Hey all,
ive been researching for a few days now and theres so many choices on external battery packs, i have an S5 and i bought the PNY 5200 http://www.pny.com/powerpack_5200_dual-port_1_amp__2_4_amp but it only gives me about 1 charge and a half im wondering what is the best external battery packs out there im looking for a really small one and one bigger one, ive read that NewTrent and Anker are extremely good what are your opinions and what do you guys think is best? and what models? because ive seen tons of them on the net.
Thanks
You go on amazon and type battery charger, top 10 choices are from Anker Look into my signature review link, I reviewed a ton of ext batteries, including most from Anker. They are indeed top notch. Or look at their product page: http://www.ianker.com/External-Batteries/category-c1-s1 - choose the capacity/footprint, whatever suites you. All come with 18 months warranty and their support is top notch. If you need something very small, 2nd gen Astro 6400mah is a great choice, but personally I wouldn't get anything less than 10000 mah. Also, prices are pretty cheap.

any opinions on which brand would be best to go with?
Don't be so cheap, buy a genuine one it'll be much better than the cheap crap you're looking at.......
Paul o brien at modaco is raving about the anker. Apparently really good.

Here's a review of some aftermarket batteries, as you can see every single one without fail was no where near the claimed capacity...

i have used anker ones for my previous phone htc sensation and they were much better than stock.
I've been using Anker for a week now and it's very good. Mid - High usage with switching the phone on at 6am and getting home at 8pm I would have 20-30% battery left.
However with the Anker battery with the same usage above I'm getting 53-57% battery, which for me is quite remarkable.
It's not poorly built and actually does look quite good unlike its cheap counterparts.
I would recommend Anker as it fits in my SGP Case unlike the official Samsung battery which I also have.
Has anyone purchased any of those external battery cases yet? I really want to buy one but im scared to commit to a purchase just yet seeing how a lot of batteries out there for this phone seem to be sketchy. So has anyone purchased one that they can recommend ?

Not an answer to your question, but I had been looking around a lot too. There was a 5000+ mAh external battery that listed on Amazon with good reviews... Although it wasn't a case. I ended up purchasing a Goal Zero Nomad 7 and the Guide 10 (combo deal) for my purposes.
Basically, I figured why spend so much on a so so case with so so battery when I could get an inexpensive external charger that worked better for 1/3 the price. Of course, I ended up going with a true solar panel kit since I would be away from an outlet now and then (hiking with GPS). I tested the Nomad 7 in bright, direct sunlight and it charges both my s3 and NT directly, although the directions suggest using the guide 10 as a bridge. I have not tested the guide 10's recharging ability with the S3, other than a quick 2 minute charge check showing that it would actually charge.
Hope someone chimes in with a suggestion more specific to your question. Additionally, I've seem some websites advertise a 4000+ mAh Mugen battery with extended case for the S3, but Mugen does not mention it on a their website... So be weary of false ads.
Hey guys noob here
So I was looking at some slim extended batteries online and I came across this one on ebay:
Brand : AceSoft
Voltage: 3.8V.
Battery Capacity: 2680 mAh
I would post a link but I can’t because I am a new user
Did anyone ever heard about this brand? If not could you guys recommend me one?
Thanks
The biggest factor when looking at stock size extended battery is cost, atleast for me. The stock battery that came with my i747 is 2100mah, i would assume they all are but i try not to assume when i don't have to. You didn't mention how much the battery in question was going to run you, but for a measly 580mah gain i wouldn't pay more than 10 bucks for it. I got my anker 4400mah for 14.99 shipped, although it is twice the thickness of the stock battery, i quickly got used to the added size in favor of days worth of charge. On top of that Anker is a well know, reputable battery manufacturer and after a quick google search i couldn't find much more than item listings for AceSoft. If you were going to pay for a minimal, stock sized upgrade Samsung is apparently releasing one soon as per a twitter post shown here.

