wipe or use the suoer wipe script AFTER. Just do it before flashing. Use the Mega Wipe from the AROMA of Zoot's script.
But be aware, it will erase your internal SD card as well so move every important thing to the external.

I have a sprint variant of the LG G2 running Android 4.4.2 kitkat and I'm interested in trying the CloudyG3 Rom, and I was wondering, what are the most simple steps to installing the CloudyG3 Rom so that I won't make any mistakes? Appreciate all the help I can get. [emoji4]

Make sure you are up to date with KK baseband and modem...then follow the instructions that he has posted, it is basic as that...
Granted that you are already rooted with a custom recovery since you are inquiring about flashing a Ported ROM
this is what I did:
DL the ROM
Place on SD card
reboot recovery
Make a back up of your current ROM
wipe everything except Internal Data (Do not wipe internal data.)
after wipe you can now choose the ROM and install
if you have white lines after first boot there are Kernels that fix it in the second post FAQ on the original thread
if you do get the white lines power your device off and boot to recovery by holding Volume down and Sleep/power button, entering until Recovery mode appears on the screen..
Ok, thanks, I'll try that. ?

Ok, I'm in recovery mode and went to wipe, then I went to Advanced Wipe, and it shows these options: Dalvik Cache, System, Data, Internal Storage, and Cache, which ones should be checked and unchecked?
Be careful of what you delete!

As hooover stated, check everything except the Internal Storage. Wiping the internal storage will delete the OS!

I am on official/stock ZVD & only rooted so far. So if it's official then it must be already on KK basband, right ?

I have a LG G3 D855, I'm not rooted but I want to and I'm not sure which root to use. It'd be great if anyone could tell me what root tool to use and how I can flash cloudyg3 2.3 onto my g3 g3.
Ps it's a 16gb model and do you have any other roms that improve battery life and give a g4 like feel.
Thanks

You can learn how to root by going through the following thread,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/guide-root-lg-firmwares-kitkat-lollipop-t3056951
After rooting you should install a custom recovery before installing a custom Rom. TWRP is the best recovery for G3. It can be installed by using the app "Auto rec". It is available in the play store for free.
The details of installing the latest cloudyg3 can be found here,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/development/rom-cloudyg3-1-0-t2917467
The process of insatllilg custom rom will wipe your device. So make sure to take backup. (Installing TWRP and rooting won't wipe your device)
Make sure that after downloading Cloudy 2.5, you move it to your external SD card. The external SD will not be wiped when performing the installation steps for the ROM...

If a problem were to occur during the installation from the internal SD, the ROM would be lost after wiping Dalvik, Cache, System & Data (Factory Reset) prior to flashing.
I have a question, what is the cleanest way for factory reseting the phone?
I am using a rooted LG G3 D855 now, wouldn't like to flash kdz or TOT because it is pretty complicated and although I understand most of the steps, I don't want to take the risk...
Now I would like the wipe everything clean and completely reset it to the time I buy it.
Should I just go to recovery and apply "Factory reset" option? Because I was using a special recovery to do a 5 wipe including emmc wipe (internal SD), /cache, /data, dalvik chche and /preload wipe previously in my Note 1, I was thinking that was the cleanest wipe.
But since I didn't install any recovery kernal and everything is stock except rooted, I want to know the cleanest way to wipe all data completely. Also, because the recovery (Philz touch recovery) has the option to wipe external SD as well, it makes me think it wipes things more completely and more powerful...
So can anyone please give me some suggestions? Thanks in advance. Something just tell me "Factory reset" in stock recovery isn't enough to completely wipe the phone...

You are correct. Factory reset wont completely wipe the phone. It will wipe cache, dalvik cache and data partitions. That is all the apps, personal settings and such.
Your phone will still stay rooted.
Idk what to do since you don't want to restore via kdz/tot. I suppose you could try to full unroot via SuperSU app. Idk if that works, haven't tried it.

Alright... Is this method working? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2785089
My firmware is 4.4.2 (v10n-HKG-XX), I wonder where can I find the exact KDZ or TOT (actually I don't understand these two firmware files' meaning...) because I cannot find it on the internet nor www.lgkdz.com, and I don't know which kdz or TOT I should be using exactly because it can be serious if I flash the wrong one...
Glad that you answered, was planning to reset if nobody answered me...

That guide is valid.
Don't really know if you can find the exact same version as you have now.
HKG stands for Hong Kong correct? If so I would suggest you tot flashing
these: http://lgg3root.com/lg-g3-stock-factory-firmware/
Scroll down till you find d855 Hong Kong and download the correct one
16gb vs 32gb. Also download the dll. For the rest follow the guide you found.
These are from july 2014 so they are pretty old, probably 4.4.2 same as the
one you have.
Or if you want kdz which is probably easier to flash
you could use this one: http://lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php?id_mod=41
Scroll down till you find: 145 HKG/HONG KONG V10N LGD855, download
and proceed with guide.

Alright, thank you for the information and reply. That means flashing kdz and tot will really completely totally wipe everything clean from my phone right? Including those system files, /preload, /data, internal SD card, /chche and dalvik cache and things like that?
It is the only method and there is no need to use any extra custom kernal or recovery to wipr those things manually? Is that correct? Thanks for advise.

That's correct, full wipe.
Ofc no need for any of those, you need LG Flash Tool, kdz/tot (+dll if tot), drivers. That's it.. Follow the guide you posted previously.
Happy flashing and best of luck.
