Hi,
just want to ask if there is any solution to preform different tasks without touching the watch?
example like showing different notification contents (scrolling) when looking at the watch?
You talking about flipping cards with a wrist motion? Good idea for an app

Hi,
Being a recent convert from Windows Mobile, I'm noticing how the alarms and notifications of applications seems separate from each other rather than integrated. Has anybody else noticed this, or is it just me? Also, what is the technical difference between an alarm and a notification? Everything seems to be a notification rather than an alarm.
Is there any suggested techniques/configuration to ensure all of my apps use the same notifications/volumes etc without me having to go to every single app and configure it? Also is there a way to configure how the vibration works system-wide? Every single app seems to have their own settings and its a bit of a pain. I also prefer a "longer" vibration in case I miss something (the phone is usually in my pocket).
Also does anybody have recommendations regarding applications which can repeat or remind me for missed events? I want a repeat reminder that I have an appointment coming up, or have missed an SMS or a call (but haven't noticed it) or have received an e-mail? I just want something like to remind me every 5 minutes by playing the sound and/or vibrating, for about an hour - mainly just in case I haven't noticed it - but I don't want it going on forever in case I don't have the phone with me and it annoys others!
Thanks,
Ian
I've just downloaded Missed Reminder which does all that I think. Although it's not for calendar reminders, which is annoying.
Hopefully that will change in the future since I can't find anything else that does the same job for calendar reminders - or Google will sort it out and add repeaters.
I was wondering if I could change the setting of my notifications (whatsapp/facebook etc.), in a way that they won't always appear on top.
It is quite annoying when you're gaming, watching a movie, taking a photo or something else.
Maybe I overlooked a setting?
Anyone? I just now had a crash because a whatsapp message wanted to interfere with a game...the game crashed and so did my phone...very annoying!
Normally there's some setting in the app itself that turns off notifications and such like.
Each app will be different.
I should have been more clear: it's not that I want the notifications turned off (this is of course a basic setting that anyone can find), it's just that I don't want them to interfere and/or stop full screen activities such as gaming and taking photos.
They shouldn't do that in the first place. FOr example, i don;t get any issues with facebook notifications and the like coming on screen when i'm watching a movie or playing a game.
It may be that certain apps are a little more forceful than others. in which case, you may have to turn the notifications off fo r those apps, or set them to only vibrate or something.
some apps give various different options for their notifications other than just on or off, like vibrate and flash only.
I have had my watch less than a week. I have watchmaker installed, have downloaded a mickey mouse watchface, and edited it to add features and hot spots to open apps. When left for a long period it changes the face to a plain digital or blank face. Not sure if it is related to receiving notifications or what the trigger is.
Anyone have this happen or any idea what is going on?
Happened to me also only on watchmaker - I'm still trying to figure out what causes it...
Hello all,
i wanted to find out if it is possible to disable notifications on the watch when you are using the phone/phone screen is on?
another question, is it possible to not show whatsapp profile pictures when we get notified on the watch?
last question, is there anyway to dismiss the notification from our watch? if I swipe left to dismiss on the watch, the phone does not get dismissed. presumably I do not wish to reply.
thanks!
I think the first two isn't possible ,
about the third one : it supposed to dismiss the notification on phone when you dismiss on watch .
I'm on AW 2.0 and was used to waking the watch with a gesture and would just swipe to get to the apps list. Is there a way to still do that? Or is waking the watch and pressing the crown the only way? Thanks
Try using a different launcher, but for what was published that is the default of AW2.0
I have always used the wrist gestures facility and find it very convenient, particularly as I don't want to smudge and spoil my beautiful Huawei Watch screen. I was therefore glad to find that in AW 2.0 the whole wrist gesture process works much smoother and quicker.
Whilst I was aware that, when within an app or reading a message, three shakes of the wrist returns the main watch face, I was very pleased to discover today (by accident) that I can now call up the new apps wheel screen with the same three wrist-shake motion, i.e. without swiping the watch face or pressing the crown. Pretty neat. I have had my Huawei Watch since it first came out. Can't stop loving it.
