You have D855 model? If yes, then yes you can flash AndroidNow HD v1.4
First you have to root with Purpledrake
Next you have to flash Bump which is TWRP recovery
Then flash AndroidNow HD with the TWRP recovery.
All this information is in the AndroidNow HD thread, including links to everything you need.

Yes its the d855 sorry but i thought instead of twrp i can use cwm but thats not Bumped then i think. Ive always used cwm with my other phones and loved it
You can only use CWM in a tethered form at the moment, if you want a 'normal' recovery method then you need to use bump and TWRP.
My advice, is get used to TWRP, you will soon realise it is actually a much much much better recovery!

No, Sorry, that was a copy paste for another post I mean that TWRP that I installed is from @surdu_petru
Although in my Settings : About Phone : Build Number shows BlueAndroid V02. I don't know why, maybe because I installed that TWRP, I don't know. Maybe @surdu_petru knows why.

At first I installed CWM, but that's not good, the only good thing about CWM it was that I was able to flash TWRP zip from CWM, and ofcourse TWRP totally replaced CWM after. If you want I can tell you how you can install CWM and flash through CWM the TWRP file @Fedds here is the link with instructions : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2417919 After that you download TWRP V02 from here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2534420
P.S. Do not install TWRP V03 because is not compatible, it is a permanent recovery but not compatible with 125 firmware. Anyway V02 works great.
I did flash through CWM a R01 version. Then I tried to flash to R02 through R01. But this time I got stock recovery and after trying to flash R02, the installation failed and the stock recovery won't recognize my sd card anymore.

Why don't you flash JB kdz? You don't have to wipe anything if you updated to official kitkat if that's why you are so worried

There are a lot of custom kitkat roms which you can flash in recovery mode. Check general forum and chose one you like.

Im on Z008 2.19.40.12_20150612 I cant seem to flash twrp no matter how hard I try. Im rooted and unlocked BL. Is fastboot easiest way or sideload or from twrp manager? Does someone have the download link of which IMG I would need?
Check the General resources thread, you might have to upgrade your stock firmware version.
Download twrp manager from app store. Use that.

I've tried that but what img file do I need for my firmware?
I see the new one is 2.20.40.63 what would be the right twrp img file to flash?

You must be on 2.19.40.18 - 2.19.40.22 to unlock your bootloader. Only after unlocking your bootloader can you flash TWRP onto your phone permanently...
Go to general section and check out the 1st stickied post, it will give you the info you need to do this...
I'm already unlocked and rooted. What img twrp should I flash based on my firmware?

TWRP officially support Zenfone 2 (551ML) so get from there....
I'm 550 ml now what? Can anyone just send me a link to the right img?
What are the steps to flash this TWRP recovery 2.8.7.0 OTG-USB NTFS.zip. This is for 550 ml
I'd use untethered Twrp then flash, but that's me.
Twrp manager automatically picks the right recovery.

I have a problem with flashing the latest version of TWRP. Only 2.8.7.0 works. The others show a success message on the PC but when i select to boot into recovery, it just goes back to bootloader. Am using rooted stock Marshmallow. What could be the issue?
