thanks a lot for this final version!
But one thing I realised already... I additionally installed GAPPS 'gapps-jb-4.2.2-light-20130824-signed' and one function does not run:
'GoogleTTS'. It crashes.
Can you have a look please?...

Well, no problem. Just give me a logcat of the error.
I re-uploaded the rom cause GPS was not working. Now it does.

Where can I find this 'logcat'?...
Maybe TTS is not a problem with CM10.1 but with the GAPPs package that contains an incompatible GoogleTTS.apk!?
Do you activate the update function in Android options at 'phone infos'? (no option for that right now)
Would really make sense for left errors like that, don't you think so?
Meanwhile I could just flash over the old one, right?...
By the way... Will there be a final CM10.2 version as well?...
Will it be possible to update from 10.1 to 10.2 by just flashing over CM10.1 ? (it is all 'Jelly Beans'...)

Probably. I don't really remember TTS working on Android 4.x for armv6. Maybe it uses some armv7 libs. I suggest you download these and flash it on a clean ROM. It doesn't contain anything unnecessary.
To make a logcat just download an app named "Catlog", start it, give it root access, then make google tts crash and then save the log in txt file and post it on pastebin.

Updater has nothing to do with this. And it was not working anyway cause this port is unofficial.

There won't be stable CM10.2 for sure. I could make a stable CM11, but man, even CM10.1 is pretty heavy for WFS. I shared all fixes I have with ARMv6Team, so A2DP and wired headset are fixed in CM11 now. But I won't join the development since I don't see the point.

okay, thank you. I will send you the Logcat later this night.
To TTS:
1) Is it used/necessary e.g. by GoogleMaps for the voice to navigate you? If so this would mean that lite-weight GAPPS packages do not support GoogleMaps navigation?...
2) It could be that the GAPPS package I mentioned before (s. this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1917411) misses a folder 'tts'. I added it and will flash it later. Maybe that's the reason for the TTS crash. I will let you know.
3) Why didn't you include at Android settings the two options 'developer options' and 'performance'? (in CM9 they are included!) They would be very helpful!!
4) Can I just flash over your CM10.1 version from 17th Oct. the actual version from 18th Oct.? I work with INT2EXT2 !!
[Maybe I could avoid reinstallations each time by using LINK2SD instead?...] Or which part of the new version do I have to flash over?...
4b) May I just overwrite a CM10.1 version with version CM10.2 ?... (both are Jelly Bean!)
To 2): I just saw that the folder 'tts' is already included in your CM10.1 package. So I suppose that it should not be added in GAPPs again.
What I suppose now: While 'PicoTts.apk' is an offline TTS module the 'GoogleTTS' is an online one workimg together with the Google server. (It might be necessary for other online components like GoogleMaps navigation.) Right?

Well yes, TTS is probably being used for voice output. I'm not sure it's being used in google maps though.

You don't need to reflash. Just extract /system/lib/hw/gps.msm7x27.so and /system/etc/gps.conf from the zip and put them into the same places on your phone.

I think you can't since 10.2 is much different. Never tried it by myself though. Just make a backup, then do whatever you want.

I never actually used TTS since it does not support Russian, which is my native language. All I can do is take a look into logcat and see if I can fix it.
Regards.

I just sent you the logcat of the TTS problem by pastebin to niks255.
(I did not use a clean system but I think it will go anyway, will it?...)
Furtheron I would like to ask you the important question 4 again:
How can I update a (same) CM version (e.g. CM10.1) (if I do not have informations about the exact components changed!) WHEN using a link script like INT2EXT2?... (I already made some tries but failed)
Another little question...
I am missing in the boot menu (long press on power button) the (earlier) options like reboot to recovery, reboot to bootloader, etc.
Is there any reason why this disappeared at CM10+ ?...

This option is still there. Go to settings - developer settings and set "Advanced reboot menu" option checked. To unlock developer settings, follow steps from the post above.
And please, provide a link to your logcat on pastebin here.

This is the link to the log: http://pastebin.com/FHGPrQfc .
I hope that you can find out the TTS crash reason!... Please let me know.
I will soon check if the way of update described works. However it sounds logical. Could work...

