Would like to know how to remove a default permission i allowed an app to basically replace the default kindle launcher (carousel).
The issue is that my Kindle is not rooted, and when it starts up it wants to use this app that happens to "stop unexpectedly" so my Kindle basically does not have a way to launch anything and now its in a way bricked.
My question is.. is there any way to delete a permission from the sdcard anywhere or is there a way to fix this issue without having any recovery apps installed already?
Solution - Although that error message will keep coming up... Plug in your Kindle allowing it to sync to your computer when that happens.. every now and then the top menu bar will come up and you just have to quickly tap it to remove that default setting.
[Edit:] I tried to help then noticed it was solved while I was writing.
I installed my personalised rom on my phone and during installation I got this FC. Anyone knows how to repair this?? Btw, I tried to delete non essential apps from /app
I keep getting this error message that quickly flashes on my screen. It say something like "error loading widget, uninstall and reinstall widget. I have no idea which widget the message is referring to. I have not installed any new apps or widgets in a month or so. Is there a log somewhere that may have details of the error? Or maybe an app that can help? I don't understand why the error message doesn't just point out which app is causing it. Thanks
I am having the same issue and can not figure this out. I have deleted all the widgets check to see if they were on the ext sd card, tried different launcher etc... And still the same issue.

Did you ever find a solution? I removed all of the widgets I remember installing. I still get the error message. The error doesn't seem to effect the performance of the tablet but if there is an app that's constantly trying to load and failing maybe it is somehow effecting performance. Anyway it's just very annoying. I may just reset everything and start over.
I did a factory reset and all is good now no more error.
I removed this "widget" without backup because I incorrectly assumed it was one of those widgets you put on the home screen. Anyways my settings app is bricked (I get "Unfortunately settings has stopped working" whenever trying to open settings) and after digging around on google I found removing com.lge.sui.widget is the issue.
Is there anyway I can restore this dependency? I have a stock backup on my computer that I'd rather avoid using it if possible.
Alternatively, is there any way I can change input methods without going through settings? I cannot enable any new keyboards because they require me to go through the settings > language & input service, which causes an error message whenever I try to access it directly or through my keyboard apps. However I can switch between the keyboards I currently have enabled just fine.
I found a 3rd party app that changes wifi settings without going through the settings app, is there any similar app for enabling keyboards? If there was such an app, I wouldn't need to go through settings for anything else saving me the trouble of finding this com.lge.sui.widget or reinstalling android.
My phone is LG D850 (G3)
Just flash the kdz again without the wipe option, is the only way.. I made that error in my G2 and g3
Downlod .zip file of your ROM, copy .apk to location and set its permissions. Then reboot your phone and it should work.
Hello everybody,
Prior OOS 4.x.x I was able to locate the OnePlusOTA.apk in the system files and stop the annoying persistent icon from occupying space, as well as the activity to it that drains battery. But now after the N update there is no such apk or at least I haven't been able to find it, so if anyone has an idea what to do to get rid of that service, please help.
P.S. I have a note from before that says I shouldn't try to disable SystemUpdate service via MyAndroidTools so this is probably a no-go.
Thanks in advance!
Go to Settings > Apps
make sure show system apps is checked
look for System Updates and disable app

I checked there before, now checked again and there's no option to disable it, it's grayed out. Force stop would not persist upon reboot.

EDIT: This made me think about it, so I went into Titanium Backup and froze it. Icon dissapeared immediately, I hope the process was frozen with it too, since it took like 3% battery in just 24 hrs. -.-
All in all I think this has been solved. Thanks!
