I stream RDIO and use Viper4Android. Had no problem with Galaxy S4 (kitkat).
Now with my new G3 855 (32GB), Viper4Android shows (driver status) compatibility with the audio format, but processing is indicates "NO".
I still can paly Pandora and Jungo straming with V4A as well as the native player, with no problem, so this probabely not a V4A issue.
Please advice
Thanks

Hi
Running CM9 i have a question about the DSP Manager.
I'm using Spotify and Wimp alot to stream/playback music on my phone. The problem is the DSP Manager which only seem to work with the stock music player (Apollo).
Anyone know of a workaround to get it functioning with other players?
I have also installed Equalizer from the market, which works but the sound quality isnt that good.

strange, as DSP work also in Play Music for me, or any other music app that use the android EQ.
poweramp for example have is own EQ
Yeah, I think maybe Spotify and Wimp don't have the DSP equalizer implemented.
Wow, helps to read..found this in the DSP Manager helpfile:
Code:
DSP Manager is per-output audio adjustment application.....
The manager can only enable it for applications which are compliant with android's audio effects specification, i.e. most music players.
I don't know how equalizer functions compared to DSP though since that one works.
/Edit: Is the DSP Manager implementation the same as which is used by Google Music?
Same problem here with a moto defy green lens and CM9 epsylon's last build.
DSP works only with Apollo and not with mixzing or cube player like it did before when i was running CM7 !
I can not post urls beacause I am new to the forum but if you go to thread
"url_of_xda_forum/showthread.php?t=1732812"
You can find:
[MOD]Modified DSP Manager with BEATS audio. For CM9, MIUI & AOKP.(6.25.12)
and your Galaxy Nexus is in the list of the working devices
Hope I was helpful, regards
I noticed the same also. I would expect for instance that increase volume settings would apply to resolve the low volume problem in GN especially for ringtones and alarms.
I have been Viper4Android for a while and I noticed that the effects that I applied on Viper4Android does not apply in PowerAmp but it applies to other music players. I have tried music players such as; Winamp, google music, Fusion but they don't work as good as Viral. Viral seems to have the full effects of V4A. But the thing is that Viral needs internet to play music. I have tried the compatibility mode but it does not seem to work.
V4A FX v2.3.3.0
PowerAMP 2.0.9 build 558

That would be something to ask in the V4A thread.
Hello,
My LG g3 doesn't have an equalizer or bass booster.
I really want a bass booster so I downloaded an app.
First it worked, but when I updated to android 5 no equalizer app works.
Please help me, how can I use a bass booster and equalizer?
My software version: V20f-EUR-xx
Thanks in advance,
Anyone?
??
Dunno if it helps but Google play music has an equalizer in settings.

I used Jet Audio Plus but I haven't tested it on Android 5 cos I just updated to Android 5. This player has a 20 band equalizer and it sounds awesome on my Beats Solo headphones. :good: The link provided is for the paid version but you can test the free version before purchasing the full version

Thanks for the reply,
I've tested it but it doesn't work either.
Note that I use Spotify
I saw that google play music has an equalizer, but I have to pay for using that and Spotify do I get for free.

In any external application I dont see a significant change..Someone can tell me there a way to measure the output of audio ?
seems that the dsse funcion work in spotify, if you go to the audio seetting of spotify e select the eq, will pop up the sony eq pannel with the dsse fuction active if you'll have enable it.
fot hr question of the benefit of the dsse it works great on low quality music and personaly i exclude it cause i use flac file, but in low quality mp3 you'll hear the difference with the dsse on or off
Have you tried with/without DSEEHX in multiple app with the same song in Spotify ?
'Cause for me sound is clearly different with/without it
But it seems it does not work on Soundcloud & Youtube :/
Rebirth of the topic. Anyone know if the DSEE HX function works in Spotify now?? Thanks
