Hello,
I have a Note2 International and I would like to use The T-Mobile Wifi CAlling Feature.
Can somebody tell me if that is possible?
Does Anybody know how that works? Is it an App or is a Feature built in in the ROM. What do I need to use that?
Or do I need to flash T-Mobiles Stock ROM (but is this possible?)
Iam now on Stock ROM 4.1.2 And would like to move to Dr.Ketans ROM.
Is there somebody with Experiance? and can help me with this issue?
Thanks
George

Not easy as your on n7100 and t889 is closer to N7105. Kernel would need to support it, plus you would need the WiFi calling app and must be on t-mobile network for a properly provisioned sim card.

Thank you!
OK the SIM Card should not be the Problem. The only thing it is a Prepaid. But I was told its possible to use it with prepaid, and I will need some kind of "special" now normal new simcard and not my old one, which will not work with this.
Is there somehow something possible with a S4 mini?
So maybe it is possible. Is there a link where i can read more about this? How it could be managed?
Thanks

Off hand I don't know of any links but my past experiences were that it was very hard because pre requisites were a properly provisioned sim card, a compatible kernel with proper modules, the app and build prop edits. Those requirements make it hard for a phone not on lte or 4G with t-mobile rom. You could try porting a t-mobile rom to your n7100 should be moderately difficult if you know how to port a rom over.

Tried the RMK Rom. It does see the sim card and says switching to global mode now but I still do not get reception with any French carrier. I wonder if I had to do something before I left with Verizon. Some of my colleagues were told to dial *228 to activate global usage and theirs is working, so I am thinking that might be the problem.
Try the GSM/UMTS mode, instead of global, and you may have to add your carrier's APN yourself.

I put in my colleague's Verizon sim card which was activated before we left the US and it worked just fine, so obviously it was my sim card.
Thanks for all the tips.
Ah, okay! I thought you were using a local sim card.
Can someone from Canada please confirm or deny that the T-Mobile ROMs work on WIND/Mobilicity Notes? I really want to get the Multi-Window features and a bunch of other goodies, but I do not want to brick my precious. :crying:
Thanks a ton!

Yes it will work. Just need to unlock it. Don't even need to root it to unlock it.
(Only need to unlock it if it's from mobilicity ofcourse)

Unlock? You mean unlock the bootloader, or the phone? I already have a SGH-T889V Locked on WIND (Probably), that I purchased directly from WIND and it works perdectly with my SIM Card. I only want to root it and flash Custom ROMS.

Sry I must have been drunk when I read your first post lol
I'm note sure about rooting it. It's baseband is different than the US TMobile variant. (US is LJ1 I think, my Mobilicity one reads LJ4)
I posted in the toolkit thread if it will work on our canadian ones. I hope someone replies soon.
Not sure if you mean will a tmobile note2 work on wind? Currently using a tmobile note 2 stock running on Wind... Just unlocked phone and evening working fine.

Thanks
whats d difference..?
whats the difference if u put a Tmobile rom in a canadian wind G N-2 ...??
Thannks..!
A SIM unlocked T-Mobile Note II works on Wind Mobile or Mobilicity without any modification.
I am looking for comment from Canadian users of T-Mobile Note II to confirm if the performance would improve after flashing the T889V modem.
Thanks
Sent from my SGH-T889 using xda app-developers app
To answer your question, yes performance will improve after flashing the T889V modem, but the difference is very slim. Data speeds and reception are generally the same, but the T889V modem might get half a bar of signal where the tmobile one will get none.
Hi all

Hi I't what I did first I I had to change the sim size (previous GS II, which modem was working)
I've checked again just before posting this question, all seems to be Ok from them
The message is " Non available data or non valid sim"
I've seen on forums that the at&t modem is locked for at&t network only
May only the phone setting is unlocked but not the modem ones?
Or should I flash and other Rom (Noterious or n7105?
Thanks again

I haven't checked the speed as here we've got a very low flow (2Mo...)
When installing, do not load the AT&T CSC

Ok well I think you may be able to enable it by changing the build prop to GT-I9300 or GT-I9305, this method enabled video calling with my M919 S4 by changing build prop to the international S4 but the video calls never work and I suspect it may be because the phones I call are U.S. variants that have the option disabled. You can try this but be very careful when installing and flashing things from apps, even using Odin and kies because they will think you have an i9300 and you could brick your device if you don't know what you are doing

ThanQ verry much... But plz tell me if i can make video calls just by changing my device name from the build.prop? Or do I have to flash any custom rom? & which custom roms support video calling?
by his previous post, I get the impression he wont know. he was just telling you his experience with his S4 as a possible solution.
you will just have to try it and see.
Hi guys.
Basically, I have a US Verizon SM-N910V Device that is working out side of the US and is not connected to Verizon.
A client of mine would like this device to have native Hebrew installed on it.
Is there anyway to use another stock ROM on this device or, if it cannot be done, any other ROM that would have Hebrew on it?
Thanks.

So i cannot ROM it to another Stock or any other non-stock ROM such as CM.... bummer!
This phone will not work with any other version?? Thats really hard to beleive...
Maybe someone knows of another way to add languages? I have tried the Morelocal2 app (that usually works) but it will only change some of the menus, not all.
Any other other ideas?
