I have downloaded all of the modems from Rwilco's site to test and see which one works best for my area as there are times that my phone will not connect to data.
When I click the pda button and go to the modem zip file it does not show up because it is looking for a tar file.
So, are all of the modems available in a tar format, do I select all files and load the zip, or can I just extract the zip files and flash the modem.bin by itself?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Wrong section, but whatever. I'm not 100% but I'm pretty positive you can just flash the modem zips right with your recovery. Also, the app mobile oden may be worth looking into. Jl I'm sure will chime in here & maybe give you a definite answer, but like I said, rwilco I believe has zips & can be flashed in recovery. I been away from note 2 for a while, & as a wifi only toy there's no need me to look into it, & my memory is ridiculous. Hope this helps.
Edit - I just took a peak. Yeah, don't even need to mess with Odin, rwilco has zip format

If file is .zip then use recovery. If file is .tar.md5 then use Odin. If file is .rar then it needs to be uncompressed.

Thanks. Loaded a recovery on it and all is good.

Pardon me for the mistake. No need to be a phallus about it.
I did a search for modems on my model and this is the section that came up.
Thank you for the move Mod.

Sorry you took it wrong. The statement was not towards you or your question which I did answer by the way. It was about the mods not doing anything in the l900 forums. If you want to start name calling that is fine be a little kid and have fun. Not my fault you take a statement personal. If you would like me to act like a d!ck I could but I am not that childish.

I apologize. The way I read it is that you were calling my post junk. If you worded your post more clearly, perhaps along the lines of "It's about time the mods moved the post to the correct area" it would not have left it open for misinterpretation.

That's alright. It's all good. You will find most needed stuff in the stickies at the top of the sub-forums. At the top of General is qbking77's 67 videos to help with just about everything and each video includes links. So the video on how to return to stock would also have a link to a tar.

Holy Crap, you are like right around the corner practically. Feel free to PM me if you need more help.
I am rooted with Mortify ROM right now, but I keep getting a system update message. It only gives me the options to install it now or later. Will this screw up my phone, cause it is working fantastic for once and I don't want to have to go through a whole mess to make it work again.
TIA
It won't screw it up. It will fail, and then you will do a battery pull and restart it. It will, however, continue to pop up several times a week until you use the search to find the permanent solution.
(Hint: its several posts down and titled something like "running clean GB and prompted to update to FC09).

The permanent fix is to modify your build.prop to reflect you have fc09 instead of fb15 fc09 is the latest ota that's why your getting that notification. I will link you the how to. But to do it you use terminal emulator and follow the commands.

Ok now I'm all garbled. If off topic is the topic, then my being off topic is really being on topic meaning that it doesn't belong here because this is solely for off topic.
It would have been easier and less confusing to call it general discussion or something like that.

Try these steps outlined by Clark. I haven't used the app though.
Open the Wifi Tether App
2. Press Menu
3. Press Settings
4. Choose "Change Device-Profile"
5. Choose "Samsung Galaxy Nexus (CDMA/LTE)"
6. Press Back twice to return to inital app screen
7. Press the huge WiFi Signal icon
8. Allow Superuser Permissions
9. Start Tethering

Currently, we have Wild and Doc doing most (all?) the modem pulls. People get busy with real life, and sometimes cannot be around to pull new modems as they are released.
I am pulling them as well (have I5 now before posted on board), and can upload them somewhere for people, but was not sure about public reception since I only have 20 posts. If you want to see some of my other work, you can Google me. You can also wait until Doc uploads his version then verify that the MD5 on his modem.bin matches mine (updater-script will not match).
I've made a script to pull modems, and can share that as well, if people want. Be advised that my prepackaged modems do not create a modem.backup file. Instead, I've created a directly flashable UVLEM zip file in it's place, as I feel this is a better solution.
Go ahead and post if people don't want to flash they won't but I prolly will

Wouldn't you just put the phone into download mode and flash the stock image back to the phone in Odin?
IIRC it even replaces the stock recovery/kernel and un-roots the device too.
