Hey guys,
Please no jokes about the title lol
Just curious. I know it needs to be charged every night, but sometimes I take a nap and I leave it on my wrist. It doesn't bother me at all, and I can take advantage of sleep tracking applications.
What about you?
I don't wear it to sleep cause I'm afraid of cracking the back if I move around in my sleep
Sent from my HTC6525LVW using Tapatalk
I wear mine overnight, I take it off and put it on charge while I shower in the morning to top it up (~10-15 minutes)
I plan on using sleep tracking, it is one of the primary reasons I bought one, have you found any good apps?

Like chaco said, Sleep as Android is a good one and it gives you tons of options.
I do, but only because I cheat with the pedometer by... Using my wrist.
Just tried sleep as android last night, it worked great, it tracks watch movements and records anything loud (like snoring), and it tries to predict your rem/deep sleep cycle based on your movements.

How much battery did it use while you were sleeping?

Yeah I worried about that so I charged from 50% to 90% before going to bed but it only drained to 75% or so

I've bought/installed BetterBatteryStats to help get a handle on an issue that I thought had to do with wifi activity, and noticed the biggest process identified in my case was "events/0".
Other users are having the same issue I've seen from other threads:

rooting or not has NOTHING TO WITH THE ISSUES!!
- I have had a stock phone since the day it came out, and have "watchdog lite" installed, watchdog alerts me about 10-15 times a day that "suspend", "events/0", and "base system" in my phone are using over 50% CPU while the phone is sleeping...

Here's a thread on it (without any solid info) on the international GSII forum:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1248844
What is "events/0"?
Also note a couple days worth of monitoring my battery relative to wifi:
(the SGSII thread mentions the correlation between the "events/0", sleep, wifi, and battery life also):

I had to plug it in around 8:30 as you can see.
My wifi was on all day and connected, since I didn't leave the house.
I've changed the wifi sleep setting today, so we'll see if that makes a change.
The only other thing I changed yesterday was from the stock wind weather live wallpaper to a koi Pond live wallpaper, good reviews and no mention of battery issues that I saw).
I'm suspecting the wifi but interested to hear any "eureka" discoveries.

Note on this chart where a gentle slope turns into a precipitous drop, corresponding exactly with the wifi being turned on in the bar below.
Then, a Monday (at work all day, with wifi sleep setting essentially leaving wifi off unless the screen is on).
During the week, I work fairly long hours... wifi off... Still 50% or 60% left at 8 or 9 pm, even better with the wifi sleep policy changed:

Today, great battery life...
... As long as my wifi wasn't on:
What's the deal?
Definitely a correlation between WiFi and battery drainage.
Just leaving work, thought I'd post this to show the effects of that wifi sleep setting.
But this is a problem!

BetterBatteryStats is showing "events/0" as the main consumer.
The above plots show some direct correlations to wifi-on time, to some significant battery drain - I think this seems significant.
Hi,
I got mine this morning.
Set it up and it all went smooth until i noticed the drop down menu on the web browser started going fuzzy. the whole image went weird for about 5 seconds then came back.
The other thing i wanted to point out is that the battery life is terrible, Infact terrible is an understatement. It only lasted about 20 mins and kept beeping to recharge, i am planning to charge it for 8 hours then test it again before flushing it down the toilet.

You need to charge to phone before using it. It doesn't come pre-charged usually.
this thread made me laugh
I don't and will never use the word troll.
Theres no way a phone this size will make it round the S-bend of a toilet. Do you eve know how much Dyno-Rod charge to unblock sanitation pipes!?!?! Don't do it!!!
In Egypt I see donkeys almost everyday but you take the cake. You should not be allowed near a HTC or a toilet for that matter. Jackass.

Forget that, guys. This thing is a joke -- when I put my ear next to the headphone jack, I can't even hear any music coming out, and when I put the phone on top of my printer it wouldn't print my photos either.
HTC are obviously idiots and this is the worst. Phone. EVER!!!!!1!111!ONES
Lol this guy is probably trying to charge the phones with the earbuds. THE BATTERY WONT STAY CHARGED!
Please remember to charge new devices before using them. Failure to do so will cause horrible battery life.

