Can someone discuss about how actually the smartcover works with our T2 ? NFC ? Which sensor plays the role in this feature ?

i have tried that app, it not work on my z1 compact
Not sure but I think Xperia Z1 & Xperia Z1 Compact's digitizer is different. They get pen support on their devices whilst we get glove mode/floating touch support & Pressure detection.
Try looking for some sketch program that supports pen pressure input it works

Incompatible with Z1c, unable to download from market.
Maybe you don't care anymore, but if you download pimp my z1 from the playstore and activate pen mode it works even on the z1c! Tried it myself!
Z1 compact has the glove mode so we do not need to have pen mode.if u want to use pen mode on z1 compact just keep on glove mode the use pen or pencil.it will work like pen mode

Hi,
Monday my wife cracked her Z1 compact display, so I bought a new one and replaced it, phone is working fine again.
But, after the fact, I thought.......might it be possible to use a display from the z3 compact instead? They should have the same size, but the z3 display provides much more screen space.
Anyone tried this?
I am sure she will crack it again so I could try it next time
Compare detailed photos of z1c/z3c displays. I think, they have a different connection wires.

Got news on my prebooked xz. It arriving on monday but im starting to think i orderded the wrong phone.
Having a z2 and from all the spec. They sound quite alike. The camera is not that important
I like vr apps but xz dont have a gyro. Will that be a problem?
Also the screen has the same pixeldensity as mine. Is the screen better on xz vs z2?
Xz is missing barometer and a lot of other stuff but i dont really know what to use the for.

gsmarena says that this phone has a gyro sensor " Sensors
