Hi guys
You are probably sick of hearing this problem but I have had it and I have tried to scour the internet and I cannot find a solution to my problem.
Basically I have not used my Samsung Galaxy note 2 GT-N7100 for 6 months or so and I decided to use it and to use a new rom. Now after I installed it I could not call anyone or text anyone nor could anyone else call me or text me. However, the internet was working which was strange but again I got the same error message "not registered on network. I tried to install another rom in the hope that the problem would be sorted out but this time I cannot get the mobile data or the wifi to work either. The main problem is the "not registered to network.
The first rom I installed was the latest Hawkish extreme rom and the second one was Android Revolution HD by Mike1986 if it makes it easier to help me. I will still be searching on the internet but if someone can help me that would be grateful and much appreciated.

Try the following: use Root Explorer enter to EFS folder, delete NV_DATA.BIN and NV_DATA.BIN.MD5. Reboot your device and check imei.

Right before bothering to read the reply I decided to download omega jellybean 4.3 and guess what, no imei number but I flashedkit kat back in and it was buisness as usual. emergency calls only. Right when I get back home I shall try what you told me, but one question as a n00n and I do apolagise, where is this efs folder?

I have a similar problem. The 7100 was purchased with Wanam lite 4.1 installed and working well with TMO SIM card. I upgraded to stock 4.3 JB and will not connect to network. Build is XXUEMK9. After factory reset,it starts up in Greek. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

I am happy user of D855 but recently I run into strange problem. Once I loose gsm network signal - phone is not able to register to network automatically (I cross the border on daily basis so I am using roaming everyday). There is no error actually, it just looks like it found the network but it's not able to register (that loading cricle keeps rotating). But when I go to settings and manually select some provider - it connects without problem. Any ideas what could be the problem?
Problem started on stock rom (rooted). Currently I am running cloudy rom and there's still a problem.
EMEI number is correct, EMEI SV is 00 but Phone number in settings is unknown

Was the stock rom KitKat ? I think you need to flash a suitable modem(radio)

When I bought this phone in was already 5.0. I could try to flash that modem but I am not sure were I could find it.

but... it didn't change anything. Could that unknown phone number have something to do with it? Or is there some way to force it to be there?

If you are rooted unroot in Super Su ,install LG G3 Pc Suite, connect the phone to pc and in Pc Suite choose upgrade,new stock firmware will be downloaded and installed,DO NOT DISCONNECT USB CABLE WHILE UPGRADING !!!!

following problem to my LG P930:
I got it as a present because my old phone was crashed. First I wanted to do with the P930 is to get root access and flash CM to it. This was difficult enough, but now I have a problem where I coundn´t find any information.
With original firmware (I think it was 2.2.6 or 2.3.6) LTE was working. Now, with the last CM 11 and with CM 10.2 LTE dowesn´t work. I can ping any homepage with the terminal, but the speed for downloading is just at 40k/s, really really slowly.
I found, that maybe LTE must be unlocked by an unlock-code. Therefore I have to open a menu under the number 2945#*930#, but when I call this, just the msg appears, "Connection problem or invalid MMI code". Most of all #* calls do not work at all!
I tried to fix it, but all methods I found are for MTK devices, but the P930 has a snapdragon cip.
The *#06# call works, my IMEI is valid, I can make calls and send sms, the Internet works, but much too slow for daily use. My Sim Card gets access to o2 network in Germany.
I tried 3 CM ROMS and different settings in APN and mobile networks, but nothing works.
I tried to get network access with a Telekom SIM, but there I couldn´t get any access, so I wasn´t able to make calls, neither sms nor Internet.
does anyone have an idea how to solve this issue? Is that correct, thinking that mobile data doesn´t work because the phone is unlocked?
PS: only thing I found is in this thread, is to rename modemfs folder.
But I don´t understand what eduds mean in post 8, and his problem is not exactly the mine, because his mobile data doesn´t work at nothing.

When ever I am trying to upgrade my phone using system update option it gives me an error message which says network connection failed please try again later. So is there any problem with my phone or what ? Can anyone help me with this problem ?

Lenovo OTA servers are down . Everyone is getting the same error message.

You can do it manually if you want.
Facing same problem after replaced screen from service centre.can't do anything but engineer in service centre said that some updates will come on 18 AUGUST which will solve some bugs in Nought update.
Now God knows whether update will come or not
And if comes it solves the problem or increase it?