Usually I can go a full 16 hour work day without needing an extra charge, then last week it started not holding the charge so well. In fact Tuesday it had 30% and I left the house for half an hour, and when I came back the phone had shut off and was at 0. I hadn't even touched it. I am on a mix of Wi-Fi and LTE. Anyway, that was odd. Now look at the battery usage...

My android system has been going crazy the last week or so, usually would be at 5% our do but lately has been 40+ easy... been to lazy to wipe and re flash as I'm sure that will fix the issue, but lately I've been near power all the time so it hasn't really bothered me.

I flashed with Highonandroid and got 30+ hours. Probably could have gotten double if I didn't kill half of it installing all my apps back on.
What rom are you using?
On the stock image I was only getting 9 hours.

if you are not using a phone, turn it off and the battery will hold charge for many, many days.
I was always unsatisfied with my battery life, but now it's gone too far!
1. No matter how long I charge it, at the very second I unplug it it goes down to 99%.
2. It doesn't even go down correctly, one moment it's 65% and the other it's 58%. Always.
3. It drains soooooo fast even though I do nothing with it!!!!
Here are some pictures
1. This is 17 minutes after unplugging it, all I did was to put music on [earphones] and check if my girlfriend was online on Whatsapp.

2. That's after a minute and a half, 2% less, doing nothing but listening to music with my screen off!
3. One minute later..
4. Sixteen minutes later, phone is idle and untouched [not even music, I started my shift]
5. Again, idle.
It lasts 3 hours tops!!!! What the hell do I do.

This app already told you the culprit! Your getting wakelocks so an app you installed is keeping the device awake all the time. The rest is for you to figure out partner . Use the search function on XDA and you will find all the info you need.

Ok might be but to the level where the phone doesn't last 3 hours? That's not cool. It should be lasting more even with heavy using.

yeah you're right, it should last more anyway! maybe it's the rom.. what rom are you using? or maybe the battery failed. it happened to me with another phone, basically i was in the seaside with about 38°C the phone was boiling hot, the battery was fully charged but in about 20 mins it was at 5% without even using it then it died. since then that battery never worked again and i had to buy a new one. do you remember if you had a similar situation or if your phone overheated for any other reason (maybe while charging or near a heat source)?

I use Android Revolution HD.
It got heated a few times but not too hot, and besides, I read that it happens to everyone..
While we have VOOC and (some of us) a spare battery lying around, we could all use more battery life when we're away from a wall outlet. So..
Post your battery stats/power consumption details along with any steps you took to achieve it.

Stock Oppo Color OS
Stock Kernel
Google Now OFF
Low Manual Brightness
Bluetooth On
GPS On
Keylights Always OFF
Vibrate on Touch OFF
Greenify: NONE
Snapdragon Battery Guru: LEARNING
[There is a very small part where the battery charged while attached to a computer due to syncing over a few songs. I only seem to recall that battery going up by 1% at this time]
Anyone have any suggestions?
After installing snapdragon battery Guru i mentioned verry low speaker audio during phone Calls. uninstalling fixed the behavior.
anyone else.

That was with about 3 hours of gps on and using Google maps and a route planner for my deliveries today. I don't know if that's good as I've yet to use it like this before.
I have all off screen and on screen gestures turned off except the 3 fingers for screen shot. Auto brightness and wifi was off today as well.
The other day I let my phone idle for 9ish hours while I slept and I lost 4%, that was also putting the cell data to edge though.
I also use the greenify app, not the built in greenify. Haven't messed with the built in greenify does it work the same way?
Tapped out on my beastly OPPO Find 7a
This has got to be a bug...
Unplugged, drove to work and noticed no drain on the monitor.
The phone was trickle charged by my router though overnight, not through the OEM charger
I disabled the gestures, that helped a lot.
