[ROM][E-988][India][Deodexed] Stock Rom series

Hi Guys..
As promised the Indian Version E988 Stock Deodexed ROM is ready but unfortunately(Less Time) its not the flashable zip.. it is a CWM Backup file you just need to restore from CWM. As i'll get some time from Office will make the flashable zip too..
Also this ROM can work with any E98X model but if other than (E988 India) then Please flash with the baseband available for the respective model..
Note : i will not be held responsible if you do any damage to your phone after flashing this zip.. you are taking this risk on your own.
Features :
1. Choice of 2 Launchers (LG Default,Note III)
2. Choice of 3 Sound Engines
a. Viper4Android (http://www.vipersaudio.com/blog)
b. Huawei Dolby FX
c. Stock (Stock Music Player EQ)
3. Slightly Themed (Starting Phase) More to come
4. By default its working on single core & if needed then only 2nd core. (2 cores disabled means More Battery Backup)

Could you put another link for this rom. I tried to download it twice and it got all the way to the end and it failed both times.

Sorry bro... dont have pc access for atleast next 2 days..

Sure will try to make a slim rom.. but it will take some time as unfortunately i have lost my hard drive n power supply in a power surge... so it might take 5 to 7 days to recover the data..

Edit: I got it to download without failing. Awesome ROM. Only prob i am having with it is when I have data enabled it will not let me go to any website or download anything. It seems to only work with WIFI

Maybe i did something wrong. I did a factory reset,wiped the cache and dalvik cache then restored with the backup file then flashed my e980 baseband then rebooted my phone.Everything else is working fine.
Edit: got it to work.APN was not set for some reason. Is there anyway to change H to4g

Indeed awesome ROM with lots of tweaks and customizations. using this for couple of days no problem so far. everything working including camera,bluetooth,wifi etc.

ya bro m using it on my Nokia XL RM-1030. Here is what i did....
1)Install the minirom KIKTKAT wannabe ROM with TWRP recovery
2)then install Nokia XL patch(STABLE) (It was in Lewa os thread i guess!!!!???)(for screen bug) from TWRP
3)then for camera bug simply flash the patch(in LEWA ROM OP thread) by Aguys (THANKS man) from TWRP
NOTE: after each steps, do a clean reboot. Also note that after flashing the NOKIA XL patch(STABLE) you will loose the softkeys
navbar. But dont worry u can enable it with a simple tweak in build.prop.

I tried to link the file but could not succeed.....anyways its on the Lewa os thread page no.44 and post no #433 by Aguys (thanks again,.....damn forgot to click the thanks button....but doin it right away).

Hey bro, u did't believe me i guess. I wish i could post a screenshot. Anyways i forgot to tell u that after flashing Aguys patch u need to install third party camera app. the stock one in this ROM crashes. And i repeat this is the best custom ROM so far for NOKIA XL. m using it since last 4-5 days. NO BUGS. NO FCs.

I tried putting camera. Apk in system/app and fixed permissions to rw/r/r and flashed Aguys patch but nothing works.... It always says can't connect to camera...

Man oh man.....kindly go through my post thoroughly. u don't need to put any camera apk in system or whatever. Don't do any of these. simply follow my instructions step by step and at last install any third party camera app. SIMPLE. I repeat, the stock camera app crashes.
IN CASE I HELPED U.........U KNOW WHAT TO DO

YES SIR. Simply do that. And i don't think Google camera is supported in android 4.1.2.

Rotation and light sensors all are working with lewa's nokia #2 patch
Just flash rom with lewa patch and aguys camera patch.
Issues-
i have found that accessibility service not working as allowing it for any app like headsup notification causes all app forcefully closed please fix.

Important!!!!!
To all fellow users of this minirom kitkat rom this is to inform you that i found a possible "malware" named Android Faketoken(Trojan) (What is that???!!!) when i scanned the rom's zip file with avast antivirus on my PC. This same "malware" was detedted by Avast in other two roms i.e. minirom s5 normandy and Xperia X by Harkirat gill BUT not in cm11 rom. so, its a request to all u guys using this rom, please scan the rom's zip file in PC and post ur scan results and put some light onto this. After all safety is important.
Note: google search shows that android faketoken is a malware (Trojan) which intercepts One Time Passwords(O.T.P.) while doing on line banking transactions.

