Hi Guys.... i m trying to editing ramdisk of our redmi 1s kernel but it always failed in repacking, after hours of search i was able to find a perfect tool which can unpack/repack kernel perfectly by Cofface (Win Version) and Xiaolu (Linux Version) (recommended)
So no more talk here how to
Windows User :
You don't need to do much..i already made a batch file
simply paste your kernel/boot.img in a folder with the tool (see attachment)
and then
*To unpack the kernel
open unpack_bootimg.bat
*To repack the kernel
open repack_bootimg.bat
that's it.. enjoy editing :good:
Note : This will only works for redmi 1s kernel.... to make work on other device see post 2

I recommended this tool by xiaolu over the windows one, its works perfect for me

if some how we able to compile & boot the kernel by some hacking it not a worth shot....i tried two hacked kernel first on my Mxx A110 and second on Mxx a116.....both kernel are good but not better than stock one (may cuz its mediatek cant say)
so its better to wait for OEM source...or until we can try this aslo
i m willing to try but my bad i dont have much space in my pc

But even if it seems that everything goes well , unfortunately after flashing the new boot.img , phone goes to bootloop and i lost also twrp recovery.

Cygwin corrupts boot.img.
This tool seems that repack it well but i wasn't right.
I'll try also with carliv kitchen and will see..... hope to work with xiaomi's boot.img

open repack_bootimg.bat with any text editor and replace the "console=xx" with with your boot one,
save it and run

Hello friends In this thread I am going to show you how to install Net Hunter on Honor 6X
To do this you need to root your device and make sure you have TWRP installed
Requirements:-
1.A rooted device
2.Twrp installed
3.Net Hunter.zip
To download it goto this link https://build.nethunter.com/nightly/
Then select the top latest folder.And then find nethunter-generic-arm64-kalifs-full-xxxxx.xxxxxxx.zip
Process:-
1.download the zip file to your sdcard
2.boot up to TWRP
3.click on Install zip
4.select the storage at which you have downloaded your file
5.select the file and swipe to install
6.click on reboot device
Note:-1.Ignore the error in red letters then restart you device
2.At first startup it will take a reboot again and it will take upto 1:30 sec to boot into your os
NOW YOU WILL HAVE YOUR NET HUNTER INSTALLED

This is fake / modded one and not an official global firmware.
I found "androidboot.verifiedbootstate=green androidboot.selinux=permissive" hack in boot.img, which should not be included in retail firmware (it's even not included in China official firmware)

But hey this dev made a multilanguage ROM out of the China dev ROM. Of course there are some patches. For example ramdisk patch from magisk etc. To get it to work.

Then OP should state it's unofficial global rom.
Unofficial global rom itself is not a bad thing, but bad reseller will flash it and sell it as official global version.
The moment a Global ROM shows up, we'll let you all know. We're monitoring for perseus_global builds already, but none are public.

Why dont you just pull your stock boot img from your phone you can do that with fastboot

No depending on the manufacturer they wont realese it if they dont want to because there are several reasons my phone is oppo a71 2017 variant but they didnt realese any source code of the phone its already 7 years since the realese of the phone there is still no source code but if you really want the source code try to request or notify them but from my perspective they wont be realeasing that sourc code unless they want too

Btw is your phone is OPPO Reno 6 pro 5g? If so you might want to this method if you want to root your phone easily
First
Unlock you bootloader first
Soecond
Install the unofficial Twrp for your device
Third
Download and install Magisk apk latest verion ang rename it into Magisk.zip
Fourth
Boot into Twrp and flash the magisk zip
Fifth
Boot your phone then check it if the magisk is installed

Ohh sorry its not fastboot but ADB ehheehh heres how to do it, you need ito install adb drivers and android sdk platform tools only from google
1.
adb devices
2.
adb pull /dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/boot boot.img
Then you can find it where you copy the boot image also not all boot image loaction is the same better to search it correctly but try that one above and dont worry if you pulled the wrong img dont worry it wont brick your ohone

If you know the partition location and size you can get it i think but i never tryed it before

i flashed my oppo to global version, everything is working fine but baseband is null.
is there any help anything regarding that on how to fix that atleast.
phone is not even going in Preloader VCom mode. it just turned on when i connect it to computer with cable.

I flashed it using mtk client from github. I followed a tutorial from xda this one
Flash stock ROM or downgrade ColorOS 12 on OPPO Reno6 5g(CPH2251-MT6877 chip) by using free MTK client GitHub tool.

Even though i flashed with all files first time?
I dnt even have the chinese stock rom now meaning its origional files.
If i flashed without those 3 files it will use previously flashed files which are of global model.
But i will try what you said and will see if it works and get back to you.
There is 1 thing i did find on chinese official site of oppo there are chinese rom available in ColorOS section but only of older models before Reno 4 i thnk.

I removed those 3 files and now phone is not even turning on.
finally was able to reinstall coloros12(CPH2251) rom using mtk client github.
phone turned on now but still baseband unknown.

This is mtk client github link download from here and after download make u have python installed and in cmd run the commands mentioned in install section here.
After that its ready to flash or do anythng