Seems pretty simple to me. Remove google now and install this from google play https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.voicesearch&hl=en then give me your feedback.

hmmh, I don't think that this is the reason...
Cause the TTS error message came already directly after login of the pretty new flashed CM10.1 package.
At LogCat I used 'Voice Search' of GoogleNow ('GoogleNowVoiceSearch.apk') just for starting TTS to demonstrate the error.
So you think that gapps-jb-4.2.2-light-20130824-signed does not suit to your CM10.1 package?...
Refering updates of same CM versions with SD-ext link scripts you are right: it worked just to copy the script to folder init.d. A good solution. Thank you!!
And also the two additional boot options can be activated.
What about the warm restart option. Doesn't this exist anymore?...
May I ask you some additional questions?...
* How would you compare CM9 with CM10.1 considering power consumption?
* Is there anything left that will not work of Bluetooth at CM10.1 ? Cause in the forums there is often mentioned s.th...
* And is it possible that design/themes/background collections are available like it is at CM9? I just see that files like MagicSmokeWallpapers.apk, VisualizationWallpapers.apk and LiveWallpapers.apk are not included anymore in your CM10.1 package. That's why the options 'background pictures' and 'Live background' don't find anything.
And there is still another point (no forum thread about that)...
It seems as if there is no local contacts 'account' at CMx (normally called 'phone') but only the own Google account. Isn't this unusual?...
Not wanting to use the Google account would mean to create an extra one?...
Thanks for your feedback!

If I remove 'GoogleNow.apk' and even 'GoogleNowVoiceSearch.apk' I still cannot install app VoiceSearch (it is still installed).
It is another app in the system folder that you want me to exchange: VoiceSearch.apk. It does not seemt to have s.th. to do with 'GoogleNowVoiceSearch.apk' which I used to execute TTS.
Do you want me to remove this as well?...
I can also use 'Android settings -> Speech and Input -> text-to-speech output' to start TTS. It crashes here as well!... So the problem should not be the VoiceSearch module.
Does the option 'Speech search' just above works on your mobile? Here it does not work as well!...

Reflash the ROM and flash those Gapps I gave you then install voice search from google play.

I don't understand...
That makes no sense cause those Gapps are unnecessary small. I have more ROM.
Furtheron they do not contain the necessary GoogleTTS.apk which is the one that crashes.
So with a small Gaps package your version will always work as it does not have the available, additional features!...
So could you meanwhile test your CM10.1 with my Gapps version? That would be a good idea as well, I suppose, wouldn't it?
And would you be so kind and just comment my last requests? ( I assure you I won't ask anymore afterwards ) )!
Thank you so much !!

That makes perfect sense cause TTS seems to be using CM10.1 voice input according to your logcat. Just try it.
And live wallpapers are included in CM10.1. They were not in CM10, but it's also fixable.
Talking about battery life. I got the best results on CM10. On CM9 I was having some strange battery drain sometimes. I could even find my phone turned off when I wake up. That problem does not exist on CM10 and higher.

So you mean that 'my' Gapps (for v4.2.2!) are unnecessary big? And your ZGapps already include all possible and necessary functions?... E.g GoogleTTS.apk must not be included as TTS is 'double-functioned' then?...
So how do I have to configure it now (which apks do I need and which are unnecessary (e.g. 'GoogleNowVoiceSearch.apk', 'GoogleNow.apk', GoogleTTS.apk, etc.). Just check it in my GAPPs please!) that...
1.) GoogleNow Voice search does not crash?
2.) 'Android settings -> Speech and Input -> text-to-speech output' does not crash?
And yes, I saw that LiveWallpapers are included as an apk. BUT when I go to Background->Live-Backgrounds the entrance is EMPTY!!
(and option 'background pictures' contains just one picture)
Why is that so?...
The only working option I have right now is 'CM background pictures'!...
Thank you for your feedback concerning power consumption.
So Bluetooth works fine now on CM10 and CM11 ??
By the way...
Do you think the CM11 version for Marvel is already stable enough to be ready for normal/daily use?
And are there (functional) reasons why KitKat should be prefered to Jelly Beans?...

Live Backgrounds is empty because you don't have any live wallpaper installed. Download one from google play and you'll be fine.
The ROM contains just one background to reduce ROM size. It hardly fits internal memory, so I guess devs just had to slim it as much as possible. You can set any picture as a background.

