Hangouts notification does not go away after replying - Moto 360

I have a newly updated Moto 360 4.4W.1 and Stock Android on a Nexus 5.
Whenever I receive a notification on Hangouts using my Moto 360, I go ahead and reply back like normal but the notification does not go away even after I reply. I have to swipe to delete the notification on my watch. If I don't swipe to remove, I check my phone and the notification is still on my phone for Hangouts. I check my SMS thread and it does reply back to my message, any idea why it's happening? I have re-sync my phone with the watch, I even un-installed hangout updates and re-installed them with no luck.

not getting text or email notifications, not vibrating..

I am no longer receiving text message or email notifications on my watch. It doesn't buzz/vibrate. When I check the cards, the messages are there, the watch just isn't vibrating to let me know. I've restarted the watch, and resynced applications, and then restarted the watch after I re-synced apps, still nada. I've tested sitting still at my desk, so it isn't that I'm not feeling the buzz, it just isn't buzzing. It is vibrating for phone calls though. Suggestions?

Instead of restarting watch, I would unpair watch (bluetooth) & then factory reset the watch
Thanks, I tried doing a factory reset twice now. But I didn't unpair it first. I did uninstall all my android wear apps, or a I thought I did... but after the factory reset, some of apps came back, a timer and stopwatch. But they don't have companion apps on the phone, so I'm not sure how to uninstall them. But, the problem persists. I did discover that, at least at this point, it is only when the phone is in vibrate or silent mode. If the phone is on regular mode, then I do get the text notifications. Once I put it on vibrate, thaen I stop getting the notifications.

OK, I figured out how to uninstall the apps, which I did, unpaired it, did a factory reset, started all over from scratch, to no avail. Still not getting text message notifications... actually, the text messages come through, just no vibration to alert me. Same with emails, I get the emails, but no vibration. Oddly, I do get my Gmail emails with vibration alert. But no vibration alert for the non-gmail emails. This is not a good thing.. one th the things I liked most about the watch was to know when text emails came through and quickly check if it was something that needed prompt attention.

Well, not sure what changed, but texts and mail vibrations are working again.. thankfully... the only thing I can think of on the texts was that I switched over to hangouts on my phone. That didn't work too well, but the vibration notifications were working, then I switched back to the built in application. But, at least its working..

Not exactly a solution that gets at the root of the problem, but have you tried a third party notification app? Something like Feel the Wear? I believe that overrides the default vibration settings completely. I say that because the app needs its own "quiet time" setting and/or manual mute from your phone. Simply muting the watch via the pulldown menu won't stop the vibrations from the app.
So if you're still having issues using your preferred apps and getting alerts, perhaps give that a try?
THanks for the suggestion, will check it out...
I have the same issue. Tried everything it will not give me alerts to email or text messages. Wish I could figure this out...
A couple of things to try, change your messaging to hangouts (or other app), and see if you start getting notifications. When I switched to hangouts, I started getting the text message alerts. Then, when I switched back to the default app on my phone, the alerts (vibrations) continued. I had also gone into settings on the phone, I think it was under sound-notifications ... there was something in there that had email notifications turned off. I hadn't touched those settings, so I don't know how it got changed, but I recall there was something that seemed incorrect. I don't know if that was part of the problem or not...

I had a similar problem with my watch but only with vibrating. I figured out my problem was that if your phone doesn't vibrate, your watch won't vibrate. It actually mirrors the vibrate including custom vibration.
I have just hit the same problem, any solution guys? I get phone call notifications but nothing else no email or text message notifications...
Same problem... I get cards but no vibration. New watch. Motor vibrates when powering on.

Watch has stopped vibrating

My Zenwatch (v1) no longer vibrates when notifications pop up. I've tried restarting it but no luck. I'm running build LCA43.
The phone is an LG G4.
Any ideas??

Mine does this randomly and occasionally. There is no pattern, I can only assume that it is a hardware issue.
I've found a pattern - my gmail notifications don't vibrate, all others seem to. I had this problem before and switched to the stock email app which worked, then a gmail release fixed it. Looks like it's broken again.

I think I figured this out. My gmail notifications had quit vibrating, as well. The watch vibration for a notification is tied to the phone vibration setting for the same notification. If you go to the gmail app's settings, then tap on your gmail account name, you can set whether gmail notifications vibrate, and it affects both the phone and the watch.
Thanks, that seems to have worked.

Marshmallow update issues - notification and quick for wear!

Ok,
iv'e updated both Huawei Watch and Note5 to Marshmallow.
I'm having some issures -
First -
Line app is in the Block app notification on wear app and im still getting notification from it - no matter what i try it won't ignore it (and it does ignore other apps as band, sms and whatsapp)
Second -
I have 2 Sms app with keyboard - both orignial and paid for -
Android Wear SMS
Quick for Wear
Both worked perfectly.
After the update "Quick for Wear" don't show up on the app list when i slide left on my watch and it wont pop up any notification from any app.
tried everything including factory reset on both of my devices...

Go to your Android Wear app, then go to the Gear icon on the top right of the screen.
In the Device setting section click on the HUAWEI WATCH and in that menu click on the "Resync Apps" button and in a few minutes your Quick for wear should appear. If not wait about 15-30 mins and restart your watch.
If neither of these work try uninstalling and reinstalling the Quick for wear app on your phone and restart.

How to unblock a contract from messaging notification

I was clearing some of the notifications on my Galaxy Watch. One was a text message notification and instead of clearing it I accidentally tapped the little icon that blocks message notifications from that person instead. I can't find on any setting how to unblock it so my watch will get notifications when I get texts from this person.
I just played around with this. I blocked myself and the only way I found to Un-Block my number was to:
1) go into the Wear (Galaxy Wearable) app,
2) go into the Notifications section and **turn off** Messages Notifications.
3) Then I actually turned off Bluetooth to disconnect my Note 9 from my Galaxy Watch.
4) Went back into the Wear app & the Notifications section and RE-Enabled notifications for Messages
5) Turned Bluetooth back on and made sure that I was reconnected to my watch by looking in the Wear app
6) Sent myself a text--> Notification appeared on my phone and Once Again on my Galaxy Watch!
Very weird that there's not an easier way and if there is, I haven't found it. Also strange that this process clears the blocked number but I guess because I turned off Messages notifications made it kind of do a reset for this particular text app.

Issue with Text Notifications

Hi - since upgrading my AT&T S9 to Android 9 / One UI 1.0 I am having a small but annoying issue and I cant figure it out.
I use Textra as my SMS App.
When I receive a new text, I receive a notification icon at the top of my phone, and when I swipe down and touch it, it opens my text and clears the "new text" icon from the notification bar.
However since the upgrade, doing this does not clear the new text notification. It stays there - but then when I swipe down from the top there is no notification showing. And then when I am back at the homescreen it no longer shows the icon. So basically, each time I need to do an extra swipe down to clear the new text notification.
Its quite disruptive and I was hoping someone might be able to advise me on this?
Thank you.
Message the Textra dev
Thanks for the reply.
I've noticed it's not just a Textra issue as in having the same issue with WhatsApp notifications.
Anyone have ideas?
Did you factory reset after updating?
Always advised after a major OS upgrade
I didn't.
I should factory reset and reinstall everything from scratch?

You can try making a backup and restoring it, but that will possibly just bring the problem back
I would start from scratch
