Even if the TP2 is very nice, I got mine last week that stupid camerahole bothers me and the TP1 was the same.
So I taped that hole (look at the picture)
Or does someone else got a better solution for it?
P.S:
I can still take nice pictures

Especially recommended the production for romantic, blurry pictures.

Not really, it's not THAT blurry ^^
To be honest, I don't give a thing about the camera that doesn't even has a flash
@gcheok
What's the point with the screen protector
I don't want dust in the back of the phone.
Agreed. Having a protector in the lens is only useful if you're planning on jabbing sharp objects through the hole in the back cover.
A much more effective solution is to cover the hole itself, thus preventing the back of the phone from filling up with dust.
Seems like a bit of a weird thing to do on HTCs part, though I can understand it. On my TyTN2 I actually took the back cover off to take photos as the "lens cover" was so obliterated and caked with dust.
Hi,
I have one strange pixel on screen (at first i Thought that it`s a dead pixel) After close camera shoots i think that it is dust under the screen. What do you think? (BTW closeup was done on white background of screen)
just passing by...

it makes me feel dizzy.

My immediate response was going to be that it mut be dust as it's invisible on the close up but...
Did you use a flash for the photo?
No i didn`t. The photo was taken without flash. Now I can share original photo made of that "defective" pixels:

I had a spec of dust under the screen of my original Desire. Today I took delivery of my replacement Desire and this also has dust under the screen.
I'm not sure what to do next.
Ok, So I really wanted the new Samsung Galaxy S2 (Euro) because it has the white with that iphone look but much cool-er.
But forking out that money is a no no.
So after looking I found a white glass for the vibrant along with the white bezel you will get a 1 of a kinda white vibrant!!!!
http://www.ebay.com/itm/White-Outer...985?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3cbeda8621
I just purchased it last night. I will purchase the white housing when I get back home and will see how it goes.
If anyone has this already please let me see some pictures
Ooh, update us on how that works for you. I know how to replace bezel/housing, but I don't know how to do JUST the glass since I think the digitizer is literally glued on. Pictures too! (My reaction to the EBAY listing: Holy ****ing ****! GAAAAAASP!)
If yours works out, I'm so getting one! I really wanted to updated to the S2 as well purely for aesthetic reasons but I heard it doesn't work well with Tmo 3g ):
I am interested in this too. Please get back to us and let us know how it went. I have broken glass and this would be the cheapest fix.
Glad that you're trying this as I kinda want to also. I've heard that the OLED and Digitizer are glued on so you can't just try to pry it off.
If I were trying it, I would try to take an exacto knife blade and cut carefully (oh so carefully) through the glue instead of trying to peel up the screen, which is really fragile. Do you have any kind of plan?
Unfortunately, there isn't much information out there on taking the screen glass off without replacing the whole screen so any info you can give will help out a lot of people who are interested in replacing cracked/scratched glass as well.
Best of luck and please let us know how it turns out!
i will be interested too please someone make a video
Well, One of my co-workers is going to do the job for me. I saw him tackle an IPhone 4 screen replacement too. I have in the past did replace some phone screens on a mytouch and mytouch 4g.
I will see about getting detailed pictures when he does the job. I'm going to be researching it here on out too. Downside is the time it takes to get here!!!!!
Do what you can about tutorial, video or pictures, what ever it may be. I saw this a bought one immediately. I already have a nice back cover in white that has Samsung and Powered by Google on it, so thought this would be an excellent pair.
Let us know
Is it even possible to just replace the glass without the digitizer? I thought it was almost a single unit and you would have to replace both.
I would really like to know.
Just to let you guys know, the listing looks like it has a hole for the FFC. It would be a problem for those with it, but it might irk those without it.

