[Q] Best, inobtrusive case for HTC One M8 - General Accessories

I don't like cases for phones much, and haven't used one before, but the HTC One M8 is so bloody big, it easily slips out of my (shirt) pocket. As well, it's big enough to be slightly unwieldly in my hand, as well as a bit slippery. So I'm considering getting a case for it.
The Dot Matrix case looks really cool, but from whatever I've read, doesn't seem to serve much of a protective function (apart from other complaints about the case not closing properly). If I'm actually going to use a case, I'd like it to offer some sort of protection.
Browsing Amazon for a while, I came across the SUPCASE Unicorn Beetle Premium Hybrid Protective Case which looks fairly good. Does anyone have any experience using this for the HTC One M8? Or the Blason one? Or other recommendations?
tl;dr: I'd like a case for the HTC One M8 which offers some protection, but which is inobtrustive.

[Q] What's the thinnest case for HTC Desire?

I've searched a bit online, but can't find the answer. I have a case, but I think it takes all the beauty away from the phone because it's pretty fat.
What are the thinnest cases for the HTC Desire?
Thanks in advance.
I like the stock Desire leather pouch, it doesnt add anything on thickness.
I actually meant a plastic/rubber/metal case.
Google "Stealth Guards"
They're the kind of screen protector like stickers that cover virtually your entire phone.
Got one on my desire. Feels strange and makes the phone look a bit tacky and cheap but does the job (and is really thin)
There actually giving them away for free as well (you just have to pay p+p)
What if you drop it?
Do check out 'Case Mate Barely There' case for HTC Desire, it fits your requirement well.
thx. you have that one?

Yes, i'm using it and am pretty satisfied by it.
I also have the Barely There Case Mate and I love it.
The quality of it is great.
If you don't want to pay the monies for that case, you can visit netimes.com and find something similar there.
Like this:
http://www.netimes.com/shop/rubberized-back-cover-for-htc-desire-g7-a8181-p-2625.html?cPath=80_753
search on youtube, i got mine (a transparent thin rubber one) after viewing a video there
I also have got the Barely There case-mate. It has several scratches on it already, so i'm very happy not having them on the phone itself!
FYI: It came with a screenprotector, so the whole phone is protected since the case only covers only the back and edges...
if you want protection and yet invisible case, try iDefense

[Q] Nice Case?

Is it possible to find a nice case, that will protect my phone without making it look like a house brick?
Any thoughts?
Check out a "Barely there" case from Case-Mate, its beautiful and my Desire doesn't feel the same without it now!
Dan.
Swyped from my Oxygenated HTC Desire
I believe the above case is only £5 on Play.com and includes a screen protector and cloth!
Excellent finish and highly recommended

Cheers! will definitley check it out, i've got two cases, but both of them make my phone look huge!
In my opinion the best case for a desire is the genuine HTC Pouch PO S520.
It fits the desire perfectly when it stored in your bag but leave its in its physical size when used
istyles are nice, give it a Google, might not be as protective tho...
Otterbox commuter case, very nice and its not too bulky. Had it since I bought my phone and I love it, a little pricey though.

Any tpu case will be the best option, got one from expansys a year ago and it's still rocking. My desire fell on concrete a dozen times and took no damage at all, that's just great...plus it doesn't even stick in the pocket, coz it's not rubberized (silicon cases suck a lot cause of that).
looks cool~~
When I first ordered my Desire, I decided not to add any pouches, rubber cases, screen protectors or anything else that goes around the device, and instead went with the Valenta leather ZIPP case to store the phone whenever it's not actively being used.
Best decision ever After a full year and a few months, the device is still looking great. There's no scratches, no dust, no dirt, and when I'm using the phone it actually looks like it's supposed to.
You can drop the phone with the case, too. I've done it a few times (not on purpose!) and everything still works fine.

I couldn't agree more with you. Slap zagg invisible shield for screen on, and with this pouch you have the ultimate protection which leaves your phone nice and slim.

I don't know how you manage to call almost 30% increase in size not bulky
I bought one for my brother's N900, that thing makes a phone huge. That huge actually that I decided against buying it.

HELP information about different cases

Hi,
I just received my HTC ONE in the mail yesterday and before I go and take the phone out for a night on the town I'd like to get
a case to protect it as best as I could. Unfortunately I'm coming from the HTC HD2 which doesn't have a lot of great cases out
for it so I'm pretty uch at a loss for what I'm looking at. Below are several possibilities of the cases. If anyone has bought any
of the below cases please share your experience. Thanks in advance.

I also seen several other threads about cases and was reading what I could about them but it was so all over the place and a lot
of the cases I have listed was not listed in the thread yet. I know some are generic but I don't mind that as long as it protects
as it should. I also plan to purchase a clear-coat screen protector so that my phone will be covered up quite well.
(I know this might be overkill but coming from someone how has broken a HTC HD2 that has gorilla class I rather be safe then sorry)
Good afternoon bump

Don't have any answers as I don't get my One until the 1st, but I have been stalking the case threads trying to make up my mind. Your list shows options I didn't know existed and makes it even more complicated for me. All of those are in the big and bulky variety that would seem to protect well while totally obscuring the beauty of the phone. Tough decision. Some of them look very cool.
One thing to watch out for is any case that covers the power button will block the infrared blaster used by the remote.
Do you have any favorite you are leaning towards?
You know being honest I was thinking of buying a couple of the generic brand that way I could change up every once in awhile. I want something that'll protect it if it gets dropped but at the same time not bulk it up so much. I know that's a bit of a contradiction. Lol.. I had a Trident case on my Mytouch 4g slide and it protected it quite well but added a lot of extra bulk. That's why I way thinking a off brand might be bulky but maybe they wouldn't use as much material as a name brand, who knows though.