I cant send any text message from any of my sim in this rom.how to solve this ?

Download Zip and extract it to your desktop or anywhere u want.
1-copy the content of lib folder and paste it to system/lib.
2-copy the content of lib/hw and paste to system/lib/hw. and reboot ur phone.

It's not working. I've followed the steps exactly. After rebooting, I get error message saying that systemui has stopped working. If I press ok, it will appear again and again. I then have to reboot into recovery and fix permissions to get rid of the error message but even then the sensor does not work.
This is too much hassle I feel and think I should revert back to Nokia's stock OS and get launchers to get feel of stock android by rooting it. This way I have access to google features as well as stock feeling of android. This way all features will work including camera.
Anyone knows how to restore to the stock Nokia? I did not take any backup when installing CM11.

i have slow internet so cant upload whole zip of cm11. btw if u want to go back to stock use nokia care suite...

do one thing...
1-extract ur cm11 zip.
2-download lib.zip from attachment extract it and paste lib folder to extracted cm11.
3-now rezip ur cm11 folder.
4- now flash ur rezipped cm11 and wipe data cache and dalvik.
must give feedback..

I've been seeing around about the lollipop. Many people wanted it and I thought to make a tutorial on how to make the Nokia X/XL look like close to AOSP lollipop look .
So let's get started!
Note: THIS PROCESS ONLY REQUIRES ONE REBOOT.
For this tutorial, I used CM10 ported to Nokia XL! You can use any other ROM to .
1. Make sure you have a custom ROM installed. And it should have Xposed module installed and have root access.
2. So we are going to download some stuff!
*Xstana module.
*Gravitybox [JB].
*Unicon icon themer.
*Moonshine icon pack.
*Root explorer.
*Google app (lollipop)
*Google now launcher (lollipop)
3.So when you guys have downloaded the given stuff let's get started.
4. Download the xposed module and install it (do not reboot). Next install xstana module, Gravitybox [JB], Unicon Icon themer from the link given below moonshine icon pack, root explorer, google app and google now launcher from the links given below.
5. When you have xposed installed, click xstana module and change the themes of status bar and navigation bar to lollipop.
6. Download root explorer and edit the build.prop file to get the navigation bar add qemu.hw.mainkeys=0 at the end of file.
7. Download the google app and google now launcher from given link and install it.
8. Download unicon icon themer and moonshine icon pack apply the icon pack.
9. Then install gravitybox for jellybean and restart your phone! When the phone is restarted, go into the Gravitybox and in transparent navbar and status bar and make them transparent that's it you got it!

It is because some roms have forced signal icons which cannot be changed, in order to change icons you have to compile and decompile the system ui I think. Like in semiaosp v2 the signal icons. I also have tried xstana in stock ROM and it works!

brother, after editing build.prop when i reboot, it doesn't show any navigation key and system ui stops everytime

Which ROM did you used? You need to put qemu.hw.mainkeys=0 at the end of the build.prop file. And REMEMBER you have to write it and save it two times on SemiAOSP ROM because it doesn't save the first time. And also the navigation bar doesn't work in stock Nokia ROM.

m using cm10 and did the same as given in ur OP. I also tried navigation patch given in cm10 OP but didn't work. it was working before but not now

Then you should flash the patch with the ROM using TWRP recovery. And when installation finishes, just do a complete wipe again and reboot.

[MOD] Transparent Statusbar+App Shortcut For Stock Deodexed ROMS [New V2]

I got custom SystemUI file added apps shortcuts, then I modified it to be Transparent.

It's fpr STOCK DEODEXED Only bro.
You can't install it on stock because you will get "SystemUI Has stopped working" ^_^

For Transparent I used apktool and decompile SystemUI.apk then I edit xml colors to #00000001
You can use Resflux also

Can you please post a tutorial on how to edit Nokia XL systemui.apk and framework-res.apk??
And the links for the tools needed. I've been editing my systemui but i always get "system has stopped" error. There are no errors on compiling and I've done every step.

I used APKTOOL only, but i worked with stock deodexed