* How should Google TTS work if GoogleTTS.apk is not installed on your side? As I already mentioned: your Gapps package does not contain it!... So both options ('Speech Search' and 'Online TTS') do not even appear in your settings menu!!!
* You write that you don't know about CM 10.1?... I thought you have finished both 10.0 and 10.1 and that you are a developer!?.... Didn't you fix the last problems at CM10.x? The way you announced it.
If not could you please inform me what you exactly did/improve at both (CM10.0 and CM10.1 ) compared to the most actual version I know: 'cm-10.1-20131025-OWLPROJECT-marvel.zip'?
* 'My' Gapps link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1917411 include very nice additional features! Did you check meanwhile?... Those should work properly with proper stable running CM10.x versions, of course - GoogleTTS included, shouldn't they?...
So don't you care for those functions as well (not just suggest a smaller Gapps package).
Didn't you say: "What's not working:... You tell me." So I did...
* Can you please tell me otherwise where to find another most actual and proper working CM10.1 version (of this year)?
* By the way, which CM10.x version did you take as the basic version of yours?
Three more little questions:
- All CM10 apk files in your packages are dated from February 2008. Isn't that strange that one cannot see the real date/actuality of each component?...
- Do you know why there are different packages for each three JB versions?... (maybe my GoogleTTS.apk was mixed up!)
- How can I test other Gapps easily? I should clean and overwrite the Gapps. My only idea would be to format only system folder and flash Rom and Gapps again. Any better idea?...
-------------
However this discussion is difficult because I don't have informations about the function of each Gapps app. How can I find out? Don't you know maybe any explaining listing/document?

In fact LiveWallpapers.apk is not included in your CM10.1, Nick! Now I took the one of CM9: I could install it but they cannot be loaded. It shows 2 pictures. The same app shows in CM9 9 pictures...
Anyhow, they are wrong for CM10. Do you know where I can get LiveWallpapers.apk for CM10.x compatible with Trebuchet ??

I have a CM11 version here that seems to run fine (up to now). But I am not sure about its power consumption and speed.

Hallo again Nick,
meanwhile I tested your Gapps. My complaints are right.
As I mentioned above: GoogleTTS cannot crash with your Gapps because it is not installed.
At 'Settings->Speech&Input->Text-to-Speech output' you cannot choose between Google TTS and Pico TTS but you have only the last one!
But if you - as I wrote - choose the online-TTS version (sounds much better!!) with GoogleTTS.apk it crashes.
So it really does not seem to work together with your CM10.1 and you should improve this please.
The same with 'Settings->Speech&Input->Speech search': it does not work. If I choose this option everything hangs on.
This is the second point/problem that obviously should be fixed.
Please just install GoogleTTS.apk and VoiceSearch.apk in your systems folder of your CM10.1 version.
Now please test the mentioned two functions!
By the way: I just did so at another CM10.1 release (which I do not like so much than yours) and it worked fine! So it should generally work with yours as well but doesn't !...
Would be perfect if you could find solutions for both problems.
Thank you very much!
PS: I tested all this also at CM9. Here GoogleTTS is also included (in a lite Gaps package!). And here both functions work perfect: Speech Search AND Text-to-Speech Output !!
It seems to be sure: There is s.th. wrong at your CM10.1 version!

Scoot CyanogenMod 7.1.0 RLS3
This is a build I have compiled from the official CyanogenMod source files and adapted for Kaiser/Vogue. Feel free to give it a go at your own risk!
Well, it still isn't quite as snappy as Froyo and the camera still doesn't work properly but it's probably about as fast as Gingerbread will get on our devices. I'm bound to have messed a few things up but i'll continue to work on it when I get time
All the usual things are working as far as i know, GPS works fine for me but the camera is as always not fully functional.
All of this is thanks to the guys working on the CyanogenMod roms and of course, none of this would work without all the hard work on the kernel so big thanks to dzo, vilord, l1q1d etc...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
RLS 1:
Initial Release
Includes most of the Google Apps including Maps, Gmail etc..
Latest Market is included
RLS2:
Built from the latest 7.0.2 source
Optimised EGL for our devices
Updated Market
LDPI and PNG optimisations to save space & increase speed
ADW Launcher updated
Loads of tweaks and status bar changes
Updated RIL lib
Loads of fixes and optimisations
**I recommend leaving the phone for 5 minutes after installing to sort itself out and cache apps etc...**
RLS3:
I can't really be bothered to list all of the changes, there are quite a few but I just compile the thing, the changes are in the CyanogenMod repository. I have included the updated RIL and all of the Google Apps are up to date. The camera is still ****e but that's a driver issue. This release hasn't been heavily tested as I don't use my Kaiser as a main phone anymore So i'm sure you will find issues in which case we can sort them out as and when. Enjoy!