I assume my otterbox won't fit on it after I put on an anker battery? what cases do they have made for larger phones liek this?
I wouldn't know, i dont use cases on my phones.
The thing about discounted extended batteries is they are old/new batteries. As they have a shelf live, as soon as the newer one ion what ever they're called come off the press they start to depreciate the longer they sit on a peg in the store or in the stock room the lesser they will last in your phone. Use them or lose them is the way they are. This is why they give you a discount as to not rip you off too much and for them to still try and make some money back on there investment of making or selling them.
A not so good rule of thumb would be the more you pay the younger the battery should be.
I am sure no one selling you the battery will tell you this it is bad for there businesses.
I got the shelf life info on Google.

Ran a quick search and didn't turn up much. Does anyone have advice or know where to get a solid deal on a portable charger? I've got to spend a lot of time in the airport/on planes in the next few months so something like this would be ideal. I found this:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BJCHH36/ref=wms_ohs_product?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Looks pretty solid for a decent price. Anything better out there?

I'd just be nervous about the brand. Never heard of it, and it does matter as far as how long the battery is going to last, both in terms of time before the thing doesn't take a charge/only holds a small fraction of what it used to, as well as how much of the rated capacity you are really getting. This one is name brand, and would be worth the extra 20 bucks, and has some extra capacity as well. It also charges off of micro USB, though they one you linked may as well, I just didn't see it on the main page.

I've had their batteries before, and they tend to be pretty good. Much better than some of the no name stuff you can get. Plus, you can charge a third device.

I'm going with this one. They also have a 7000mah model.
I went with this one simply because I liked the style and it was small.
There is a bigger one too. Not the cheapest but has held up well for
over a year now. All of these are essentially a big battery so you
probably can't go wrong with any one that has good reviews.

Amazon has the best deals
I would stick with Jackery
I like Jackery batteries. They work just as well as any other portable battery out there, but they have the added bonus of just looking nice (all models come in orange, some also come in silver and black). Some of the larger capacity models also had an onboard LED flashlight function. The flashlight function isn't great (it's about as bright as a keychain flashlight), but it makes sense to add a flashlight function to something that is already a battery.
I have this one: http://amzn.com/B00AANMVNQ
It has a 5600mAh capacity (the One's battery is 2300mAh). It only has a single port, but the port can put out 2A if you need to charge larger devices.
check out Anker for portable batteries. I have the 10000 mah model and it is great. has two ports for android or iphone. can charge both at same time. it was only 39.99 http://www.amazon.com/10000mAh-Smar...ers-Lightning/dp/B009USAJCC/ref=pd_sim_cps_49
I am currently using this one
http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Unive...id=1385714580&sr=1-1&keywords=samsung+9000mah
(Samsung 9000mah portable battery pack)
it charges my HTC One thrice and i am quite satisfied with the product!
Tenergy 2600 was on sale at frys for $10 on black Friday. Picked up one blue and one black. Blue looks cool in that it's similar in color to my one

Some days ago, my iphone 6 can not support whole day use as the playing game .
So I searched iphone 6 external battery in amazon and find Plush cartoon toys power banks AD below. I am not sure it is really cool as the description .
Also I found a external power bank here :
The battery capacity is only 2000mAh but it is beautiful.
Which one I should bought or do anyone find the similar high capacity like 6600mAh but cheaper one in other place?
You can find MANY power banks on eBay. Of various sizes, colors, forms, you name it. Problem is finding one that is at the right price! I'm searching for one too, maybe around 6-10 Ah. But... it's hard to choose!

You can buy any of the Xiaomi Powerbanks, they are quality products and you will be satisfied with your bought
I prefered the 10.400 mAh powerbank, but there are two others in 5000 mAh y 16.000 mAh, too with different sizes, but very well finish alloy aluminium.
I would just go for the cheapest with highest capacity thats not a shoddy brand.
i recommend you to go for Xiaomi power banks.
there is 10400mAh and 5000mah available..
I has stores enough juice to power ur iphone for 2 to 2.5 full charges.
the authenticity of the power bank can be found out by the barcode available on the box.. if its fake u will know it immediately by checking it on their website.
be care full there are lot of fakes. Xioami doesn't have power banks in gold color and in 16000mah.
its just 10400 or 5000 mah
