It is not APK but need bluetooth ADB to install. Detail install guide is in download file.
If anyone install and play it please let us know.
Or if someone can make a easy install package without involve adb command line maybe good.
I tried it out. It works relatively well but the big problem is that there isn't really any apps that are designed to take text input. For example, in hangouts, you can only do voice reply and canned responses, there's no option to enter custom text to actually pull up the keyboard.

Nice find. the download link isnt working
I'd install this otherwise and report back if I could
Link is back up for those that are interested. It's a real pain to install but fun to play with. There is no way to respond to texts with it or anything, completely experimental (from all that I have gathered). That being said, it's not too bad to use and pretty accurate!

So it doesnt work with wear messenger?
I just installed it and it works quite well, it looks very promising but unfortunately it can't be used when replying to a notification such as a Hangouts or Whatsapp notification. You are still stuck with the voice or limited canned responses. I think it will work with any application that uses text boxes though. Hopefully the Android Wear 2.0 (or whatever version they will call it) which will be released on October 15 will bring some way to use the keyboard when replying to notification cards.
Installed it yesterday work well work with wear messenger without problems

Thanks. Good to know it work well with wear messenger. You may can write mail to their team to report battery issue.
Can someone help? I am at the point in the instructions where my phone is connected via USB though ADB and have the bluetooth debugging on (and usb debugging on on both devices). But the command
adb forward tcp:4444 localabstract:/adb-hub; adb connect localhost:4444 does not work.
Anyone know what I have to do to get that command to function?
Thanks.
Hey,
you have to seperate the command. First enter the first part until the semicolon and then the remaining connect prompt.

You sure about that? On my 360, when I send a test text to myself and choose the option to respond with Wear Messenger, it just shows a checkmark as if I sent something already but never lets me respond in any way, let alone type using this keyboard app.
Anyone else??
Yes I am sure I send sms and hangouts without problems but now I uninstalled keyboard because it battery eater

Then why for me and others does it only show a checknark icon and then nothing happens, it doesnt let you input text when you try to reply to a hangouts sms with the 'reply with WM' option?
Can anyone else confirm? Because this works really well and I want to be able to use it..
Also, i cant imagine why this would cause battery drain. Wonder if its really due to it or not..
Do you enabled keyboard and set it
Yes I choose an option answer with WM and after that in wm I have a mic icon in one side and keyboard on other and yes I actually answered with keyboard

need help installing to 360
I'm a noob and really am not familiar with using adb. Does anyone know of a video somewhere showing step by step instructions on how to install this on my 360? I did a search online with no luck. Thanks!
Pretty damn good for a first beta. It does seem to use a little bit more battery, but I still have no issue getting through a full day. Watch has been off charger since 7:30AM, and it's now 11:32PM and I have 27% left. I can't wait to see some updates! I actually used it at work today several times. Quite handy when I need to be audibly discreet.
I didn't think a keyboard on a watch was even a sensible idea, but I'm prepared to give this a shot.
Finally got this installed. IT'S FREAKING AMAZING with Wear Messenger. WOW! I have Textra working again so my notifications work great. I can read the whole conversation and send the messages and they update as I send. The swiping is pretty darn accurate. This just makes me love my MOT0360 even more .

Hello all,
Wanted to share that I was able to install the cab file taken from the palm messing that was found in the MDA section of xda-developers.com forum, can't find the thread now sorry!!!!!! But I was able to install and get the program to send text messages out, but it will not thread because in the registry couldn't I couldn't change the sms key to sms.old
In the Dash registry it was a lil different than the MDA, if anyone could help would be greatly appreciated. I know it's simple just not sure, still neebe but willing to learn and try!!!!!!!!
Yes..someone please get this to work. As i'm sure we are all coming from MDA or similar devices. I was one of the lucky ones to get the threaded sms app from Palm working on my device. It's definitely nice. Don't get me wrong the 2 sms threader apps that are available now: sms threader & TXTMAN are nice..but they have some big tradeoffs that didn't occur on the Palm version.
umm..wow..it really does work. I did the normal instructions from the "How-To"... no notification sounds for it though. Im sure a little registry hacking could fix that. Everything threads hmm..testing mms..well i actually i cannot test..just realized I can't even navigate anymore lol. Pressing the back key closes the program. ARGHH! you can get around the smiley's and Mytext just buy bringing up the option but other than that it looks like a dead end. Any suggestions?

I was using the cab file for the ppc and I haven't been able to get it work like it was working on the MDA. Tried all kinds things in the registry, but nothing seemed to work.
Then I finally got the thread to work but all together lost MMS, As for your situation did you make the registry tweaks to sms and mms1 and change them to .old? Not to familiar with 1.5 and assuming it may have to have the same setup. If I find anything I will let you know.
For now I have taken it off and it required for me to reset the phone and start all over. So once again I will be working on the aforementioned issues.
I didnt do the registry entries, I wasnt able to find them on BB's site.
The version I have is branded as "SmartPhone" vs the PPC version which I also have.
I think it is for the older processor type maybe?
G
ok, found the info on BB's site and made the registry changes as well as the app unlock.
VC still refuses to run on my Dash, all I get is "VoiceCommand has encountered a problem, restart voice command"
Noticed that voice comand also completely breaks the built in voice dialing