This is an alpha and still needs a fair bit of work to get it running to it's full potential but you can get an idea of what it will be like. btw, which kernel do you suggest for this build?
thanks in advance
Hmm for some reason I cannot boot to android the phone has been stuck in boot loop for the last 15 minutes. I have an app.img file with about 80 applications so this might be a problem I'll try to boot it without the app.img. Both data and system on sd card imgs + latest '25 kernel.
Edit.
Ok I have removed the apps.img and it still doesn't boot.
I have noticed that there have only been modules for '32 kernel included in the build. Should it work with '25 kernel with proper modules added?
I'll wait for All Languages version to test it with the new kernel.

3. after this install can i install another another version overwrithing this one? for example now the phone isn't working so i want to change to another version of android can i simply put another "androidinstal.tar" in andboot folder and install?

YES! you can
To view Battery percentage, you need to set that in Cyanogenmod Settings (correct me if I'm wrong here since its been ages when I used CM build)
Yes, you can do that it's actually very simple. Just remember to edit your .nbh before every install if you are changing versions (donut, froyo, eclair).
Cheers. Welcome to Android world

I recommend using the latest .32 kernel you can find, either one that L1q1d has compiled or one from Clemsyn's thread You can find the latest kernel here: http://androidhtc.git.sourceforge.n...7c0bf5edc4f5c6d64ce4df29254e8332ce26b;hb=HEAD
Well have installed 6.1 and phone now works... =)
Will wait until a new version of this one to come out and then try again...
- Already found how to show percentage in bar status thanks dark_prince.
- Thanks for advice slimas, to edit .nbh do i need to reinstall kernel? and can i reinstall without mess up with previous android install or do i need to install again android?
- Some bugs that occurred to me .. sometimes bar on the bottom disappear can't access apps... ; some freezing sometimes, do you guys recommend to overlock? if so how to do it? Weather widget can't find info too lol not a serious prob...
I'm reading forum and these are some questions i couldn't find answer, for now i think that's all.. i'm enjoying android on kaiser think this is the time i will change forever...
thanks for fast feedback any good tips are welcome ;P

The bar at the bottom of the scrren can disappear if you swipe down on the screen, it is a bit random but is a flaw in ADW launcher. To get it back you need to press the 'menu' button and go to 'settings' then go to 'ADW Settings, UI Settings and untick 'Dockbar'. Re-select 'Dockbar' and exit settings and it should be back I expect some freezing, it is still under heavy development and our devices are quite limited hardware wise so there won't be any miracles yet I overclock my Kaiser to 500Hz using ATools, a lot of people don't recommend it but it is what i have always done and i have never had any problems, it speeds the phone up a fair amount. Just tick the option when editing your NBH. The phone obviously needs to be connected to data or wifi for weather widget to get location information, i just tried it with wifi and it worked ok, there may be an issue with data though, i'll look into it Thanks for testing.
CAMERA
camera is not working properly but it looks awesome i will try to apply the update from previous cm to see if this will work
camera
after applying the update android can`t start so i am going reinstall it

GAPPS IS ALSO PRESENT AT ABOVE LINK
It's running very good on my device, only issue caused was "Android.process.media" stopped..it's B'coz of improper cleaning before installing the ROM.

No bugs what so ever
1.REMOVED : ANTI-SPAM, Backup, Backup_restore_confirmation, Browser,Bug_report, Cloud Service, E-MAIL, Exchange, LatinIME (Google keyboard), MiUi_HOME, Theme Manager, Voice_Dialer, Weather, Weather_Provider.
2.ADDED : ActionLuancher Pro(it was there in 19.07 but it is causing much lag so removed it), ADW_Launcher, Google TTS
one important thing is there THIS ROM DOES NOT CONTAIN ANY KEYBOARD the reason is that when i try to put them in ZIP and installed it I am getting an error showing "GoogleKeybaord stopped/ Sywpe stopped" instead I've given two separate .apk of Google_Keyboard(Gesture) and Swype(modified apk)
after installing the ROM, when you boot into it select English then skip the network and location settings (REMOVE SIM CARD TO AVOID MOBILE DATA CONNECTION as it will cost you if you are not subscribed for any data pack), Now goto file manager and install any one keyboard you like.

I can't find the zip to install additional languages. Has it been abandoned or is the pack already included in the ROM itself?
edit: nevermind, I was searching en.miui instead of miuiandroid.

