[Q] Help with a proper KDZ file for an E980 with 32gb inbuilt - LG Optimus G Pro

Please all Help with a proper kitkat KDZ file that i can use to flash my e980 which will still retain 32gb inbuilt , working SD card and mic. I am currently on the hongkong kitkat for e988, everything works well except that my internal storage is 10gb instead of 29 when it was on stock 4.1.2 for at&t.

Your using KDZ files. The E980 version of the Lg Optimus G uses .tot files.
"I am currently on the hongkong kitkat for e988" < < < You need to flash the kitkat .tot for the e980 not the .kdz for the e988.
Here is a link to the stock .tot's for the e980. Click on and download the one that says V20g for kitkat, or any of the V10 for Jelly Bean.
Also make sure to download LGE980_20130314_LGFLASHv151.dll from the page as well to use with your flashtools, as the e988 .dll most likely won't work or will cause issues.
http://storagecow.eu/index.php?dir=Xda/LG+Optimus+G+Pro/Stock/AT&T/
The e988 only has 16gb of memory, where as the e980 has 32gb. By switching to the proper software, you'll get your extra storage back, and I bet your phone will run better on your cell towers.

[GUIDE] Unbrick F240 by turning it to E980

My Optimus G Pro F240L was somehow soft bricked for a month after trying to install a version of CM11. I have tried to download many dfferent F240L .TOT files to get it back to life on Baidu, all files were corrupted, at least for me, and i had the low battery warning when trying to flash official .KDZ .
Then I have tried the tutorial on this thread with AT&T .TOT file for E980, thanks to madmack :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2302660
Don't use the DLL which is there, instead if you have F240L use the one on this thread, thanks to chimmot307:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2368900&page=2
The phone is back to life, but no signal and no SD-card
At this point, you need to root the phone and install CWM using the files in this thread thanks to XQ55 :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2342695
Then Install the F240 baseband or the one compatible with your phone by flashing it in cwm using the files in this thread thanks to anirudhks:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2462453
Ok now the signal an SD-card is back and you have a brand new E980 AT&T phone !!!
Freeze unwanted bloatware with Bloatware freezer free in Google Play Store
You can now also flash official .KDZ for your F240 or keep this version as I did.
GOOD LUCK

I have LG Optimus GPro F240L too, I tried to flash CM11 ROM but it was brick, the same like you. But I flash TOT file back OK. Now i can root and install CWM through FreeGee, but when flash CM base ROM it doesn't boot, only stock base ROM work. Someone tell my why please !
Well in fact I have tried AICP here, and it works pretty well and very fast.
Install it through Freegee and TWRP. However, I get signal, but whenever I try to make a call, the phone reboots. If I try to install the baseband, the phone gets bricked.
Otherwise a search on google for F240L CM11 gives many results, even on XDA. I didn't have time to try yet. But on E980 official ROM, Antutu has a score of 22500 which is far better than my 19600 with official F240.

I have a F240L works with CM11 perfectly.
Only issue i noticed whichever ROM i use i never get SimToolKit(STK) to work even in stock korean ROMs.
I moved to RadeonMAYA ROM as it has the best battery life as compared to the G2 V5 ROM and CM11.
As for the rebooting during phone calls just install ALSA drivers using the guide here on this general section and it will work.
Though you'll have reenable it evertime on Reboots which is a PITA.
Did you have weather effect at lockscreen my friend?
Thanks, I will try alsa drivers. Yesterday I have tried a PACMAN rom downloaded here, and it works wonderful without doing anything. Calls, data network, wifi have no problem at all.
Slimkat 4.4.2 is also there. Not tried yet.

do you know if its a problem when i flash this on 16gb model an flash another rom after the phone is unbricked?
Low battery warning will be gone for sure. Though I'm not sure about the dll, maybe get one for e986.
You can flash on a 16gb no problem.
I have repaired my dead f240L with your help

I am new and have a question. I have followed all the steps to the tee for unbricking my F240L and turning into a E980, except using king root to root the phone. After rebooting everything has worked perfectly except I can only get 4G speed and cannot get 4G LTE on t-mobile which is available in my area? It is on 4.1.2 and I have also correctly loaded all the APN codes for t-mobile. Maybe it is not possible to get 4G LTE after converting the F240L into a E980? I am open to any suggestions.
Do you know where i can get F240 TOT file?
I'm trying this on my comming F240. And luckily make it a E980, thanks!