Bump.
I don't want this getting lost in the clutter her on XDA. There are a lot of nice cases I posted and would love any personal info about any of them.

IMO, case-mate tough case and the otterbox defender/commuter series are pretty tough.
All those cases look pretty tough too. You want to be looking at something with a hard shell and a soft shell (inside or outer). The main weakness of a lot of cases imo is the fact that the screen pokes out. If the case has a cover (ie; wallet types or like the defender) or a lot of overall cover that it lifts the phone above the screen, it'll do. The rest of it is aesthetics.
That's a good point that I didn't really think about. I was thinking of getting a clear-coat screen protector for the from screen then the rest keep in a nice case. All of the ones I been leaning towards are the kind with the 2 part design. Some even have 3 part but that really just means it will come with a belt clip, or so it seems. Some of these generic cases look like they would protect so nice that I might buy at least 1 just to tell how well they're built. I mean at $8-$10 the worst thing that could happen is I don't like it. I think what I'm getting at is I'm trying to just talk myself into buying something that's generic since I've always bought oem or high end cases thus far. I'll report back when I have a case in hand.

[Q] Recommend me a tough, protective case

Hi all,
I'm struggling to find a readily available (in the UK at least), tough, protective case for the Moto X (2013).
I'm looking for a case that will prevent my Moto X from being damaged when it is dropped and that doesn't slide around too much when the phone is on a table.
Can anybody help me out?
I ordered a Supcase from Amazon and I've been happy with it.
My two favorite cases (and I have been through a bunch of 'em) are:
Incipio Dual Pro: good dual layer protection, extremely grippy outer shell, excellent button feedback, easily installed and removed.
Cons are the soft touch finish picks up stains easily, and the silicone inner liner is a dust magnet.
Trident Aegis: even more protection than the Incipio, especially on the corners. Button feel is also good.
Cons are it's hard plastic bag is not as grippy as the Incipio, and it is noticeably more difficult to install and remove, and it is a bit larger.
For 90% of my needs the Incipio is the winner.

I use a ballistic sg case its VERY protective and wasn't that expensive
Would you mind providing some links?
Ballistic is a us company so you would likely need to look on eBay or amazon. Just look for moto x ballistic SG case

+1 for the supcase.
only thing i hate on the case is that the color is on the back, not on the rim. my old one was the opposite it was much better.
also, just like the phone without case, if you lay it on the table and use with one finger, the phone will get pushed all over the desk and spin because of the concave back. hate that as well.
all that considered, it was still the least worst.
now they have a transparent back one that does have the color on the rim. i'd get that one. even the dev edition having that lame white back
I have the "smoke" back with the black sides. The back isn't completely clear. I like it though it does get scratched a bit.
I wouldn't say it gets pushed all over, but yes, it can move a bit. I use the calculator on my desk with one finger without much trouble.
I have the basic black stock VZW Moto X. No cool colors or designs.
Still looking!

So you've tried the suggestions in this thread and still have not found one you like? If that is not the case, what are we to make of this post?
I got the supcase and can confirm it's light weight and offer good protection. I also love the feel of the material.
But as with all cases, that one time you try to unlock with the phone resting on a table and the phone moves and spins is enough to drive you mad.
I'm now using a $1.99 case from monoprice. It's also protective and holds the phone to the table as if it were glued! Without holding in your pocket. Very happy with it. I will only use the supcase one now if I'm traveling.

Alll these belt-clip cases, and all so similar, any suggestions which to choose?

Ok, currently I have an HTC M8, and I have been using the i-Blason case for it:
https://www.amazon.com/i-Blason-Holster-Kickstand-Locking-Swivel/dp/B00IGUUKRY/
It was EXACTLY what I was looking for, protects the phone, adds grip, does NOT have a built-in screen protector, and can clip to my belt. The only issue I had is that my first one broke... and I-Blason claimed the warranty only applied if you bought it from their site, not Amazon... but Amazon themselves honored i-Blason's warranty for me.
Anyway, since I am going to upgrade to the HTC M10, I wanted to find a similar case, but ran into some confusion.
First, there is this one:
https://www.amazon.com/HTC-Case-LV-Kickstand-Protective/dp/B01F3AQW1W/
It looks exactly like the i-Blason case, but is not made by them and is quite cheaper... and I tried to find i-Blason's, I found this:
https://www.amazon.com/i-Blason-Kickstand-Holster-Locking-Release/dp/B01EB8TRQ4/
That's their brand, but it looks nothing like what they made before. The reviews aren't as stellar as the cheaper one from another brand that looks like their old model either.
In fact, the original model design seemed to have a LOT of copycats:
https://www.amazon.com/Holster-Protection-Defender-Protective-Release/dp/B01AQMBCVC/
In fact, trying to search for "HTC M10 i-blason" on Amazon, instead of getting you that second link, gets you dozens of the same case in different colors by these guys:
https://www.amazon.com/Evocel®-Generation-Holster-Kickstand-EVO-HTCM10-XX01/dp/B01F67D0YE/
And this has pretty much been my experience with trying to find a case with a belt-clip for the HTC M10, a ton of copycats of the i-blasion M8 design, and I honestly can't tell which one, if any, is good or if the i-blasion brand itself is any good or garbage.
Any suggestions? Or even possible opinions from anyone who got such a case or something similar? I couldn't even find anything by Otterbox, but I doubt I would buy one of those again due to the permanently attached screen protector and the price. I just want a case that protects the phone, adds grip (that M8 was slippery on it's own), and has a belt clip.

I have the Evocel and like it a lot. It reminds me of the old and NLA Seidio case I had on my HTC One for several years. In fact, it really looks like a direct copy of the Seidio. It is an excellent case at a ridiculously low price.