Actually, on V5 for both DEFY and DEFY+ on MIUI.com you can see this: Author: DreamTeam
On the other hand, for V2 on the DEFY page it says: Author: MIUI
That's what's confusing me... I'll try it anyway, hopefully it's much better than the previous builds (which were all ports afaik...)!

will your rom work on defy also, when we can expect it? I see that it has a separate miui v5 download link for defy and defy+...
Previous releases were supposed to be private.
3.7.12 is the unofficial public release.
Defy and Defy+ each have their own release, but they should be the same. They probably separated them to prevent people from asking why there's only one release for both phones.
Why are you even asking? Both versions are available, just download yours!
I ask beacuase I would like to test coolshahabaz version without unnecessary apps....

[4.0][ICS][ROM]Mackay CM9 2014 1.7 (25-mar-14)

Because of all the slowdowns in kitkat, I decided to give ICS another try.
Specs:
-Based on CyanogenMod 9
-With Mackay kernel (updated to 3.0.101, updated governors & schedulers, XL RAM some other nice stuff):
https://github.com/kasperhettinga/samsung-kernel-aries/commits/mackay-cm9-2014
-TWRP 2.2.2.0
-no 720p possible, XLMem (do not ask for other flavours, I just make a one-flavour option tuned for smoothness)
Download:
https://s.basketbuild.com/devs/kasperhettinga/sgs/rom/pre-KK//
Gapps:
http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-ics-20120429-signed.zip
This are the latest official gapps. Newer gapps can be found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.om/showpost.php?p=50748003&postcount=135
(I haven't tested this package, I also don't think latest gapps is relevant, as gapps get updated through Play Store anyway)
Install:
-From existing CM9: install on top + flash gapps
-From any jellybean ROM: you can try to install it on top, but it may result in bootloops, requiring flashing GB through Odin (see below for next steps). Flash ROM. Flash gapps.
-From stock Samsung GB: install CF-ROOT-CWM kernel, or any other CWM containing kernel. Flash ROM. Flash gapps.
You need to flash gapps on every new build, backup/restore of gapps does not work yet!
If you have space issues, you can use a solution to bind /datadata to /data partition:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=50653795&postcount=55
THIS IS NOT AN ADVICE TO DO THIS! I do not like this solution, as it will slow down your phone (especially with the slow internal memory chip). And it goes against my lean & mean philosophy for this ROM. Therefore: please think well before doing this!

woah .! ?
Few bugs:
1. About Phone - CM Upader = FC Settings
2. Preformence = No schedular option
Runs smooth and excellent.
great works great perfomance

Wow, that was totally unexpected! Thank you very much! @kasper_h I was wondering: does your rom use the older partition layout, that was introduced in ics, which caused datadata to be full, or the jb one? It would be awesome if you switched to the newer partition layout *.*

You remember it wrong
ICS always had a small system & small datadata partition, both on the fast Onenand. This was actually the fastest layout I ever worked with. The changes in layout all happened in jellybean. And I will not start using jellybean partition layouts: I strive for speed and simplicity, which fits perfectly with the ICS layout.

@kasper_h I have 3 questions:
1. No 720p support at all or only 720p recording is disabled but 720p playback still works?
2. If there's no Performance->Scheduler option in ICS, can schedulers be selected using other ways?
3. zRAM , KSM are still there ? (sorry I am used to your KK kernel)
Ty!

1. 720 playback should work, but I didn't check and I don't have my phone here now
2. Yes, any cpu tuning app like nstools can be used
3. zRAM is on the to-do list, KSM should already work

Alright then I have a problem though: I can't donwload any apps from the Play Store, also, it won't update itself. The error I get when I try to download something is 403
WOOOHOO!
My dreams came true, it actually happened!
You know, I was testing out CM9 a few times and I noticed huge improvements in smoothness and stuff like that, but the most impressive thing that I realised was that the chrome browser was not lagging at all! I think this means something!
I just have a few questions:
Is it possible to port CMA here? (it's not really necessary, I'm just wondering)
Aaand what about all those super cool features from Omni ROMs? Is there any way to port those? (again it's not necessary at all, I'm just asking)
Anyway I hope the development of this ROM will continue. Going to install this right away! :good: :good:
If you'll continue working on this ROM and we'll continue using it, we can make together the fastest and the best ROM ever made for our SGS, I believe!
The guys. Collect this ROM for Vibrant. Please!
Wow, our aging i9000 gets an encore ICS build!
What a joy! I will try!
I have a question regarding my old official CM9 nandroid backup done with Semaphore 1.3.0: is it worth trying to advanced restore only its data with Sema 1.3.0 to this ROM, and then flash this ROM over it to retain Mackay kernel back and my beloved TWRP with it?