I guess you now have to flash official F240L .KDZ as it will work flawlessly and hope you get 4G LTE (I think it is the same as 4G, I may be wrong)
I do not know myself as it is difficult to download from Baidu websites, just use the E980 .TOT file with the guide and uou will be fine. After that you can flash any .KDZ

[Q] LG e980 AT&T - Download Mode Changed - BIN model is different

I bought this LG E980 AT&T model (v20G) and I installed E988 stock 4.4.2 OTA ROM (.kdz method) given by sandyiscool in this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2754294
it was successfully installed until i realized there's alot of modem problems i.e. my 3G would show up but would run very slow as compared to other phones using same carrier.
So now I wanted to revert back to Stock ROM E980 (.tot method), but as soon as i put my phone in download mode and plugged into the PC, LGFLashTool gave me the error "Bin model is different" and then got red and failed to install Stock ROM. I think the download mode model has been changed to E988 while i was installing its OTA Rom.
Is there any way to revert this download mode back to E980 model. I tried both E988 and E980 .dll files for .tot flashing tool but both gave same error. I can only find E980 TOT files and cant find E980 AT&T v20g .kdz file anywhere (I think that may solve my problem if i find it). Please provide a solution to let me revert back to E980 OTA rom. I'd be really thankful.

D852g Cant revert to stock

Good morning
Im using a Canadian version of the LG G3 D852g on Videotron network.
I have been able to root and twrp the phone no problem. I have tried most of the roms available (candy cm 12 etc)
I installed cloudy 2.5 for my model of phone and since then i have been unable to revert to the stock OS via the KDZ method or TOT.
What is odd is that the KDZ worked no problem until after i installed cloudy 2.5
The KDZ method would now stall at 2% and indicate that it can not find my device. (yes i know drivers com port 41 etc etc etc)
I downloaded tot file and dll required for my device and when i run the LG flash tool.
SO then i tried the TOT method to revert to kit kat. and this is where i got a weird error message

Any help would be greatly appreciated

I don't think you can, but, if you download the kdz from a trusted place, you are actually back to stock without "china apps".
You can download the kdz here: http://storagecow.eu/index.php?dir=Xda/LG+G3/Stock/
but be sure to flash the good one

LG G Pad 8.3

hi guys,
I need to get one of these back to stock. It's running lollipop. I don't know what kdz file to use. I'd just like to get back to 4.4.2. When I go here:
http://lg-phone-firmware.com/firmware-Lg+G+Pad+8.3-Tutti-39.html
There are no USA links. Which one should I download for this tablet? Would the Lg Flash Tool be best for this? Or should I use the other program? I think it was called B2CApp.

Which variant of the G Pad 8.3? V500, V510 or VK810? I assume one of the first two, is that correct and if so which one?
The difference between LG Flash Tool 2014 and the official LG tools like the B2CApp is that the official ones for the program to re-downloaded the latest KDZ every time you attempt to flash. Maybe in your case that's what you should do if you're having such trouble finding the stock 4.4.2 KDZ for your variant. The official tool deletes the KDZ it downloads after it flashes it.
LG Flash Tool 2014, you download the KDZ you want ahead of time and flash it whenever you want with it, without waiting for it to slowly re-download the KDZ each time.
If you go to the main/root section of the G Pad 8.3 and use the search box with for example:
Code:
V500 KDZ
Replacing V500 with your variant, you should find something. Since I don't keep track of V500 or V510 stuff I'm not aware of what all is available on here or where it's at. I only know the Korean V500 KDZ for Lollipop.
Google sometimes works even better such as a Google search for:
Code:
XDA V500 KDZ
or just the same search as previous if you don't want to limit yourself to XDA.
