i found the way. I use the usb/bt joystick center, you can find info in youtube (the web dont let me post external links yet)
Now i can play with my brother snes games, n64 games.
For neo geo games i use neo.emu, this emulator is great, its recognizes 2 amazon controllers, i can play with other ppl by my side. its great.
if you need help with the usb/bt joystick center settings, maybe, i can help you
if anyone knows how to play mame games with the mame4droid 0.139u1, pls, comment here or post a link for that.
sorry for my bad english, xiaooo

I'm actually curious how you got the usb/bt joystick center to actually find anything. When you do a search, it locks up during the scan.

Muy afc connects automatic to the aftv. What i do is open The USB/bt app And after that take off/un a battery. Then un the app use The search botton. Un my case the app find The 2 controllers.
I can chance the configuration, add more controllers, bottons, etc.
Im using a custom launcher and have a xpose instale and one addon(hdxpose) or something line that

Interesting, which version of the USB/BT App are you running?
What happens to me is it keeps saying searching and after 5 mins, the app closes. 2 different versions of that do it.
this is the usb/bt joysitick apk.
is free in googleplay. i uploaded to dropbox link

Just wanted to get some knowledge of what works with a pad on the S3.
I'm using a £3.00p pad from Amazon, the mock ps3 one, which works suprisingly well, it's wired. No need for any extra apps to work, works in menu's too, no need for root access either, just plug and play over USB OTG.
Just noticed that the price has doubled to £6.95p

Hi!
Add Virtual Tennis Challenge. It works very well with a wired PS3 Sixaxis Controller.
Regards, folgui.
Max Payne, CS portable , PS3 Bluetooth.
max payne, nova3, dead trigger, battlefield bad compagny 2, NeoDroid .
I know that a lot of games can be played using the six axis app, but they aren't natively supported.
Do you know of any that are? Besides whats been already linked to?
Many thanks.
Oh thread got moved, i'd have thought that this be a general thing?
I've been "collecting" lots of games such as Batman, Spiderman, Final Fantasy, etc games from the Play Store anticipating using them on my Ouya... but now I am not so sure. Looks like they use their own store to pump apps and games through. I would hate to pay for the same game twice through different stores when using the same platform. I've done some homework and looks like the answer is "NO" they won't play out of the box but we are able to side load the apk files off of a USB. What are some comments on this?
Also, the reason I am really interested in the Ouya is the "controller" support. Any Android gamer should know that getting multiple controllers to read and operate independently is a real pain. On my MK808 Android Stick, each controller maps out the same, so both controllers function as Player 1. I REALLY love the option to have up to 4 controllers work for up to 4 players. I know they sell their own Controller, but does this work with existing bluetooth controllers such as a Moga or PS3 SixAxis (if MAC is paired via PC).
It launched today in Best Buy and I'm thinking of Picking one up. I know eventually the devs will hack it to do some crazy stuff but the controller support is VERY important. If I can't link up additional players, then I might as well stick to my MK808.
Long story short:
Can you side load an emulator and play 2-4 players (Mario Kart)?

I havent tried sideloading any purchased games but I have a purched utility app that wont work but the free version does, Has to do with drm. But I've heard people having success sideloading gta not sure if they were using a cracked version or not.

Yes Side-loading works it mostly depends on the game... some paid games from the play store wont work because they need to authenticate with the play store to prove you bought the app. Also some apps simply don't work because they don't support controllers...
also as for your question about controllers yes it does support PS3 controllers I've seen several videos of people using them, not sure about others though... I think someone said Xbox 360 controllers work through USB but as long as your controller is either USB or Bluetooth it should work.
As for your last question about multiplayer There is an emulator for free in the OUYA store called Mupen 64 and it does support up to 4 players so you would just need to get a copy of the Mario 64 ROM and you could play Mario kart 4 players. Not sure about other emulators though it really depends on if the emulator supports multiplayer.
Hope this helps!

