[Q] LS980ZVC System Update Download notification? - Sprint LG G2

Hey guys!
I just bought a used unlocked LG Sprint G2 with LS980ZVC software version.
I am getting this annoying update of "System Update Downloaded" , I am not aware what will happen if I install it. So I am scared to install it
Will it unroot or block my device again? Anybody who have faced this before?
Please help.

Do not flash if your device is rooted! Your device will be bricked if you have a custom recovery installed, and you will have to go through a lot to get it to boot again. I just installed a Slimkat roms and got rid of the notification. you can also turn off the notification in the settings by disabling it.
Just repeating, you cannot flash an OTA update on the G2 if your device is running a custom recovery and is rooted.

I checked and there was no recovery installed. Updated and working fine.
Thanks for the info. So I can flash the OTA updates by downloading them manually if I have a recovery installed?

Calls getting blocked on recieving?

Are you facing a problem in which calls are getting blocked if anyone call you? Are you on ZVD right now?

[Q] Update error 407

I'm rooted stock 4.3, I hear the S3 has the 4.4.2 update? Is that true? What is the error in the attached screenshot mean as well? I'm connected to wifi and I get the error no matter what.
I also have another issue I'm curious about and rather than making a second post I'll ask that too.
I have the supersu app. My rooted apps completely detect root and work. I want to change from the supersu app to the Superuser app for personal preference. I get stuck at 'Making sure new su works'. Why? I also get this no matter what.
Screenshots of both issues attached.
The latest is 4.3. If you are rooted then you most likely have a custom recovery and that is why whatever OTA update you are trying to get is failing.

Does anyone know what file/apk to change to stop OTA

Want to block OTA updates on my 8.4 Wifi. Anyone know what apk/file(s) to rename/freeze to keep it from trying to update? I'm rooted, but still on the stock ROM.
I believe it will not update ota now that its rooted, simple test is to check for update, go through that, it should end up telling you something like, file have been change or modified or something and it wont let you update

It's trying to update & I just keep selecting the 3 hour postponement. I'm rooted and it's still trying. On my phone (GS4) I renamed the update apk, but I don't know the filename of the one on the tab.

On mine I went into 'settings/general/about device/software update' and unticked automatically check for updates. Then booted into recovery (stock recovery still on mine) and cleared the cache (which I believe deletes the OTA update file) then rebooted.
Since doing that I have not had any software update notifications and the OTA file hasn't reappeared.
My tab is on the original stock ROM and rooted with Towelroot.

HELP WITH ROOTING N7105 - white shield with "unauthorized access..." notification
Hello, would appreciate help.
My n7105 is currently running android 4.3 (apparently that is the latest update as when i clicked on update it told me i am already running on the latest), the baseband version N7105TDVUEMK3, I have installed twrp 2.8, make a nandroid back up to get it ready for rooting. when i try to reboot i was ask to install SuperSu which i did. after booting the device I installed the new version of SuperSU and it asked me to remove Knox which I did. HOWEVER, I then tried to run reset Spen app I am told app fail to run the task and get the white shield with "unauthorized access..." notification telling me to "click here" I do and nothing happens.
Any suggestions on how to disable it completely? Am I missing something? I want full control.
Also, when i check to see if there is any update via OTA, it said this device is modified so can update? can you can i make the system status official so you can receive OTA updates
Thanks!

Update Error

Hi guys, I really hope you can give me a hand here. I was rooted using method 3. Yesterday I unrooted the device. Today there were some OTA updates, so I downloaded them and wanted to install them. It was 58 if I'm not mistaken. The phone rebooted and started installing the updates and after few seconds a symbol of android popped up with an error message. After that the phone started and said that update wasn't installed and the origanal settings were returned. After that it said that there wen't new updates available. Factory reset didn't help either. Later a new update was available 59 I think, but the same thing happened... I really don't know what to do now.
I have ZF2 64Gb, WW version installed on it.
right now running 2.19.40.22
I'm really hoping for your help
Update: I've don't system wipe and cache wipe from the recovery menu
Update N2: I've managed to install V2.19.40.22 image from official website. But my phone doesn't show me an option to do an OTA update, it says that there aren't any update available. Is there a way to make him check again properly?

Nope I only used root for titanium backup. It's been deleted... I can't even try to install new updates anymore...

flash the pre-rooted image of the firmware you all already have. then retry the OTA.

Do you mean as in making the file MOFD_SDUPDATE.zit puting it on the SD card and through recovery? The update starts, then says gives an error
In recovery it says:
Veryfying current system...
"/system/build.prop" has unexpected contents
E: Error in /sdcard/MOFD_SDUPDATE.zip
(status 7)
I might have edited my build.prop file back then when I was playing with DPI. Now I can't find the line I edited... please help

That's why you have to flash the pre root firmware first. It restores all the system files so they can pass the check while the OTA runs.

Marshmallow monthly update failed

My tablet is currently on stock MRA58K. I've rooted it, installed TWRP, and have Xposed installed (if that matters). I've been holding off installing the OTA system update(s) because I didn't want to mess with re-rooting (I see that's not a concern). Anyways, after searching for a fix to my Netflix playback problem, I see that it was fixed with one of the monthly updates (MRA58U). With this information I went through the steps of installing the OTA update (Settings->About Tablet->System updates). The updated downloaded and asked me if I wanted to install it and restart the tablet. Everything looked normal. When the tablet rebooted it booted straight into recover (TWRP). Confused by this, I just rebooted into system from TWRP. As far as I can tell the update didn't install. The build is still MRA58K and I still have the Netflix playback issue.
Is there a way to manually download and install the incremental monthly updates? I don't want to install the full blown factory image and have to re-setup the tablet.
Thanks
Maybe just get some MRA58V ROM since you have TWRP? And yeah, you wont be able to install official OTA with TWRP, you need to be stock for that.