Hey thanks I at last followed the steps and I was able to able to upgrade my android in Lenovo P2 and my phone works fine accept from the contact list, like what is happening now is if I add one number in my contact list it creates a duplicate copy of it on my phone contacts list automatically. Can some one help me resolve this issue please.

I just received my lg g7 g710ulm. And when i turned on the phone i understood that im not lucky.. I need your helps! Please! Because i cant do it myself.
1. No signal. Don't search networks. Immediately getting error when trying to do it myself. "Preferred network mode" can't change due error and it showed "null". After reflashing it's now showing "22".
2. Don't see any wifi networks. But access point is working and other devices can see me.
2.1 I found that wifi going to work then i tried to use gps. After few seconds phone starting see wifi networks and connecting. If turn off wifi and turn on again phone don't see networks and you need to repeat procedure.
3. Looks like gps not working too.. But tried only in indoor.
I can't understand is it software or hardware issue. Maybe seller changed imei number and model by firmware and did it wrong? Antutu showing strange imei.
Can i to know somehow real model of phone? I can try to make logs and attached it here. Or maybe somebode can check imei, bands with octopus box? I dont know what to do
P.S. Bluetooth is working. Tried to send file and it was fine.
I can't return phone to shop because im living in different country But phone is amazing! And I loved lg. I had lg optimus one (was lost and back by good people), then lg optimus black(was burned in bonfire), lg g2(left in taxi), lg g6 (was lost) and finally lg g7. Yeah, looks like something wrong with me or these lg.. But i love it
Did you put in your SIM card first before you started...
I read you need to insert sim first but could be wrong.

Sure, i did it. Anyway don't search networks. But what carrier of sim card and numbers into sim card, phone can recognise.
Maybe i wrote not understandable? My english not first language. So asking. I will try to explain.

My G710ULM's GPS stopped working 2 days ago, still trying to find out what's the cause of it. Tried apps like GPS Status, GPS Locker, no avail that it isn't picking any satellites at all. Just searching for GPS location. Restarting the device haven't helped either. In settings I even excluded all apps in Power Saving Exclusions. In GPS Status app, resetted and downloaded the A-GPS, this should surely make the GPS work. No success.

Hello expert. I have an LG G7 ThinQ ULM phone. The problem of this phone is no phone waves signal, 3G, 4G. (a week ago that is good). I think that because the SIM and insert this SIM into other phones, this SIM still works very well. So can you show me how to fix it? Thank you very much!
Note: I was try as below but not success
Go to the Home screen;
Tap on the Phone app;
Switch to the Dial pad;
Type in (*#*#4636#*#*) and just wait – the phone should automatically redirect you to the Service mode;
Once you’ve entered this new mode, tap on Phone Information or Device Information;
Tap on Run Ping test;
Look for the button labeled as Turn Radio Off and select it;
Wait for the phone to restart;
Tap on reboot.

I've got the same problem after flashing the android 10 update. Tried android pie and oreo but nothing helped. I will really appreciate any help as this is my daily driver.

finally got my network working all you need is an original qcn backup or flash original modem_a,b partition with QFIL if imei shows null use this tutorial to change ur origin imei/MEID, im not gonna give full tutor or the file since no one answered me, good luck.

Hi guys, I bring a solution to this problem, I found this topic: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/no-signal-after-crossflashing.4089281/, you understood better by reading yourselves, but basically I flashed the rom with lg up chip erase mode and my wifi/data started working again, I know this is not recommended under any circumstances but it worked for me.
However, be aware that ChipErase mode not only erases IMEI numbers, but also erases MAC addresses, EFS partition and others. In many countries if your device does not have an IMEI number or other identifiers, SIM networks cannot allow (my case in Brazil it worked) for you to register with them, i.e. in most cases your sim will not work on the phone and you will not have cell service. You may still have issues with WiFi networks as without MAC addresses your WiFi will be grayed out or the network may not allow you to connect. Also, be aware that in many countries around the world knowingly tampering with or changing your phone's IMEI numbers is against the law. IMEI number is how networks and ultimately law enforcement identify the device and its owner

hi can i use this method to fix my wifi problem? my wifi cant be turn on at all after so many change of roms, it does work on every firmware i used. i need a help