The subject of should OUYA outright support the Play Store is something highly talked about on the forums (If you're interested: ) I've come to the conclusion that no, it should not be supported for the sake of both the OUYA and the gamers. WIth that said, you can always try sideloading paid apps and see if they work. If the game calls the Google Infrastructure as DRM, it will not work, but if the game only has local DRM and you manage to remove it (I know nothing about that) or there is no DRM at all, it will work. I have a few paid apps that work perfectly. One warning, though, I know for sure Square Enix games do not work without hacking the apk.
The controller support is awesome! There are other threads about confirmed controllers working, but I know for sure the SixAxis, Wiimote, and WIRED 360 (not the play and charge pack) controllers all work.
As to answer your question, this thing works as a great emulator machine. I've messed with a few emulators and they all support multiplayer, some even support multiplayer over network (i.e. between 2 OUYA's, may even work cross platform, like PC-OUYA or OUYA-Phone/Tablet, but I do not know for sure). I have not tried any over network play, but theoretically it should work.
For the most part you don't need to sideload any emulators, as most are already on the OUYA store. In fact, I wouldn't recommend using any sideloaded emulators unless you have to (i.e. none in the store) because they just won't work as well with the controllers or TV.
With that said, if absolutely nothing else (and there is a lot more I love about the OUYA), this thing is a GREAT emulator machine! Buy yourself a 500GB external HD, throw on all your games from the old 2600 to PS1 and you can play them all. They even have a semi-working DS emulator, along with a PSP one confirmed on it's way! There is even an NES emulator that has it's own indie game store built in!
Bottomline yes, it can do what you want and if you're into it for mainly emulation, you can't go wrong.
Yes sideloading works, I've played N64 with 3 people on Mario Kart 64.
I have 2 ouya controllers and a usb controller, worked perfectly fine. You just need to set the player controller number. SNES and N64 emus have the options to bind a specific controller to player 1 2 3 4 etc
Perfect! The controller was the big issue because like I said, other devices work with 1 device, but multiple controllers all read as Player 1. Even Mugen64. It isn't the emulator but the actual OS and how it handles controllers.
So I am super excited that lots of controllers are working. I have a Wireless 360 (PC Dongle), Sixaxis, Corded PC gamepad, and a Moga, along with a slew of Wii Controllers. I really just need a few controllers working at the same time for when friends come over and stuff. The software I am not too overly concerned about. I'd rather have games available that are SPECIFICALLY designed for the OUYA then a slew of mixed supported games.
I'm really wanting to pick one up. I already have a few 500+gb HDD's laying around I can dump roms too. Even my old 16gb USB Stick would suffice for most stuff.
Controller issues ans Play Store apps with costs
Hey guys,
this should be the right thread for my current main issues with the Ouya.
1. Yesterday I had some friends over and we tried to play Bombsquad with three controllers. I have two Ouya controllers and as the Ouya and also Bombsquad support other controllers like PS3 and Xbox gamepads I tried to connect a third controller. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to connect any of them (of course the Ouya controllers work fine). It seems thet the console doesn’t even recognize something being connected via USB. I tried to connect a Dualshock 3 Playstation controller via cable, a Xbox (wireless) gamepad via cable and a Xbox controller for windows (wired, Razer Onza TE). None of them were recognized by the system, neither in the game nor in the Ouya main menu.
Is there any special setting I have to apply in order to get them to work?
I know there is also the option to connect smartphones or tablets to play Bombsquad, but this is not an option because I have 5 controllers lying around and I rather want to make use of them instead of playing on my phone.
2. Also, I have a problem with the Google Play Store I installed on the console. I followed the instructions from the forum (Rooting the Ouya, installing Xposed framework, installing the Google Plus Store app). After starting the app for the first time I typed in my account detail and everything worked fine. However, I only have access to the free apps in the store and not to the apps which cost money.
How do I get access to the whole Play Store with all the apps?
Thanks for your answers and please let me know if you need further information.

Multiplayer games depend on what you like. My son & I are enjoying Bombsquad and justo got Sev Zero. For having friends over the You Don't Know Jack Party & Fibbage is alot of fun and Asphalt 8 is pretty good.
So far, I have MAME4droid (0.139u1) working OK on some roms but better yet I have Nostalgia.NES working pretty damn good. Was able to map the keys on my NYKO PlayPad Pro and I'm happy with it.
Still have plans to try a few more emulators, but am happy with playing SMB & Galaga on Nostalgia.NES

I havent had any luck getting Nostalgia NES to map. Even trying to use a mouse and keyboard to move to the button Im trying to map, I cant get it to map nor can I get any games to launch. Maybe it doesnt like the Amazon controllers.
snes9xex works great and buttons map well.
epsxe works great too, buttons map well, I've been playing two player ps1 games on it using a ps4 controller and the firetv controller.
Im losing my mind trying to map these controllers to work with emulators. Can someone explain to me like Im 3 how to map these damn Fire controllers and get the sticks, etc to work? My latest attempt was ePSXe. I can get the buttons and the analog pad to work but I cant get the sticks to work. Ive yet to get any emulator to the point I can actually play it and Ive messed with pretty much every one out there... Id be deeply grateful if someone could give me mapping for ePSXe, Nostalgia NES and Snes9xex.
Im seriously regretting not buying a controller that actually has profiles in these things. Im about to throw a controller through the TV.

on epsxe I've got my left stick X analog mapped to Axis X, left stick Y is mapped to Axis Y, right stick X is mapped to Axis RX, and right stick Y is mapped to Axis RY. L2 trigger is Axis_brake and R2 is Axis_gas. go to 'preferences', then 'player 1 input preferences', then 'map axis'.
PPSSPP works fantastically. I spent the entire day yesterday playing Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep on it. Plus you can upscale the graphics so it looks even better than the ps3 version.

I think the best you can do if the game you want to play doesn't have a controller set up page, like emulators do, is play moga optimized games using the xposed app found here to make the ouya control look like a moga to the game: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2359390
There is also the "tincore" App ! You have to map the controller actions to places on the touchscreen, so you can play games without controller support. There are some threads an ouyaforum.com sideloading, whre you can get support. It is possible to load profils for each game from the net, so you need not make your own.
I do not use tincore!

Just bought a ouya controller ($17.99) at bestbuy online. I like old emulator games and sports games, but up until now haven't done much gaming on fire tv. I noticed NHL2k15
Has anyone tried this on fire tv? Also if there are any other games like NBA2k14 or 15 let me know if they work well on aftv. What I mean is are they made for touch screen devices? If so is there a way to make them playable with the controller. I have NBA 2k14 but as far as I can tell it's a touch screen version that works fine on my son's tablet but I can't find a way to change the settings to work with the ouya or any other gamepad.
Really it's an open question and any info is good and appreciated. Thanks.

The only way around this I can think of is if you had root on your AFTV. You could try using an application called tincore keymapper which would enable you to map physical buttons as touchscreen gestures. Also, there are some good sports games available to play via emulators. Try using a Playstation emulator such as Espxe or FPSE. Theres lots of sports games for that.
