Does anyone know if there is an way to unlock the sim if you buy it outright from a verizon store.
All verizon phones come unlocked so I bet the tabs do too.

Yes I was able to configure the APN to finally get it working.

i'm really tempted to buy one now. Earlier I was pondering if it was possible to buy it and just put it on the 200mb data t-mobile plan. Seems like JMM2009 confirmed it can work on t-mobile too
I'm sure You could, but you would probably have to set up the line on your account first, then add the apn in the settings.

It's unlocked. I can confirm that.

What are the APN settings for T-Mobile? I'm interested in trying this as I'm leaving Verizon in a couple weeks.

They are different types of carriers AT&T is a GSM carrier where as Verizon is a CDMA carrier so you can only use the verizon tablet with anothe CDMA based carrier ie: T mobie
I seem to get service with these tmobile settings....

What plan did you go with? Are you prepaid?

I have no plan. I got the sim free from a tmobile promo online. I cut it, tested it and it goes to the activate plans page. Was hoping I could get the free data but need a contract.

I just got back from t-mobile store. I can confirm that the g pad is unlocked and I was able to get 4G/LTE data on my tablet shortly after activation.
I did get the 1gb free plan as it's a promotion until the end of this year but I will keep my free 200mb afterwards

VK810 doesn't have GSM or CDMA radios, just LTE on Bands 4 and 13. Setting it to GSM-only with a GSM SIM card gets you No Service.
Just a question, will a VK810 work in Vodafone Europe (Portugal)?
From my understanding, no, but I will like to be sure.
I'd figure since verizon gave a crap load of these away there would be some rom development on it. Is there any reason why there hasnt been hardly and notice of this tablet?
I could create one if I had access to the 4.4.2 update but some say there isn't one while some say there is. I don't know who's right.

Please search the forum next time. Add of right now there is no T-Mobile root. Some devs are working on a universal for for all of the G3's and there is no ETA for it yet. There is a time l rumor about possibly getting root if and when TWRP comes out but nothing's confirmed yet.

Hey everyone it has been years since I have rooted, but I want some help and info. I Just switched back to att and I have a Verizon LG g3 in the drawer. I want to know if I should just use as is or try to, if even possible, flash ATT firmware on it or international firmware on it? If att firmware can be put on it, will it get att software updates?
Simple answer to all questions is no. If we could , it would be all over XDA g3 forum

You dont want expensive brick, right?
But check this topic.
Srs root claims to root the verizon sm t807v, does anybody have any experience with this program?
I do not but I'm looking forward to getting it rooted, didn't hear about this program... I'll check it out
It has been reported by "cpete47" that it doesn't work, the program says it's successful but no root on tab, if you get a different outcome please let us know. Thanks

I tried it on the sm-t707a AT&T variant and it doesn't work. It looks like it's doing something but it doesn't work.
Has anyone found a reliable root for SM-T807V?
No we have not as of yet, hopefully they will attain root for the Verizon note 4, this would be the only way, IMO.
