[Q] from 2.42.415.1 to 2.50.405.2 ,i lost arabic support,cant go back :(

Dears,
i need help,please help me
i bought my phone from UAE and it i updated it over the air through wifi ,so i was running software 2.42.415.1
i updated my desire hd using ruu to version 2.50.405.2
and now i lost the arabic suport,i cant go back to the oldest one (2.42.415.1) the tools keep showing bootloader error
please i need an arabic support cause without it my htc desire hd won't be useful ,

Your stuck I'm afraid. You went from a x.xx.415.x which I assume has Arabic support to x.xx.405.x which is a generic WWE, world wide English version.

Where did you get the 405 rom? I have the 415 rom with Arabic support but I do not need Arabic language support at all and I want to get rid of it.

Here is someone who wants arabic support. i am with 2.42 buti want to remove the arabic support. sigh.....

You can head to the developer section, theirs a thread with ruu link, sorry no link, not on PC.

+1, Also confused.

It doesn't seem to be an update, probably the same as the latest WWE RUU we have, only modified in some way for the Arabic versions of the DZ.
I could be wrong, though.

The G2 is exclusive to T-Mobile US. That means that every other version (be it european or arabic) is for the Desire Z. Judging by the filename, I'm guessing it's the same as the European 2.42, but with a different language pack (region 415).

Yeah, I figured it would be for the Desire Z as I read the file.
So its a new update... with just a new language than huh?
Hm, didn't think it was something big since I haven't heard any buzz of it.

That manual won't work, because G2 doesn't have "writecid" command in fastboot.
But... I think as long as you have S-Off (and usually that also means you have SuperCID), it doesn't matter

Please don't use the official HTCdev unlock, it's rubbish. Either get S-OFF via the method in the XDA Wiki, or use the goldcard method if you want to get SuperCID and don't want S-OFF.

a coffee update ? what's new?

hi
i have htc desire z mobile and its S-OFF, flashed ICS rom Andromadus_Alpha13 and it worked fine, then i installed this RUU rom and tried to flash.
the update process stuck on 65%,so i disconnected it.
Now i see HTC logo with 4 /i\ in corners, i tried other RUUs,they all do the same.
i tried to (power+vol down) it wont work
but when i connect USB then disconnect it i see this

Flashing Arabic RUU on an Asian One X

Hello everyone,
Few days ago I have bought HTC One X and it was reading Arabic and I can type Arabic so easy using a 3rd party keyboard app.
I figured out that I bought the Taiwanese version by mistake and all of the languages listed in the mobile is Enlgish (Taiwan) & other language with Chinese/Japanese symbols on it ( Not sure what Taiwan speaks )
I have tried to unlock my bootloader and root my phone so I can install a 35.X MB Arabic update but the phone failed to apply the update through recovery in HBOOT.
Here is the full details:
Phone Origins Asian
Phone Version 1.29.709.12
Bootloader Unlocked via HTCdev.com
Phone Status Rooted
RUU Version RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_ICS_40_HTC_ARA_1.29.415.11
My main question is: Is it possible to flash my phone using a Middle East RUU on an Asian HTC One X? Or the phone is going to crash? I need to know the steps.

No, it is not possible as you will get a customer id error when you run the RUU. The phone will not crash as the RUU will never get installed.

Since your device is rooted, either use the 3rd party keyboard app or flash a Custom ROM which support Arabic but I'm not sure which one in Dev's thread has Arabic support. Maybe someone else can recommend one for you.
Or anyone know where to get a custom ROM with ARA base.

me as well. I got the one from singapore. I want to use RUU of Australia. But seems no luck to do that

If its an Arabic ROM you want, you can flash a custom ROM based on the Arabic ROM. Link.

Super CCID the device and than you can flash any RUU!

so I just got my one x and unlocked it via hasoon2000's all in one toolkit
have it rooted.
its running android 4.1.1 JB
3.14.401.27 - SW version
I got the WWE Europe version - imported
and I want to flash another RUU on the phone because I would like to have English UK or US or India on the phone
from what I know, its not possible to flash another RUU on the phone except the oiginal one - am I right???
and I couldnt find any JB RUU for Asia India
any other way of getting stock UK, US, India english rom???

That is the UK ROM.
What exactly do you want? I mean, what's wrong or missing that you want to change?

There probably won't be a difference besides maybe localisation, what are you trying to achieve?

You'd have to flash a custom based on one of those bases.

well its just that I am not in Netherlands or Belgium or Luxembourg
and it keeps on asking me which language I want for the keyboard
are there any custom stock based roms for the base i want??

As said, you can only flash RUUs that are x.xx.401.x as you have an EU handset

Every ROM has multiple languages.
Just go into the keyboard options and switch off the input languages you don't want: long press ',' (the cog) then Keyboard selection and untick the ones you don't want.