Google Play Store is not updating itself aswell. Got the same problem with 403 . Coming from Android 4.4.2, I've flashed an Android 4.3.1 kernel, reboot to recovery, flashed CM9 twice, full wipe with system format, flashed Mackay CM9 and ICS gapps. Full wiped and system format, flashed the ROM again with gapps and the 403 error was still there. Then I've tried to go back to CM11 and the 403 error persisted.
Went back to stock GB and rooted it using Odin3 and then flashed Mackay CM9 and ICS gapps, now 403 is not showing up but another error appeared (921) and I've tried to clear data for Download Manager, Google Play Store, Google Services Framework, removed my Google Account and rebooted. Then I've re-added the Google Account and now the 403 error reappeared.
@kasper_h got any ideas ?

-CMA is not worth it, would hardly give more free RAM.
-Due to major overhauls in Android between ICS->JB->KitKat it will be nearly impossible to port anything back. Also, my motto for this ROM is lean & mean.

My play store is working and was updated automatically. I could manually install apps, and some gapps (TTS, Search) were updated fine as well. Maybe try deleting Play Store data, as that seems like the best way in any Android revision to solve Play Store issues.

Google Now (Google Search) Voice controls for armv6, anyone?

Hopefully I won't be offending anyone by cross-forum posting,
I worked out a widget to use online voice recognition on armv6 devices and feed it to Google Search. I'm running 3.3.10 myself
I see there are a few older threads about that here that aren't solved... So I'm offering my program if anyone would like to try it out.
[armv6][APP][4.2+]Voice Search Wrapper for Google Now (Google Search)
See, I have an armv6 device too, and I like the idea of supporting the newer Google software for older devices, since Google won't do it themselves or release source code so we can do it properly.

The widget should run fine but I don't know if the version of Now you'd have to use has the same intent to launch the search as newer versions.
Hm, 10.1 uses quicksearchbox.apk instead of Velvet.apk
It might work though. It would be easy to test... if I had a cm10 rom for my device still.
I'd say to test versions from here instead as they might work and would be more functional than the old quicksearchbox. If they install they may work, but you need version higher than 2.0 or the widget definitely won't feed voice data to Now.

In an nutshell:
bigsupersquid said:

Installation:
Get Voice Search on Play
get the apk from post 2, and install it.
If youve already got Google Now version 3.10 or higher sideloaded you can skip this next bit, go straight to fixing the Google Now settings.
I haven't been able to get either the launcher or Search to work installing from Play.
The Easy Way
Sideload the official apks from somewhere like androidpolice, and then you don't have to push anything to /data.
Here's the androidpolice 3.3 article with a download link.
The Harder Way
Get Now (and the launcher if you see fit) from the gapps here.
G Now is four files. /system/priv-app/Velvet.apk (chmod 644)
and three libs from /system/lib
libvcdecoder_jni.so, libgoogle_recognizer_jni_l.so, and libgoogle_hotword_jni.so (chmod 644)
(thanks to Dovidhalevi for pointing out the libvcdecoder.jni.so, I had missed that one.)
the launcher is /system/app/GoogleHome.apk (chmod 644) but it's not required.
you can 'adb install' Velvet, then adb push the three libs to /data/data/com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox/lib if you don't have space on /system.
Fix Google Search Settings!
once those files are installed,
1) immediately go into Google settings > Search & Now > Voice > "Ok Google" hotword detection, and turn it off.
2) Then back up one menu to Google settings > Search & Now > Voice, open Language and set it to something obscure like Hungarian (this avoids nasty FCs that happen to some users, thanks again Dovidhalevi for the tip!)
Important: If Search keeps closing on you, you need to make sure you changed the language in Google settings as listed in #2 from the previous paragraph.
If there's no setting to turn off hotword detection, the version is too old. try v3.10 or newer.
still get Search force closes? @rar**** posted a fix.
Usage:
The first time you run it there will (well, should) be a dialog asking what you want to use. Select Voice Search, Always.
(If there's not a dialog asking what to run for this action, go to Settings >Apps > Google Search and clear defaults. If that doesn't do it, clear defaults for Voice Search and VoiceSearchWrapper too.)
The widget can be activated by long-press search button. Another dialog should pop up. Select VoiceSearchWrapper, always.
Just tell it what to do, like after the hotword on a newer device. Instead of "Ok Google, weather" just say "weather."