That's nothing a little dab of white paint couldn't fix.
...also, why would it be a problem for people WITH the front facing camera? Seems ideal to me.
Seeing as the glass/digitizer-lcd is nearly impossible to separate with both intact, I was just thinking of gluing the glass to a screen protector, then applying that on the phone. Finish off with a hard case or silicone that covers the bezel (and a little of the phone so it also covers the edge of the glass (which I'm sure will be raised higher due to just putting it on top), and voila!
Having this succeeded would seriously help. I'm this close to just getting the Intl SGS2, but ahh, it wont work with Tmo past Edge .. ;_;
Anyone ever tried/seen a white bezel? Sand it down, paint it? I've seen a gold bezel, but that's about it. Wow, white and gold

You are saying that you'd have a screen protector on top of a stack of two screens? I'd say that's an idea you shouldn't pursue, one because you're going to ruin the quality of the image you see, and two, you won't be able to touch your digitizer on the lower screen. Screen no workie!
If you've got to have a white border and you're not willing to get the whole shebang replaced, I'd say go with some cut vinyl. That's the cheapest route (time and money investment) that you could take. It would be interesting to see a white bezel. (the white Samsung Fascinate was so nice!) It seems like it would be paintable once you scuff up the surface. I just decided to find a solid white tpu case and it looks great in it. Covers the bezel perfectly.

Hm, you're right. Didn't think about the screen quality after two glasses/protectors ;_; I've tried the vinyl cut-out but after a while, I started to really notice/feel the edge of the vinyl when I'm swiping things around. So I really want to try the glass lens.
I'm going to look up that solid white tpu! I've only ever seen transparent TPUs
So is there anyway to really use this?
UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I recieved the glass.
Now, I want to try this so bad but Im need to be smart about this or I won't have a working phone.
I need to try this on a non working phone. If anyone still has or knows anyone with a screen with glass that is broken. Please let me know.
I will try and remove the OLED screen from it and see if it can be done.
Ooh, can you post pictures? I want to see how thick the glass is
Ha, this sounds like quite the project. I'll be anxious to see photos.
And it would probably look something like this to get it done:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sT7wRXeYsyg
Too much work.
This mod wouldn't work unless you know how to attach a digitizer onto a glass screen, also check the listing again - the glass comes without a flex cable soldered on.
Hi guys
I hope everyone is well
A week or 2 ago i noticed a pink line down the right hand side of my screen
ALso the bottom of the screen was slightly pink although i could see the text.
Gradually over the last couple of weeks the pink at the bottom of the screen has nearly filled the whole screen. The bottom of the screen is now turning from pink to grey.
Obviously i believe this to be a screen/LED problem
I have looked on ebay and found screens with digitizers but I am not sure if this will do the job or it needs another part with it
can someone please point me in the right direction...preferably with links
thanks in advance

Hi mate, I recently changed the screen and digitizer on my phone. If it's just the screen thats broken then you only need a screen, however you need to be VERY careful when taking out the screen from the digitizer, as if you break the connector to the digitizer then you will need to buy a new one too! Search youtube for "bravo disassembly procedure" or something along those lines, it's the official htc video.
It's actually pretty straightforward to do, and you don't need to treat it as gently as nitro glycerine either, as long as you don't use too much excess force.
Thanks
Hi mate
thanks for the reply
I have seen those videos around and got one in my favourites already
By the sound of my problem do you think i will just need a screen and digitizer or will i need more

Hi guys
Anyone managed to have a look at this?
anyone
sorry to post again
anyone able to comment on this? please
Hey sorry mate.. Hmm if it wasn't the screen then it must be something else... I don't want to tell you what it is for you to aimlessly keep buying stuff, because it's just not worth it. If it wasn't the screen then it could be so many other things.
Hey guys,
I just got my M8 and I'm noticing much dust between the black chrome ring, which surrounds the speakergrills and the display.
Even if I clean it,it doesnt take too much time to get dirty again. It looks like its a gap between the chrome ring and the display?
Is this normal or should I return my phone cause of that gap? I notice it exp. when looking at it from a certain angle in the sun.
Thanks in advance for your replys
