I've got a car with Microsoft Sync and I run into this problem every time the Evo pairs with the car. It thinks it is paired with a wireless music device because Sync can also stream music via Bluetooth. So, the EVO starts up the music application and actually keeps my screen turned on the whole time the phone is paired. You can imagine what this does to my battery life.
Obviously now that I know it is leaving the screen on, I can turn it off manually, so not a huge deal there. However, I imagine the music application is doing it's fair share of damage to my battery too. It's always on pause, never actually playing.
Is there any way to turn off these features? I've looked in the settings, but can't really see anything.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Have u tried turning off the music widget? My wife car has sync but I haven't tried it yet.

I don't use that widget so that's not it. Good thought though.
I've had the Moto 360 for 5 days now and love it. There is one bug I have noticed and wanted to see if others are having the same issue. When I am listening to music through bluetooth in my car and have the watch connected it occasionally turns the phone volume down to a very low volume. I notice this happen almost everytime I start navigation. Anyone else experiencing the same issue?
I'm using the Moto 360 with the HTC One M8.
I just get choppy volume in that situation. There is a Bluetooth bug somewhere with the moto 360.

Ahhhh. I thought I was going mad. I just got a new Sony z3. Been blaming my phone all along.
That makes sense now. So it's the watch that's causing the volume to randomly decrease the volume to its lowest. I wasn't running any watch apps at all.
Any solution anyone.?

Is it possible that "OK Google" is inadvertently being triggered by background noise?
When I reply to texts via voice it mutes the streaming music volume on the phone (and also in my car), which I like as it increases the accuracy of my voice reply.

I don't think this is the issue. I mostly get this the first time navigation voice directions are given. It turns the volume down on the phone and I can't hear music. I then have to turn the volume back up and don't have issues after that.
I have no issues. Nexus 5 connected to my Moto360 and factory head unit (2011 Camaro). I stream Pandora, Google Play, and have spoken notifications.
no issues here either.

Ah, I see. This is testable and will do so today.
I use my X with Moto S11 Flex HD bt head set when cutting the grass.
Before the 360, music would get lower on an incoming notification, and I'd hear the notification sound via the headset.
With the 360 On/Connected, I see the music controls on the screen. Now I notice that when the 360's screen lights up(from twisting my wrist), or I get a notification, the music volume drops slightly for a few seconds, then returns to normal. BUT I do not hear the notification sounds via the Headset when this happens.

I used navigation while streaming GPMAA and the volume would return to normal on it's own after giving me an audible instructions the entire way home today. Sorry man, I"ll try again tomorrow, but I couldn't recreate it - it might be phone specific.

I have had this issue for years (nothing to do with Android Wear in my case). It has to do with how an app obeys the audio focus rules. Some apps are more problematic than others. Rdio is extremely problematic while navigating. Google apps seem to be the best. But whenever the audio focus goes all wacky, it will generally go back to normal once the next navigation prompt plays. With Pandora, this often happens when a navigation prompt plays between tracks...the next track will be much lower in volume. At least, until the next audio prompt. Then volume returns to normal. Skipping to the next track also fixes it.
I have an Asus Zen watch and love it, but I have noticed that while I am listening to my music using my Google Play app over my wireless headphones, my incoming text messages do not go to my watch. They are announced over my wireless headphones, but my watch does not vibrate, and the text messages do not come through on the watch. I thought this might be a setting, but I do not have any notifications disabled on my watch. This is not a big deal, just curious as to why this might be happening and why it only seems to happen when using the Google Play music app?
Thanks!!
Does anyone use WeChat? Every since they turned on the speaker for my Huawei watch the app is working weirdly. Occasionally when I get a voice message in the app it plays on my watch. Sometimes it plays in the app (on my phone) and sometimes it plays through my watch. I cannot figure out what it causing it to switch between the two. Same thing for the mic. Sometimes it uses the mic through my watch and sometimes it uses the mic through my phone. I have emailed the developer, but have not heard back.
Did you ever get this problem sorted or fixed?
I was having issues with my Bluetooth headset not automatically activating with my watch when turned on, so unpaired an repaired it. Now, whenever I hang up on a call on my phone (not even using the watch) my watch starts playing music from the spotify app. This only happens if the spotify is set to "stream over wifi". Another fix is to quit the spotify app and turn on then off power saving mode. However if the spotify app is used again the issue comes back. It was fine until I did the Bluetooth repairing. I have uninstalled/reinstalled/ unpaired/repaired etc and this issue won't go away.
I use the running app on the phone. Shortly after I start running a graphic shows on the screen telling me to wear the watch on the outside of my wrist for the HR monitor. I am already doing this and always having to quit the notification which is annoying. It didn't do this when I first got the watch so I am wondering if an update has introduced it.
When playing music while I run (I now use music stored on the watch due to the spotify issue), sometimes it won't continue on with my playlist. It tends to stop after one song so I have to press play. I doesn't always do this. Even worse sometimes it will only play one song which I then have to keep hitting play to repeat. As I'm recording my run I can't exit the app to restart the music from the music app.
I use the voice memo app on the watch which syncs memos with the phone. For some reason when it syncs a memo it plays the notification sound on the phone about 20-30 times, so quickly some of them play over each other. It's like you've just received 20 odd messages all at once and is ridiculous.
While I like the watch overall I wish these issues could be fixed. Does anyone have any suggestions for any fixes?