CM 12.1/13 - various builds

Hello guys, I'm going to share some CM builds I've found online and I'd like you to try them and discuss them. Thanks to collapseromer.
Builds are usually compatible both to US and Chinese devices: please say which version you're using when you post/report bugs since we'd like to confirm that.
Most recent I've found (old versions hidden):
BetaHydri (12/07/2016):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/leeco-le1-pro/development/cm12-1-rom-betahydri-letv-1-pro-t3416651
Thanks to our fellow @BetaHydri we have the best of both worlds: working location service (even for mobile and wifi, Smart Lock via location should work now!) and working videos. Nice job!
Collapseromer's 20160628 build:
http://rom.7to.cn/romdetail/1012717
https://mega.nz/#!H91Q0RCB Passcode: !R1XXlc3yt8gUORagS7B-4PVf9ZCFP7uueVTIY8AMY08
OK, things are getting serious: we've got Play Store and Google services working fine (location via mobile data and wifi not working), all kind of streaming videos play fine, framerate for GPU intensive games is unbelievable compared to LeTV's 12S stock ROM based Custom ROMs; no major bugs to note except Parrot's Free Flight 3 app not working.
Dolby Atmos/AudioFX can be fixed using http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=67579077&postcount=109
Collapseromer's 20160528 build:
http://rom.7to.cn/romdetail/1012091 --> Chinese thread
http://pan.baidu.com/s/1boNb5Ll --> download from China
https://mega.nz/#!QgoihJCQ!RpD2O1knJ5L6uAOGI7I6elv6spUNrPXD7whpqb6y2kE --> mirror
Google Play Store started FCing after like an hour since I installed. I've tried a few things to get it back (uninstall via Root Explorer and reinstall, clear cache and data, flash GApps again) but so far no luck; funny enough, it's auto-updating installed apps and installing apps when I do that via browser just fine. :/
EDIT: Now it works... I guess it's because of the modified build.prop I applied, which I'm attaching here..
Actually I kept getting Play Store working on and off and I couldn't understand what triggers that so I reverted to the ROM below.
Collapseromer's 20160512 build:
https://app.box.com/s/ua2ekx0g54iltp2nj9b8uo2fykciylwg Uploader got out of bandwith, use link below
https://mega.nz/#!J8wTRS7Q!HFnr-waFdMvbJM-69doDuvmC2CI3RPytI8ODXNaqMio
- This ROM gets everything working except Periscope and Facebook videos.
As an attachment you can find a flashable zip to restore volume switch function on any CM build! Thanks http://bbs.le.com/thread-1675368-1.html
Please note I always disable all the Chinese apps (for example using https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.keramidas.TitaniumBackup&hl=i) and install Stock/Aroma Open Gapps (http://opengapps.org/).
This is a guide to trim the ROM zip from variuos apk's, use wisely: http://bbs.elephone.hk/thread-2939-1-1.html
And this is an additional trim guide which was true for collapse-cm-12.1-20160512-UNOFFICIAL ROM, not confirmed on newer versions

