[Q] Issue Booting Into CWM [Tab 3 SM-T110] - Galaxy Tab 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I was following this thread here in order to flash my new tab 3 but for some reason I am having an issue at step 10. I can't seem to boot into CWM when I try and do it the way the thread says, I just end up getting a black screen(after the samsung logo)
Is there a specific way I can fix this, or is it user error?
If I go into recovery manually(after the device powers on) It goes to the stock recovery)
If it helps, this is the version of CWM that I'm trying to flash. I tried it with both versions of Odin 3.07/3.09

[Q] Note II stuck at Samsung Logo durring boot

I am trying to fix a Samsung Note 2 (Model No. SGH-i317) that refuses to boot.
When you push power, the white Samsung logo appears and just stays there until you pop the battery and remove USB power.
It will not go into the recovery menu after pushing Power+VolUp+Home.
It will however go into download mode after pushing Power+VolDn+Home. Once in download mode I tried to update the kernel to no avail. I also tried to install CWM thinking that maybe installing a new recovery over an old stock one that was corrupted somehow might help. Both approaches did nothing.
The device was originally running stock Samsung; I never attempted to load another ROM until this problem hit. So the phone was just as it was from the factory two years ago when this problem recently hit and I have been trying to fix it. After trying to flash the aforementioned things, the counter on the download screen (i.e. Odin), now shows the number of different times I have tried to update the recovery or the kernel, which is currently at four or five.
So, some aspects of the phone are working but clearly not enough for me to even get it to recovery, let alone boot. Any advice? Many thanks in advance.

I run Linux and don't really have access to a Windows box and have been using heimdall to flash things. When you said
"Try to odin the stock firmware"

is that the same as trying to loading a kernel image and then going to recovery before it fully boots? If so, I tried that with the following command using the image I downloaded from sammobile.com. This is the command that I ran:
Code:
heimdall flash --kernel KIES_HOME_I317UCAMA4_I317ATTAMA4_578342_REV04_user_low_ship.tar.md5 --verbose
That resulted in the same as when I tried to flash a new CWM recovery. It doesn't allow me to access the recovery, it just boots and shows the white Samsung logo and hangs there till you pop the battery & remove the USB cable.
If what you are suggesting is something different than the flash that I did with the image from sammobile.com, please let me know. This is my first attempt to fix something like this. Many many thanks.

OPPO Find 7 Recovery Installer
I am having difficulties in installing Gummy TWRP on my Find 7.

Oppo Find 7 Stuck at logo
I have not done anything to my phone at all. 2 days ago it started turning itself off and back on again, yesterday it did the same and now it is stuck on the Oppo Logo, it will not go any further. Tried turning it off and on again loads of times. Taken the battery out several times; Took the battery out and left it overnight; no success. Tried charging it to see if this would induce it to do something but not even the blue pulsing light is coming on. Apart from the Oppo logo it is dead......... Please, anyone any ideas, if you do then simple or step by step instructions..... Here is hoping, Thanks
PS....also tried taking simcard and memory card out and booting....same result also tried taking battery out and connecting it to the power supply, it goes into a recycle boot loop. I tried putting everything back in again and powering up but holding the power button down, again it goes into a recycle boot loop
PPS... Does not register on laptop when connected via usb
Somebody must know something.... Oppo again will not reply to emails.
I have scoured the forum and googled, as a result I tried the fastboot option using the recovery installer provided by xda. Recovery failed and when I tried to reinstall as a second option my laptop cannot connect to the phone, it just hangs on "connecting to your phone"
Find7a
Yes the Programm works fine on a find 7a.
Recovery Installer for Rooting Find 7a
Is the Recovery Installer file working for anyone? I'm unable to download it. I'm trying to follow the Root steps here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/find-7/development/root-easy-method-to-root-oppo-7-t2819797
Probably not the thread to ask, but it is Recovery related:
I'm testing PA 4.6b6, but I would like to go back to ColorOS.
Will loading ColorOS rewrite my TWRP recovery and bring back stock Recovery?

Flash one of the ColorOS custom ROMs that the devs have created. There should also be a flashable stock version that removes the overwrite of Recovery. Just search around.