I also need the smartphone version. If one of you good hearted souls can assist with this. thanks in advance.
I installed it today and set it up for a tablet as per the app's instructions, even shortened the confirmation time a bit, but it seems to not work for my A7 set-up (Dextermod 1.3, no additional patches).
Has anyone tried this app? Does it work for you?
Update: it just froze my tablet...all except the live wallpaper. With some acrobatics I was able to disable it and uninstall. It's too bad...seems like a great app. I would just like to know why the incompatibility?
Hi, Im the developer of the app. Lets see if we can fix your problem... you are the first I know of with the Elocity tablet!
You can use the free aLogcat app from the market. Run it, then Killswitch, then after the crash send the text you see to me via PM or to [email protected]
Ok, thanks I will try that. It should be a really convenient app to use.
Hello again, im working on improvements to Killswitch this week! Did you ever send the logcat?
We get a lot of them, and people often forget to name their device and problem so all we get is text!
I couldn't get it to do athing at all the second time so I never sent the log. I'll put VB kl ky try again soon. Thanks for your support.
Did you manage to fix the issue? my killswitch is working well now.
Hello everyone, I'm a total noob here, and I have been searching my butt off trying to figure out how to try and get the music beta app working on the TP2. I am running froyo7. It seems that in my build. android market thinks that my phone is a Mid-Tex Cellular, when I am actually a sprint customer. Now before anyone say "search" I have I have been reading up how to edit my build.prop, watching youtube videos on how to as well, with a lot of google searching on the side. I am getting most of my info for different phones and don't know if these codes will work.
In my search the closest that I found was this quote from this thread...
"When using this ROM my device shows up as "Mid-Tex Cellular" on the Android Market.
Is there any way to change this?
..............................................
change the line in build.prop that is closest to this to this:
ro.com.google.clientidbase=android-google-us
it should have come as this out of the box
ro.com.google.clientidbase=android-sprint-us"
When I look in my build.prop I can't find anything close to this?
A little help for a worthless noob would be awesome.
Well first I would simply try adding that line to your build.prop. Just because it isn't there doesn't mean you can't add it .
As for Google Music, I am a member of the service but haven't messed with the app on my phone. Only listened to it on the webUI. I guess I need to try on my phone .
Edit - did you just try installing the apk directly? Seems like a much easier solution...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1072655
Edit 2 - just installed that apk myself, works fine. For some odd reason I can only get it to show local music tho, I don't see any of my music that's "in the cloud"... hum.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate it. I searched like crazy for music beta, and never came up with that thread... I am going to try it as soon as my lazy phone decides it wants to work. LOL
This is what I am talking about with the Mid-Tex Cellular, I have gone to the web site, the market etc... and it wont allow it to install. So this is why I was thinking about changing the build.prop, but I don't exactly know how to... I have searched, but I don't know if I can just add some random code from my first post and have it work?

Fine! Be that way... Now I don't need to because it seems to be working perfectly. The sound out of the headphones is great, but the external speaker is really quiet. All in all, God I love android! Thank you everyone.
Not sure if this is already a known thing or not but I wanted to share my latest find.
You can install any apk onto your smartwatch! This works for any smartwatch on Android Wear. Now I won't take any credit for discovering this it all goes to the guy who posted the guide. I can't post links yet since I'm a new user but if you Google corbindavenport you should easily be able to find the guide.
In the guide there's a very detailed guide as to how to install any application, what you can and can't install and even links to apps that would add a lot of functionality to the phone like an app which rotates your other applications by setting their orientation and an app that keeps the watch on at all times or even lengthens the watch's on-time before it fades.
I've personally gotten the orientation app and temple run working on my watch. If you've already installed Microsoft's keyboard you should know what to do.
Here's to many more discoveries to come. I'm in love with this watch and it seems every day I find something new to add to the love.
Is this where you start?
http://corbindavenport.com/?p=167
Yeah, thanks for posting the link!
Glad you enjoyed it
Thanks to share. Finally I can set my watch to always on which in some sitution I need to show the nice watch face. And thanks much for Corbin to work it out and write very clear and detail instruction. Now I finally satisfied with my 360.
If you turn on watch always, battery will go down around 1% per minute. Just to share with others.
Since now can install any APP on watch, now I try to find a music app can work so I can push all local songs to watch to play. The google music player is not easy to control even can upload my own songs but not efficient. So far I tried different app none of them can run on watch. So if anyone fins one please let me know.

It actually works pretty well, because you can still turn the screen off manually (by covering with your palm), and it will automatically turn on when you look at it and stay on until you turn it off manually again...

Did you enable USB debugging on your Note 4 and enable bluetooth debugging in the Android Wear app + watch itself? You could also try running 'adb kill-server' and try again.
Thanks for helping me realize I was an idiot. I totally skipped over the Enabling Debugging on the watch part. Seems to be installing now. It's been a good 5 minutes and this thing is still processing, rather than give me the error messages from before. Let's see if it works in the end

Awesome app. Very accurate especially for a small keyboard. Only thing was that I didn't like how it bundled all my notifications on my phone. Also would suggest Suggestions for misspelled words, like if I spell dfg, it should show me options dog, dig etc but doesn't seem to give me suggestions for misspelled words only for completing the correct spelled words. Also (and I'm sure its in the works for future release), swipe would be an awesome feature. will continue using this beta version as it is very well stable version for daily use. (Using it with Asus Zenwatch 2)

We are glad that you like Drextee Messenger! Thank you very much for your feedback! Regarding bundling notifications, that part is still a work in progress and most probably will change in future versions.
Misspelling which happens because of the small size of keys (i.e., fat finger errors) can be easily corrected by dragging finger on the keyboard. Please see the demo: https://youtu.be/Bvlk3_4MOvA?t=28s
Using this technique for correcting errors is much faster than pressing the backspace and retyping, specially when the error happened a few letters before.
We are working on a technique which makes typing much faster. Please stay tuned and let us know your feedback. We are listening!
