Hi everyone, is there a way that allows ours G3 to get the Android Lollipop Recent Apps tab view? Can someone extract this feature from the 5.0 stock roms? I also know that the Paranoid Roms have this type of view. So is there a way to get it for our devices? Thank you so much and excuse me for my english

Is it that bad? You can pinch in to have 2x2 or just 2 per page. 3x3 looks really ugly and you can remove the buttons using G3 TWB. Personally I use only 2 per page with the AOSP style kill all button, LG Buttons disabled and the RAM bar enabled.
AOSP for kitkat seems much more useful and elegant to me, and works way smoother. Having seen Lollipop recents app, IMO, makes LG horrible.
Yes, lollipop recent apps is really elegant and useful but i think there is no way to get it on KitKat
Use Fancy Switcher:- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2610409
Play store:- https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jkab.fancyswitcher
It doesn't require root.
Long press home btn and select fancy switcher.
I want to ask opposite of that,
I am using lollipop g3 cloudy rom but I hate recent apps view,
I want to change this cards view to tabs view ... if thats somehow possible like HTC lollipop rom,
Card view with chrome pages is horrible.
Thanks.

A few days ago, I started modifying my stock launcher on my Galaxy Tab3 (GT-P5200). I've focused on the dock.
Till now I've managed to modify the launcher so far, that I can store up to 13 icons on the dock.
I also managed to remove the text from the icons. This is how my screen looks at the moment.
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Now I want to continue modifying the dock by making it scrollable (like the homescreen or appdrawer).
And before anyone suggests me exactly, what I do not want, I'll explain briefly what is important for me.
I don't want to use a different launcher (like Nova / AWD / Apex / or something like that).
I also do not want to use any other app, which modifies my launcher.
I simply want to modify my stock launcher (TouchWiz) by modifying the code itself
I would appreciate it if anyone could help me or at least could explain to me
where the scrolling of the homescreens is defined in the code.
.
Wonder how you get 13 icons in the dock? Wish I had that option.

Well, ... I just modified SecLauncher3.apk. But I recognized that these 13 apps won't survive a reboot.
When I reboot my device, the system/launcher (or whatever it is) resets the dock, so that only 10 apps
will be shown after reboot. I still have the possibility to put up to 13 apps on the dock, but after reboot,
only 10 apps will be shown.

Oh, yeah...thanks! I had never concidered (with my limited knowledge) that the launcher is also just an apk running on android. big ah-ha moment for me there. Thanks for the eye opener.

Hey guys I've had my Note 3 running on stock since last year and now I'm getting kind of bored of it. I want a ROM that either looks like stock Android (AOSP) or at least doesn't have the touchwiz look. Maybe something customizable. BUT I would like S-Pen features to work if possible (I heard they don't work on non-touchwiz ROMs). I really like pen window (the one that lets you open up apps in small windows).
Also I definitely need multi-window.
I think I am basically looking for a touchwiz ROM that looks as closest to AOSP as possible.
Any suggestions?
You could always flash a touchwiz ROM and then flash an AOSP theme to it.
I flashed this ROM and flashed this theme
Here's what it looks like:

I would just flash foreverlocos aosp theme over your tw ROM of choice.
What do you use the pen window and multi screen for? Just curious, I'm looking for ways that I could possibly use them that I haven't thought of.

I'm a college student. Sometimes I'm too lazy to bring my laptop to class, so I use my phone. I have a textbook open in one app, and notes in another. Pen window for a calculator. Works pretty well!
Another use for multiwindow is if I want to screenshot information from two apps at once.
This is a stock TW 4.4.4 launcher with the flipboard shortcut replaced by the stock camera app when you swipe left of the homescreen

WTF are you talking about? The screen is not pressure sensitive.
@evil1art after messing with it a bit more it seems like after swiping the screen ten times the camera opens once or twice. Also every time i swipe the microphone on the google search widget changes animation from solid to hollow than back to solid again. Weird...anyway probably something on my end like a module im sure, but if you know of a solution please let me know as i love this idea and feature. Thanks..

Hi, I recently installed the official Lollipop stock rom to my P600 but I found that they made an step backwards by replacing the simple and nice recents screen in 4.4.2 with a laggy full-screen new one in 5.1.1. So I am wondering if it is possible to get that back with replacing the apk or sth. This is what I mean:
4.4.2

It is not what I don't like about the Lollipop Recents... it is what I do like from the KitKat one: its simplicity. In less than 1/3 of the screen you can see clearly more previous apps than in the lollipop's one, and it becomes easier to switch to "that email you were writing an hour ago" or "that movie you were watching before remembering about the email". And it does not fill the whole screen, so it feels more integrated. Let's say like the Window's taskbar.

Well , then I guess it might be better to try out the app "Taskbar 7" ( you can google it ... I didn't find the GP link ... ) which I guess the newest version was 1.8 ... it sets up a taskbar like Win 7 's one ... also you can try out " Glovebox " or "Swapps" which are made for the same propose ... I hope they help you :laugh:

Hi,
Does anyone know how to get rid of (remove/hide) the battery icon from the status bar, while still showing the battery percentage, particularly on stock Android 13?
This could have easily be done on previous Android versions through the Gravity box XPosed module however, no working version is currently available for Android 13.
Already tried :
Firefds Kit works fine and I have it installed, BUT it doesn't come with this feature.
I've tried AOSP Mods but it doesn't work on Samsung's stock Android 13.
The SystemUI Tuner app can no longer access Samsung's System UI.
I would appreciate any suggestion, other than the ones already mentioned above, that is known to be working on Samsung's stock Android 13.
Thanks!

You're welcome. Seems too easy, doesn't it?
Quickstar is a great moding app...
Don't forget One Handed Operation plus, it's not like what it sounds.
I use NavStar, Clockface and Task Changer a lot too. The app Double Tap as well.
Stock N10+ running on Pie with lots of UI bending apps. They use very little battery.

Right, it does seem too easy!? I was in denial for the first 5 seconds...
I still rely heavily on LMT, Tasker, Firefds Kit and other root-based customization tools but I'll definitely check out the other suggestions as well. Again, thanks a bunch!