HI
Can you update the installer for the stock because your link is dead. i need to recover my stock os.thanks
Your link does not work any more

Will installing this recovery include the Google apps and the english version??? My oppo has the chinese OS and no Google play store that's why I'm asking
Unable to download recovery
Hi,
Do you mind to update the recovery installer? i not able to download the recovery here. Thanks.
I have strange difficulties installing the custom recovery to Oppo.
I have rooted about a dozen of different Android phones previously, so I thought that this one was a piece of cake as well.
I have tried to use this tool as well the "manual" method.
-I have installed the drivers correctly. Both ADB and fastboot do recognize the device.
-I have unlocked the device (fastboot oem unlock)
-I can reboot the phone to the fastboot mode and I have succesfully uploaded the recovery-image to the phone. I have tried both CWM and TWRP -recoveries and both of them will install nicely (fastboot flash recovery xxxxx.img)
So I was thinking that does the phone somehow overwrite the recovery that I have just installed? What is correct way to proceed after the recovery has been installed? Swith off the phone and restart the phone into recovery straight away? (Power & Volume down)?
Didn`t work for me because phone just ends up to the boot loop. If I will boot the phone normally, it will start all the way to the OS.
Device is
OPPO Find 7a
X9006
Android 4.3
ColorOS V1.2.4i
Build number: X9006_12_140712
Any ideas..?

Boot Loop issue maybe soft brick

I have a strange boot loop issue (GT-P5210) Tab 3 10.1
I tried Philz CWM and TWRP and some flashes via Odin
I tried to install stock ROM's and pre-rooted Stock ROM's of different versions from sammobile and here on the xda forums and samsung-updates dot com
I tried a few recovery version's as well
And finally, thinking my partition table got screwed up I even looked for hours and found the pit file and tried that along with a recovery
The recoveries I tried are both through Odin and through TWRP and CWM, and my results vary slightly but never result in a good full boot.
Sometimes the tablet reboots upon the Samsung logo
Sometimes the Tablet tries to boot and even gets the Blue splash but just sits there endlessly without rebooting but at the same screen
I am at a loss as far as what to try next, what version, and in what order.
Anyone else experience this or have any direction they can please put me in?
[update]
I found that with latest TWRP 2.8.6.0 and no other recovery can I successfully flash CM12 and have it boot correctly, so how the heck do I get stock back on here? I am completely confused now.
I fixed it, took a bunch of trial and error and trying different ROM's from sammobile but also needed stock bootloader to fix the denied access to \data by properly wiping it, doing so from TWRP and CWM failed to fix it, only fixed from stock.

Unable to boot phone once TWRP installed?

Hey guys,
So I've been trying for days to get a custom Ron installed on N975F.
Right now I'm on completely reflashed stock Rom. With stock recovery et al. No root.
I am able to flash Magisk with Odin. No trouble. And my phone continues as usual without issue.
However, once I install TWRP, no matter where or how I install it, once I restart my phone it will boot past the warnings without issue, then go to the screen that just says "SAMSUNG" and the phone will never actually boot up.
I can still boot into TWRP recovery without issue, but system itself will never boot, it will just sit on the "SAMSUNG" screen forever.
In fact, it seems like as long as TWRP is installed to recovery, my system will never boot with any Rom. It can be fixed by reinstalling stock recovery, or by reflashing stock in it's entirety (which I have now done before I try again).
Has anyone got any ideas why this might be occurring or how I can address it? I saw some threads about 'rollback protection' but it seems like that is for people who are not even able to boot into TWRP, or get stuck on the first "Samsung Note 10+", screen rather than the system booting "SAMSUNG" screen.

i am guessing try ADB commands see this link! https://www.koskila.net/how-to-use-twrp-to-flash-an-android-device-that-refuses-to-boot-to-twrp/
Many N975 users have reported this issue and I have forwarded concerned to ian as well. What I believe is formatting on latest (last few) twrp causing issue.
If you have N975/N976 then, visit xda My rom thread - Download area - you will find a folder "for stock rom & bootlooped device" download instructions and follow it, I have wrote guide with or without flashing my rom
Edit :
here is direct link, you will find all required file

This guide is stop solution to root/root with twrp/fix Samsung roll back bootloop everything. And yes you don't needs to patch anything yourself, all files available are ready to use
Hi Dr Ketan,
Thanks for the response.
I actually solved the issue simply by using the version of TWRP and following the install instructions on your basic "How to Root and Install TWRP" for Note 10+ guide.
So I think this is a problem relating to Ian's latest TWRP. TWRP linked from your thread
is working fine (but leads to issue with Camera in GSI/Lineage OS ROMs).
I will have a look at your special guide relating to Samsung logo/rollback stuff and see if it will allow me to install latest TWRP from Ian and bypass these issues! Thank you.

Yes, As I said issue is related to newer TWRP only. If you use old TWRP, camera will not work. My above link guide is for latest base and you can get latest TWRP only (Included package are having latest available TWRP & Kernel)