Code:
1. With the card inserted and unacknowledged make a call by typing: * # * # 4636 # * # *
2. Appear a menu with several options: informaticion phone, battery information, usage statistics and wifi information. That we are interested in "phone information" we click on it.
3. We get a lot of things and options. We seek "Set preferred network type" and we click on the tab that appears below us which allows us to select different types of networks.
When you first enter this menu appeared selected the option "TD-SCDMA, LTE, CDMA, EVDO GSM / WCDMA," possibly this was the problem, it was the wrong choice. So it was.
4. Change the option to "LTE / GSM / CDMA auto (PRL)" and restart your phone (you simply have to select it and get out the normal phone menu
This is the official device support request CM thread, chime in! https://forum.cyanogenmod.org/topic/120767-letv-x500-x600-x800/
And head over here to review the ROM, I think that may stimulate collapseromer to build more, maybe even CM13! http://rom.7to.cn/romdetail/1012717
What's your mileage guys? Could you get some CM13 somewhere, maybe? Please share your files and experience, LeTV ROMs are just clueless and I really think CM is the only way out: how could you develop such a useless lockscreen and notification shade, LeTV?
Hmm... Great stuff. I also not very impressed by EUI... What about Sim card slots, mobile Internet and camera? Do all these things work on CM too? How about battery life? Is it improved or same or less?
Sent from my Le 1 Pro using Tapatalk
I'm using slot 2 only and data/calls/messages work fine; both cameras work, with 4k videos too; battery is more or less the same, I can go morning to evening just like Cuoco's. I really insist you should try, unless letv starts developing good things (but it seems like Android 6 ROM doesn't change much) I'll never look back; moreover, someone may port cm13 sooner or later.
Inviato dal mio X800+ utilizzando Tapatalk
How's the camera quality, compared to EUI?
Thanks for this share OP =D
Not at all, dude, I just want to spark some conversation and maybe development for this DOA device...
Camera is fine, you even get 4k video recording from main camera and 1080p from the front facing one. Even official EUI ROMs are not that good, with camera: videos always fail to autofocus and you have to keep pressing on screen to refocus, while pictures live preview is slow and generally not so good with low lighting.
Please H3G, deliver the HTC 10 and I'll get that in a heartbeat so I can stop going slightly mad with this device!

Hi,
do I understand correctly that this "collapse-cm-12.1-20160531-UNOFFICIAL-X800" version works on our LeTV 1 Pro X800 US/CE model?

Correct, any CM you'll find in this thread works both for CN and US versions, I'm using an US device myself.

Ok thanks !
Then I will try it today, as I have some problems with my actual CUOCO 11S V4.3 which could not be OTA updated anymore for whatever reason.
Did't you installed OPENGAPPS arm64 version right after the ROM flash ?
Right, opengapps build, 64 bit, Android 5.1, flashed right after ROM (put two zips in queue, in case you're wondering). Let me know which build you're going to flash and how you like it.

I installed it ! But on boot I choosed german as language maybe not a good idea. Will try again with english at first boot-up.
I noticed following:
- I installed OpenGAPPS Stock Version for 5.1 / arm64
- Google Play Store is crashing
- AudioFX is crashing
- four to six useless chinese apps included into the ROM
- One settings extension is completely in chinese
Anyway if I'm able to remove the for me useless stuff and fix the crashing of the play sotre, then I will keep this ROM.
Which ROM build did you flash? I reverted to https://app.box.com/s/ua2ekx0g54iltp2nj9b8uo2fykciylwg for now, just because of Play Store issues (even though it actually worked since I could install apps via browser and apps were auto-updating I could open it only sporadically, most of the time it force closed).
- AudioFX crashes here too, I actually never tried that since all my audio needs are speaker and bluetooth;
- You can easily freeze/uninstall those Chinese apps: enable CM root access in standard developer settings, install Titanium Backup or similar from Play Store (or via apk from apkmirror.com) and get rid of them;
- That settings item in Chinese language is actually just a container for all those Chinese apps you want to kill, so don't bother. It will force close if you click on it, once you freeze/delete those apps.
- I always choose Italian as system language and everything is in Italian: except for those Chinese apps, of course, but they never survive for a long time.

I flashed this one that you posted at the beginning:
https://mega.nz/#!QgoihJCQ!RpD2O1knJ5L6uAOGI7I6elv6spUNrPXD7whpqb6y2kE
Should I try the one that you posted in the BOX account ? Isn't it the same ?
Nope, slightly older: try that.

can't download the one in the box account. The download don't start...
You're right, the uploader went out of bandwidth: I'm uploading to Mega myself, it should be ready in less than an hour. Of course I'll change the links too.

I noticed that I had already downloaded it during last week.
But see my last reply:

Original filename of the file I'm uploading to Mega is collapse-cm-12.1-20160512-UNOFFICIAL. If you have that one just flash. Build date is 2016-05-12 (12/05/2016 in Europe), you can see it from the filename.

Yes exactly. I flashed it already Play Store works on this build from 12.05.2016. Cool !
I already deactivated all the chinese APPS via APPS Settings --> All Apps. It's important that you have to download first a new keyboard like google keyboard. As the chinese/english one will be also unavailable when deactivating all chinese app/services from settings.
Yeah, so far that build worked fine, only occasional non-playing Periscope/Facebook videos. Even installed Xposed Framework with a few modules.
Oh, are you using Trebuchet or Google launcher?
