For some reason my WhatsApp can't automatic hibernate. It's always in the 'Not hibernating automatically'. Whenever I manually make it hibernate, I don't receive any notifications or messages unless I open the app. I have the donation version, GCM is checked, keep notifications is checked, I have greenify enabled in both Accessibility and DeviceAdmin.
I do receive further notification and messages after I opened WhatsApp manually. Anyone else has experienced this and/or has a solution to fix this?

I've tried searching in mail settings, and then in app settings but i couldn't find anything regarding notifications for emails (other than playing a sound). But when i'm in the browser, or another app...i dont get any toast notifications. Is this just an OS thing right now, or have a missed a setting somewhere?
Hey all,
After rooting with the root toolkit, I've noticed that I no longer get Google Voice notifications for texts only. For voicemails I get notifications immediately. I have all the notification options checked in the settings, so I'm not sure what's causing it. Has anyone else had this problem and know of any solutions?
Thanks!
Does anyone know how to disable the popup warning message that comes up when you click on an SMS link? It's very annoying.
Thanks!
Block notifications
Hi Matrix 23x,
Have you tried going to settings – sound and notifications – application notifications – choose the application – block notifications “on”?
That should stop notifications for that app completely, but you'll have to decide if that works for you. I don’t see anywhere to choose which notifications to block and which to keep, unfortunately.
Thanks for the response, however I don't want to block SMS notifications. I want to stop having to click "OK" confirming that the link to the SMS I receive is safe for me to view. Hope that makes sense. Thanks!
Same sms warning problem
This started for me 2 updates ago. In the 5, you could fix it in sms settings...with the 6, you cant. Ive tried other apps and it doesnt happen...only the default install. (Which I like)
Every time I receive a group message when Roaming I have to click 'Download' and wait for the message to download before viewing it. This is quite painful when in a large group text.
I use Google Messages as my default Messaging App on my AT&T Note 5. I have enabled 'Roaming auto-retrieve' under Advanced settings but that doesn't seem to have any effect on weather the MMS/Group Message is downloaded automatically or not.
Anyone else have a similar issue? Am I missing something?
Thanks
May want to throw this in the Q&A troubleshooting section.
Have you tried a different messaging app? It would be good to see if this is a blanket issue across apps or not to help determine if app specific problem or system/phone problem.
Have you tried with the setting disabled?
Sorry for the late response.
Looks like a bug with Google Messenger (the setting doesn't make a difference whether it's enabled or disabled). When using the Samsung Messaging App the messages are downloaded automatically.
Thanks
Is there any way to suppress or at least silence emergency alerts on the A50? The options in Messages are all greyed out, and I already tried turning off notifications for Messages entirely. I wouldn't mind if it was just vibrating, but I hate the loud alarm...
I'm using an A505G on T-Mobile in the US.
disable messages and install another one like the one from Google.

I have notifications for the stock Messages app blocked (I use Textra as default now) and it looks like the Messages app can't be entirely disabled-- the option is greyed out.
