I have a problem a month that can not get it solved. While doing s-off pops up at the end of such a thing :
Ok, I've fixed it even more, with the ARHD rom it said
"Remember the golden rule, never take OTA"
So will trying different roms do anything?
Please help I'm going crazy. I read everywhere and found nothing.

First of all questions belong in the Q&A section. Second if you want to s-off you need a STOCK rom and STOCK recovery. When you get the whelp message with firewater which is very clear on info when you read that error you need SUNSHINE !

I think you should read the xda rules again (or just now for the first time) it's an English based forum. So give also the translation in English.

Where can I find that thread?
Omg search for unrevoked. Now i even did it for you. Also http://unrevoked.com/ is very likely to help you.
And if you cannot find a guide from the search above i'll provide you with them here and here. Btw. those are the first 2 topics from the search.
edit: and to help you in the future this explains where the search function is located http://img833.imageshack.us/img833/5186/udklip.png

Ok, don't play smart.
Complete TUT says: IMPORTANT - this tutorial will not work if you have installed 2.2 OTA update from HTC!
Read this if you have official 2.2 Android
I've tried to search, but no help. And I got confused, when I heard that 2.2 OTA is not rootable yet.

Yes that is why i told you to search for unrevoked and not to look at that tut that comment is for the guide in the actual topic. Which is very old btw. right below the comment you mention they link to the very same topic with unrevoked as i did earlier for people with 2.2.
The very same topic(complete upgrading tut) also states "If you have any problems or question with rooting and flashing ROM's DO NOT open new thread, cause I will delete it, post everything here"
(Du skal ikke tage alt hvad jeg siger alt for seriøst men jeg ved hvad jeg snakker om og den ovenstående søgning var ret logisk)

I made a mistake, so not a big problem. I saw RED letters, and that confused me.
(Forstår hvad du siger, men har ledt i forummet om det.. og kan godt være at jeg overså det.. ellers vil jeg ikke skrive noget om det)

This is development section, not Q&A section. Go to the right section and you might get an answer.
Easy,i mean that the best way for you is to google dezire hd RUU,1.75 vodafone,it is easyto find,it is oficial from htc, download, conect phone into a bootloader mode and run ruu on your pc...... Than if you want to root phone again, read more posts about downgrading to 1.32.....

I read them all, in android development section there are guides to downgrade from 2.3x, not from 2.5x, and all they say to root the device with gingerbreak: this doesn't work for me (i left it trying for 4 hours with no luck).
This is why i asked the question: to downgrade i need to root it, and it doesn't seem possibile... Is it?
Hi, try to flash simply another original rom that you can root
it worked for me.
Sorry for my english...
I heard that gingerbreak wont work on 2.50.............

Just follow the guides and jump directly to flashing the downgraded ROM. You do not need to use gold card or root or anything.

I simply put the PD98IMG.zip in the SD and voilà, my phone is now 1.32.405.6, ready to get some custom rom
Thanks a lot to all people here!!

XDA is an english forum so try to keep it to English. It's okay even if it's not perfect English
If you updated to 2.50 and is S-ON, you won't be able to downgrade and will have to wait. If you are S-OFF, you can directly flash the 1.32 RUU.

I had the same problem updated to 2.50.405.2 and had no root and s-on i followed this guide to temp root (link at the bottom of post) but used ultimate multi tool to create the gold card and used the link in the app to create the goldcard.img.
I am now back to 1.32.405.6 ready to root, s-off and custom rom
good luck!!

note: ultimate multi tool does have a temp root option for gingerbread but does not work correctly.
Hey!
I would ask or there's a way to root the HTC One V?
I've unlocked the bootloader, and tried to root it but my htc wouldn't get root permissions. Superuser is installed. I rooted with those instructions: androidust. com / how-to-root-htc-one-v
That is the only way how to root HTC One V. Your phone should be rooted now. When you opened the superuser app after flashing boot.superboot.img did it ask for update of the su binary?

together with hlavicka82's hint that was, what I needed for root
Success!
But still I can't change the ROM - for some reason I get stuck in Fastboot, ROM Manager doesn't get through either.
Not even a backup of the current ROM is possible
Whether coming from ROM Manager or manually – in Fastboot I get the message:
E: Can't open /cache/recovery/command
-- Invalid operation. --
Success Rebooting by reason : o e m-00...
The One V could be the perfect phone for me, but if I don't get rid of this straight-jacket Sense-ROM I am going do dump HTC altogether. AAARRRGHHH!!!
so ... pleeze help!
