hello everyone, my friend got this phone and he was using all the time the 2G network. i am from greece, when i got the phone i saw that there was no 3g network. the phone was getting only 2g network. when i checked the imei i wsaw that it had the format 0 /01, i tried to fix it with any solutions but i couldnt, the phone was not even rooted before. i rooted it. tried lots of things but couldnt manage to fix anything.
if anyone knows how to restore the imei please tell me.
If you previous don't have a back-up, you're screwed. You need a special tool box to insert the IMEI back. As the phone progress, it becoming increasingly hard to restore IMEI by just ADB. Plus its against forum rule.

use this app its free in play store his names mobile unkle mtk tools and write the imei from the engenier mode manually

I have following problem. I bought used phone with cm10.2.1 installed. After one day i realized problem with hsdpa connection. I put my sim card into another phone and it was ok.Then I started reading about issue and realize it could be problem with IMEI.
I check my IMEI and it seems to be ok. I went back to stock rom using Odin but problem is still there. I think I can connect to BTS, but in my phone mobile network type is Unknown:0.
I don't live in US so i don't have Us sim card, but my friends also in my country with AT&T phone could get access to hsdpa. In my country hsdpa is on UMTS 2100
Is there any way that I can check if my efs is ok? Could it be problem with hardware or rather software?
I found solution posted by umar4u, he attached file to NV writer to repair 3g and 4g issue. Is it save? Can I brick my phone or "only" mess in my efs?
Problem was solved writing NV items. I don't know if I can delete post, so please delete my post
Hello, recently I had to reinstall stock tmo on my s6 edge because of a soft brick.
Everything was back to normal, my phone is unlocked to use in Brazil. After a couple of days running stock tmo, the phone stopped connecting to the network I use, but still had data connection. So now I can only use 4g but can´t place calls.
Any suggestions? Should I try different radio firmware? Different ROM?

Problem solved, bad imei.
Bro, the problem is that your phone is locked. I had the same problem and the solution was unlocking the phone. In this comunity there is a guy who unlock phones for free! check his post...

I'll try to be brief. lol .Before finding this site I brought my unlocked S4 mini to wind to see if it will work. The guy found the 1700 freq in the phone service menu and changed something and said it won't keep on 1700 then he said something about the nv write. After a while he handed it back and said it wouldn't work. I put my bell sim in afterward it said no sim. it won't find any bell sim now. I tried a friends telus sim and it finds the sim fine and shows voicemail notifications but when I tried to call it says not connected to network. I can see the networks but when trying to connect, the signal drops and phone says "network not available try later". After it tries to connect the signal returns to normal.
So I found this site
I successfully rooted the phone with S4Mini_RootKit_v2.zip. It worked fine but had the same network problem. I fully rooted with cm11, then 12. Same problem.
I loaded a pit file gotten gaciously from sammobile. Same problem
I've returned all firmware to factory and undone root but still same issue.
The imei and serial number match the sticker on the back so they are not invalid.
The wifi and bluetooth and general operations are normal.
I'm guessing that the nv was rewritten and to recovery as well? But I really don't know as I am very new at this but have been doing a lot of reading.
1. Is there a way to restore the nv without a backup from my phone?
2. Is there a way to restore the service programming back to factory default? (I've seen this question asked before but only found the answer it is proprietory, whatever that means)
I have qpst and efs professional and a qcn file I was able to download from the internet
3. This qcn file is from unreliable source. Could I damage my phone more than it already is, and can i edit my imei and sn into it?

I painstakingly manually edited using qpst and restored all changed setting to a previous copied save.
Need help here! I forgot to backup my oneplus 9 pro LE2127 when I tried to root my phone using TWRP，and I installed TWRP in my phone's boot partition which wiped out all data in that partition. I used TWRP side loaded Global ROM to recover my phone but the phone doesn't have any signal with sim card in. Used MSM tool backe to T-Mobile 11.2.5.5 and still same problem, sim card can be read but no signal. Flashed T-Mobile modem but modem b failed, it says no such partition.
Bought this phone from third party. Any suggestion is appreciated.

Yesterday updated my device to the new "stable" 12.0.0.0 . And since then I have not cellular signal.
Tried network reset
Tried fix the APN.
Nothing helps
I can receive SMS, and can use the mobile data. But no calls and no send sms. No signal at all.

have you tried to flash Android 11 from MSM TOOL,MAYBE it can help
In my case my IMEI was lost after flashing through MSM SMT MODE,THEN IT WAS SHOWING 0 THEN ,I WAS ABLE TO RECOVER IT THROUGH FLASHING OEM_DYCNVBK IN TWRP BY DD COMMANDS,

So i flashed another rom network appears but cant make calls or internet
Now my phone works good but no network

I don't also remember the original rom come with phone
I flashed the phone without check my old version
Very sad of all this

May be this can help:
I had the same problem abroad. Check settings with your provider are right.
I couldn't find wifi, because my settings using phone abroad where out.
